My 'toy vacuum' quit!

I purchased this on 12/15/12. It is now May and there is NO suction. I have always made sure to dump the cannister as soon as it is getting full, every week or so (I use it daily) I hand wash the sponge part of the filter & bang clean the paper one to keep it running nicely........did not help. It comes on (quite LOUD I might add) just fine & runs, but the suction is very poor. Here in East Texas we have red dirt and it has stopped cleaning my area rugs of the dirt & dog hair. Only dust bunnies and a light patches of dog hair on the tile/wood are now making it up the hose, no pick up on the rugs at all. Very disappointed because it worked SO GOOD for 4 months. Should have spent a little more $$$, lessen learned.

I was looking for a light-weight, affordable, vacuum with great suction power, and I definately got all of that with this product! It handles well over floor surfaces, as well as, carpet. It's easy to clean and easy to store up when finished! The only thing I wished a little different, was the vacuum button to lower the head of the vacuum down seems stubborn to relase/drop down from after stepping onto the release button, but this could be from it still being new. Other than that, I would most definately recommend this vacuum to others, as I love using it!!

It was a good vacuum at first but about a year later the suction is minimum. For some reason it collects dust so when ever I use it dust just blows all over, I gave it ahead to toe wash and next time I used it, it was so dusty didn't even look clean. good for someone desperate or a couple times use but other than that, Horrible vacuum !!

This vac does a great job on carpet and hard floors. It is not a 20 mule team product but for its size it is a big bang for the $$. Easy to dump and filter clean. A bit noisy but what the heck....Try it,you'll like it!

I bought this machine as a stand in until I could get my large vacuum repaired. I was so surprised at how much this small, lightweight vacuum picks up .. in fact, it does a better job than my larger vacuum when it was brand new! You will have to empty the cannister each time you use it, because of it's size, but it is so easy to remove .. just press the button and it comes right out, as does the "flip-top" bottom .. just hold it over the trash can, press the button and the lid opens and after emptying it, with one finger, push the lid back up and it closes .. no mess, no fuss. With my larger machine, I had to fight to get the cannister placed just right before it would fit back into the machine, but this one fits in easily. I've already given my recommendation to family and friends!

I bought one from Walmart during Christmas 2012. For the past 14 months, I used it once a week to clean a two story house. I had to replace the belt and the F44 HEPA filter only once. Overall, the vacuum cleaner is very good. It sucks up lots of dust. However, today while I was cleaning the carpet on the stairs, it just stopped working without any warning. I tried to plug it into other power outlets around the house but it just won't start up again. Oh well, all good things must come to an end someday.

I bought this vacuum to have for the upstairs so I wouldn't have to keep carrying my big one up to always vacuum the carpets in bedrooms. This vac is perfect and does the job as well as my big one! Very impressed! Glad I purchased it.

I purposely ordered from Walmart.com as the earlier vacuum I bought last fall from a local Walmart store was inadequate (a Eureka). I know that my local Walmart does not carry upright Dirt Devil vacuums. These are great machines: light and efficient. I find Walmart.com a valuable source of products.

Here are the things I liked about this vacuum cleaner: 1. It is so light easy to use. 2. It is easy to throw out the dirt from the canister 3. Easy to put together 4. Suction was considerably strong
What I did not like:
1. It stopped working within 15 minutes. 2. Something snapped the belt I am sure. 3. It grabbed on to the carpet and I could barely move it. 4. The cord is not well thought out and not long enough 5. It is not easy rolling it on the carpet takes effort despite its lightweight.

What I think. With all the advance in technology, I would expect the company to use materials that does not allow a belt to break so easily. I would suggest better testing of a product before releasing it.

My mom bought one a few months back and finally I decided to buy my own so I wouldn't have to keep walking next door to borrow hers. The only down fall is it has somewhat of a short cord. But it's still very use-able. I love it. It wasn't too expensive & it's a very strong vacuum.

Although the vacuum does not have a removable hose attachment, it's a great little vacuum. My old dirt devil had a hose that constantly got clogged at it was a pain to unclog! This one is a little loud but has great suction and it has a filter that you can rinse, which is a plus. I have a 3 bedroom apartment and it works great for me. :)

I would recommend this for a dorm room or maybe to buy a teenager to clean their own room or help around the house. It only lasted a year in our family of 2 kids and a 3 bedroom apartment. I couldn't imagine if we had dogs or a lot of playdates. For minor cleaning its pretty good maybe not really worth 40 bucks though. (wait till it is on sale)
