This converter box is a good value for the money.Other boxes cost much more and are sometimes not available at other stores.Purchased item on line and online purchase ship to store was very convenient.My only real complaint is that the remote control can't be used to control the tv.Othe than that it is a fine unit and I would recommend it.It was pretty easy to set up and I love the features.

This product exceeded my expectations. I have an older 36 inch analog television in our basement that I did not have connected to Satellite service. I attached a HDTV Antenna and the Magnavox digital converter to it and I get a great picture for free. It was easy to set up without having to read a large instruction book. It has a small setup pamphlet that shows you how to use the on-screen setup menu that was very straight forward. I highly recommend this product to anyone trying to save some money.

THIS DIGITAL CONVERTER IS THE WORST I'VE EVER OWNED ! DIFFICULT TO SET UP ! WORTHLESS TECHNICAL SUPPORT. CANNOT DELETE SUB-STATIONS WITHOUT DELETING THE ENTIRE CHANNEL SET-UP. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT A NEGATIVE BUT A "1" STAR IS AS LOW AS IT GOES. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE !!!!!

In our search for ways to economize, my husband and I decided to explore alternatives to the high cost of cable/satellite television. We ordered the digital converter and have found a whole new world of programming. The catalyst for this was actually a channel to which many of my favorite cooking/craft programs have migrated and is available on cable, but not through our satellite provider. A severe thunderstorm that was part of the horrific weather system called Sandy came through last night and completely disrupted t.v. reception--except in our bedroom, where our t.v. was re-wired to the digital converter and boosted by a very small indoor antenna. We didn't miss our program, and I'm still learning a lot--FOR FREE!

Great product in contrast to the RCA that was on stock. Pictures are clear, I was familiar with the product because I already owned one, easy to set up and easy on the budget, no cable - should be all anyone ever needs. Everything functions whereas the RCA digital tuner - part of the buttons on the remote worked and the other half did not (volume). I am happy with this product.

Read the other reviews before I bought this. Decided to go with Magnavox rather than the less expensive brand. It was easy to set up. Need to work on syncing the antenna or try a different antenna. It works great. Gave it 4 stars because I think it would be good to suggest and antenna. Could not believe how many different antenna there are. Picture on TV is great but it does break up now and then.

I had to call customer service because the converter would not work. The operator told me to turn my radio to the AM channel. The product's remote was defective. So I returned the product at my local Walmart for refund.

I just picked up the Magnavox Digital Converter box.It took us
about five minutes to get everything set up.I am also using
a Spectrum 3 digital Amplified Antenna from antennahub.com.
Boy was I amazed at how many channels that antenna picked
up.This antenna netted me channels up to
60.The converter box provided a picture better than cable direct tv.
Good by cable and direct tv.I have noticed the converter box will
turn its self off after a certain period of time.I was watching tv..last
night and the screen just went fuzzy.No problem I just turned the
converter box back on and selected a channel.This box is a must
have.
