FIRST ONE PURCHASED 3YRS AGO. DROPPED THE HEADS OUT OF THE CAR WHEN BANGING IT TO CLEAN IT OUT...TROUBLE IS WHEN CARS RUN OVER IT, THERE IS NOTHING LEFT. BEST SHAVER I'VE HAD. USED MY SONS WHILE WAITING FOR MINE TO COME IN. HE HAS A VERY EXPENSIVE BRAUN THAT DOES NOT COME CLOSE TO THIS ONE.

This was the second shaver I tried in my quest to replace my 20+ year old Braun System 1-2-3 foil shaver. After trying and returning the Remington F4-4790 (foil ripped after 2 months) I thought I'd try a rotary shaver. It was on sale, $39.97 marked down from $49.97. It had good reviews so I figured I would try it. What a total waste of time. It took forever to shave my average facial hair and it did a terrible job on my upper lip, under my lower lip and on my neck above my Adam's apple. They recommend cleaning the heads every month; what a pain that is. You have to take out each cutter separately and clean it. Very time consuming. I used it for 2 months and finally had enough and returned it and bought a Braun 3 Series 320. It cost a little more but it gives me the best shave I've ever had

I was going to buy new blades for my other norelco, but it made more sense to buy this razor deal because it came with and extra set of blades. Now I have new blades and a set of spare blades, it was like getting a new razor almost free. Plus, this razor seems to shave better. Very happy.

My previous Norelco lasted over 30 years, worked good, then I dropped it and couldn't get a replacement part. This one shaves closer, really smooth, ... Love it! Hope it lasts another 30 years.

My Braun stop working after about 10 years. I charged the shaver and used it once a day everyday. I had to recharge it after 10 days. Top pops out and can be completely removed for cleaning. Really quiet when on. The floating heads makes an easy and close shave. So glad I didn't waste my money on those expensive electric razors.

2 things I am concerned about is that I still have skin irritation, I was hoping with the new blades that would take care of it. and did not notice on the ad that it did not have a popup trimmer I guess that was my own fault.

As I had never used an electric razor before, I was expecting a bit of skin irritation. To my surprise, there wasn't any at all, and definitely nothing similar to the razor burn you can get with manual blades. While the Norelco PT720 doesn't get you the smooth-as-a-tomato close shave a traditional razor would, it's reasonably close, and you certainly couldn't tell the difference without touching the skin in question. One full charge of the battery is good for three or four shaves, though there's no reason not to plug the razor in once you're done if you're using it at home.
The instructions for cleaning the razor didn't seem very clear, but that may just be due to my inexperience. To clean the cutting heads, just press the button to open the razor's business end, check for any visible hair clippings (taking care of them with the supplied cleaning brush if found), then rinse out the head of the razor (and only the head) under running water. It will need to be rinsed after each use to remain in top working condition. If you go several days without doing so, or if you shaved longer-than-normal stubble, you'll want to disassemble the cutting heads (which is fairly easy to do) and clean the whole thing with the brush.
If you're looking for an electric razor, I can't recommend the Norelco PT720 highly enough, especially at the (50% off any retail store) Walmart.com price. At the time of writing, there are also bundles available, such as a free electric travel razor or a $10 Walmart.com gift card with your purchase.
