An awesome canister vac. The long cord and hose allows me to go from room to room, unlike other vacuum cleaners. The price can't be beat for a canister vacuum with more than enough power to suck up any pet hair.

The brush is small enough to get into all corners. It sucks the litter away in a heartbeat and finally I got rid of all the cat hair on my sheets, mattress and so on.

I was wondering at first what the true difference is between the pet and non pet and decided what the hay, I have dogs, I hate their hair might as well. Truly, if you have pets this is a great vacuum! There is a filter on the back that helps prevent the flow of dust and dander back onto your freshly vacuumed floor! I have used it on my blinds and tile floor and have been extremely satisfied. I originally purchased this because my mom had one and it's still working great after 15 years!

The Mighly Mite Pet Lover does have very good suction and cleans wood and tile floors very well. The addition of the pet brush was worth a bit more money--as the weather gets warmer, my dog and cats are shedding an enormous amount of fur and the Mighty Mite Pet Lover has handled it easily.
Since it has bags, cleanup is quick, easy, and dust free (this may be very important to people with respiratory problems like asthma, COPD, etc.-- the dust output of cleaning the bagless vacuum I had before this was horrible.) The disposible bags are relatively inexpensive. Another great feature for the respiratory challenged--the Pet Lover model includes a HEPA filter.
The vacuum is very lightweight. I've primarily had uprights but with age comes the wisdom that wrestling a 25 lb. vacuum is an unnecessary problem. This canister moves well and the hose is firmly attached. I cannot say the same where the hose connects to the metal part of the "wand"--but a little duck tape handled that. It is wonderful for getting under beds and raised furniture.
The system for wrapping the electric cord to the underside of the canister is pretty ridiculous--it would be wonderful if the cord were retractable. Currently I bundle the cord, which is plenty long, with a rubber band.
The vacuum comes with a floor attachment, crevice tool, and a combined fabric-upholstery tool. The floor attachment is fine for hard surfaces but not so great for area rugs. The combined fabric-upholstery tool is not useful. I ordered separate tools through eBay.
Although I haven't had this long enough to speak to its durability, overall I would give the little vacuum high marks. It is doing a very good job of cleaning up after five pets. It is economical, easy to clean out, and not like having to push an elephant around. I would especially recommend it for anyone with respiratory problems or a bad back. If Eureka would address the cord and tool issues, this would be an extraordinary vacuum.

This vacuum has great suction and picks up the hair well. I have a yellow lab who sheds heavily and it cleans it well. I was surprised the head on the vacuum doesn't have a roller though. Works better on the hardwood than the carpet but still gets it all up!

Good little vacuum, lightweight. I needed it primarily for carpeted stairs. Doesn't have the suction power I had hoped for a golden retriever and chow with long hair. But it does an adequate job. Would probably be the perfect vacuum for someone with light pet hair issues and low pile carpet.

We removed most of the carpet in our home so we could have pets. This vacuum is easy to use and woks for our carpet areas and non-carpet areas. We are very happy with it, and it was not as expensive as an upright.

well this vacuum does have alot of suction! really good for being small and lightweight also the attachments are great love the power paw...the only thing is there is so much suction it's hard to vacuum small rugs without adjusting the ring on the tube to make less suction...good for wall to wall and bare floors...

Picks up pet hair and other tiny debris just like it's supposed to.... Great on bare floors, furniture and heavier area rugs. I would not recommend it for large carpeted areas though...

This vacuum gets clogged easily, and I have only used it once. Not good for carpeting, hard to push back and forth, doesn't roll easily. And my carpeting isn't that high.

I have owned this Mighty Mite Canister Vacuum for 19 years. I have used it multiple times a week on hardwood floors, kitchen floors, bathroom floors, walls, ceilings, ceiling fans, a wood stove, our brick hearth, spiders/spider webs, inside linen cupboards, inside cars, on furniture, in the fireplace, on the front porch and back patio. I virtually use it everywhere I need to remove dirt, dust and debris. I have used it in multiple homes. When I have used it in the fireplace or the wood stove (when all ashes are cold), I clean the vacuum head so I don't get ashes anywhere else. The bags are easy to remove and are sold just about everywhere. I do not have pets. I bought a soft boar bristle brush attachment and use it to dust furniture or paintings on the wall. I HAVE NEVER HAD IT REPAIRED. The suction is 12 amps/900 watts which is EXCELLENT. I can put the wand/vacuum head on the floor and see it suck up dirt or spilled sugar from about 1-2 inches away. It's still that powerful even after 19 years. I am just now having to replace the hose because it has gotten cracks in it reducing the suction power. It is easy to clean the filter. The vacuum wand is easily maneuvered to get under furniture and beds, into corners and next to the refrigerator. The vacuum head has a very low profile so it fits under just about everything. A couple of times it seemed like the vacuum was broken because of a loss/decrease in suction but it was just that the hose was clogged. This was easily fixed by detaching it from the canister and shoving a broom handle through the hose to knock the debris out (this was usually pine needles from the Christmas Tree). It also is much more quiet than my stand-up carpet vacuum. I can hear the phone ring when using the Mighty Mite but I can't with the stand-up carpet vacuum.

I expected a better made vacuum for $80 when I placed the order. Although, it's light weight & has a good suction but I don't think this vacuum will last long. The hose is paper thin so it will be the first to break after the kinks kick in over time. The connecting tube came lose too easily when I vacuumed, hence I had to grab it at a lower position to ensure it stayed put. Also, I had to constantly adjust the "air flow" for suction power because the two connecting tubes just twirled around too easily. Overall, it's cheaply made and I am not impressed with it simply because it cost $80, not $30. I have an Eureka Maxima upright that cost me less than $50 and is much better made than this canister. One postive thing though it made my job easier to vacuum the blinds and valence because it's light. As for pet hair, it did the job on the hard surface floors and maybe on certain heavier area rugs if you only needed a light brush on the surface. I wish I didn't buy it but it's water under the bridge now - no desire to deal with the manufacturer.

I have all hardwood and tile floors. This vacuum is perfect for them. I didn't have a lot of money to invest in a vacuum at this time, so this was perfect. It has strong suction. The only thing I don't like is the suction control. It is right on the handle where my hand hits. I am always opening it accidently.
