Great Travel System for the Price
04/23/2014
I received a Walmart gift card to purchase an Urbini stroller in order to facilitate this review and all opinions are my own.
The first thing I noticed about my new Touri Travel System is the sleek design. I chose the all black and couldn't be happier when I received it. It looks like a $200+ stroller, so if you are looking for a good looking stroller while keeping some money in your pocket, this may be it!
I have 4 kids (5 and under) and have used quiet a few different strollers. Here is what I thought about the new Touri Travel System. As far as the pros, I love how lightweight is it. It makes it very convenient to get in and out of my van, so I have fewer people giving me the "poor struggling mom" look! It is super compact and fits nicely in the back of our van along with my groceries and whatever else you'll find back there. It's easy to open and close so it makes the little stops much more preferable. The sun visor is quiet large for being a light weight travel stroller which is a bonus and it tucks away nicely when you don't need it. The removable child's arm bar is very easy to remove. The reason I say this is that I have had problems with other strollers and it gets a little old when you need to get it on and off quickly. As for the cons, I have to say there aren't that many. I have been pretty impressed with the stroller. The only thing I can really think of is it would be nice to have a snack tray (but isn't necessary), and the storage is not huge, but if comparing this to an umbrella storage (with no storage) this is a BONUS!
Now about the Car Seat/Base. Installing the base into my van was very easy. I've only owned one other car seat before this one, so comparing it to that one, this one is incredibly light. This is great when caring my little girl around in and makes it convenient when getting her in and out of the car, but I do get a little alarmed because I feel that the lightness may cause it not to do well if I were in an accident, but I could definitely be wrong. The car seat clicks into the stroller with ease and the sun visor along with the car seat canopy makes a great shield from mother nature. I typically have smaller babies when I deliver, so transporting my baby home is always a little nerve wracking because they never fit snug in their car seat until now. This one comes with a body support and a preemie insert, which will definitely keep your baby snug. As for the cons I feel that the harness lock lacks a bit, for it feels a little flimsy and when I thought it was done up I quickly noticed that I hadn't clicked it in all the way and was glad that I saw it before I began to drive.
Overall, I think this is a great travel system, especially for the price and would recommend it to others seeking a lightweight and practical stroller/car seat combo.
