Great for My Super Active Toddler
03/26/2015
Huggies provided me free samples to review but all opinions are my own.
I have a little boy who just turned 2, and these diapers have been a godsend. I learned with my first son that having the right diaper is essential when it comes to little boys - especially at night time. These diapers definitely go the distance. Not only does my son wake up several times a night, wandering the house, but he tosses and turns in bed and our old diapers used to wiggle off or leak. These ones stay put and stay dry, no matter how many drinks of water we have to get him in the night.
I've not always used this brand in the past, but I will definitely be using it in the future. They really are a godsend.

The Perfect Travel System
02/22/2015
I received this product to facilitate my review, all opinions are my own.
I was so excited to get my hands on this new stroller after having reviewed the Touri travel system a while back. I have loved my Touri for the last year, as it is so compact and easy to use. But now that I have had my third baby, I needed to upgrade to a sturdier model with more features.
The Emi is perfect for us. All the things we loved about the Touri are here - ease of use, storage, maneuverability and a funky look. But this one has so much more. The Touri is a great stroller if you don't need to take much with you. There's a small basket underneath, but other than that there wasn't much it could hold. Its flimsy detachable drink holder was a big letdown, as I ALWAYS have a drink with me. But the Emi has a BRILLIANT and super sturdy (yet still detachable) double drink holder at the handles, as well as a double drink/food holder for the child!
The basket underneath is bigger and sturdier than on the Touri, and it comes with an added bonus of a zippered compartment so you can put things you don't want to lose. I haven't seen this on other strollers, so I was very impressed.
The stroller is really sturdy and the purple color is gorgeous. I love it. The car seat fits securely in the stroller so you can go from baby to toddler with no problems. And the carseat itself is fantastic and perfect for any car. The base fits securely with no issues and the seat easily attaches to it.
It is all very easy to assemble, and you will be up and running in minutes.
The only letdown (if you can call it that) is that it isn't as easy to fold away as the Touri is. There's a hidden pocket in the seat that you have to reach under and pull up on a strap to get it to fold. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure it out, but it works fine and just takes a few seconds longer.
All in all, I love the whole travel system and would recommend it to anyone who has a new baby and needs a great stroller and car seat combo.

Saved Me $2500 on New Carpets!
07/19/2014
I received a Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner sample to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
We are about to move across the country, and we are going to be renting our house out instead of selling it. Our property managers said that the stains in our carpets would never come out, and we would have to replace them at a cost of $2500. So when I was asked to review the Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner, I didn't have a lot of hope.
In all honesty, I was amazed. Our carpets were definitely in bad shape. They are white carpets, and I have two young children under 3 who have spilled food and drink and tracked mud and other debris throughout. There are stains from juice, which are set in, and there are tons of really horrible black stains from I don't even know what. I have been ashamed when we had guests over, and we had to buy a large area rug to cover up the carpets when they got to be too bad.
I started with a small square of carpet about 2 feet by 2 feet, using masking tape to mark it off. Then I followed the directions (which are incredibly simple!) and began using the cleaner. It took me less than five minutes, and the results were enough to make me literally squeal! I have included a before and after photo so you can see the results. In one afternoon, I actually ended up doing every inch of carpet in our living room and hallway, as well as our stairs. The results were astounding.
Our carpets look 100% better. I would NOT say they look brand new... they are at least 7 years old, and you just aren't going to make them look pristine. But all of the worst stains have been completely removed. Unfortunately, at this point, we still have some light pink staining around from juice spills that have already set. They used to be darker red, so it's a huge improvement, but it did not completely remove them.
It also did take some elbow grease to get up some of the stains. We had to use a metal scraper to pull up some of the gunk, and we scrubbed a little with the oscillating brush. But all in all, I was very impressed with the product and how it worked, and I would have NO hesitation in recommending it to anyone. I think the results speak for themselves. Especially when you see how dirty the water gets in the waste bucket!

Finally a PERFECT lightweight stroller system!
04/26/2014
I received a Walmart gift card to purchase an Urbini stroller in order to facilitate this review and all opinions are my own.
With two small boys running around, it is difficult sometimes for us to go anywhere without a struggle. Our old stroller worked great, but it was bulky and took so much time to open and close and get everyone situated. The Urbini Touri is truly a great travel system. The car seat is perfect for my one year old. Very durable and easy to use. And with another baby on the way, I have no doubt it will transition well.
The stroller is in a league of its own. I've tried SO many "cheap" umbrella strollers, and they either fall apart quickly or are just plain difficult to steer. The Touri is smooth and elegant, and it takes up very little room and is super easy to use - even with one hand. I love the sun hood, which is perfect for Central Florida. It has a small basket underneath for holding random items, and while the cupholder is slightly flimsy, it is great that it is included.
All in all, I am really impressed, and I really do love it. I would highly recommend it for vacations, sight seeing and even travel through airports and amusement parks. It is great bang for your buck.
