I have used the older model, it was perfect until one day after 4 years of used and abused the handle broke but it was still usable. I bought two Hoover that are 12 amperes but not the Nano model at first because I thought my old one was 12 amp but probably if I buy the Nano there will be less suction. Here are what are missing with this model compare to my old Nano:
1. 7 amp vs 12 amp to old Nano
2. Handle old Nano pressing down to a shorter handle. New Nano I have to take it off. I used it on my stairs because it is really lightweight.
3. Because of the handle being removed there is no where to grip the machine when I am doing the stairs

Other than that even with a 7 amp it has very good suction power and very lightweight and the Hoover people will just need to modify the handle design and keep everything the way it is then it will be my perfect Nano ever.

When my vacuum stopped working, I borrowed my sister's Nano Cyclone to do my carpets in my apartment. I was very impressed with this little power house vacuum. It was light weight, moved with ease, and best of all, it is easy to empty with the push button feature. I loved it! My carpets looked great. Yes, I will be purchasing a Nano for myself! I am IMPRESSED!

I wanted a light weight vacuum for my condo, with good suction and easy to clean. This fits the bill exactly. Can't beat the price and I paid an extra $5.00 for another year's warranty.....still can't beat the price! A little dynamo, I am very happy with the purchase.

I have used this vacuum for over a year at the marina I work at. I clean boat carpets with it. It hasn't ever let me down. Easy to clean, powerful, lightweight, durable to name a few pros. On;y con is the cord length is a bit too short. I am for certain recommending this. I just went out and bought one for myself at home and it doubled my older vacuums suction. Awesome!

No performance - Didn't vacuum up anything

There are only three positive things I can say about this vacuum.
#1 It is light weight
#2 It is easy to assemble no tools required.
#3 It has good suction when you release the clamp to use the hose.
There are three negative things to say about this vacuum.
#1 Once the vacuum was put together I would have had to be She Woman to use the wand. I pressed on the release wand button and couldn't get the wand out to use it in the corners. I guess it was stuck? I even had both of my children try and help me and I put my foot on the vacuum to keep it on the floor so I would have a good grip and the wand still never released or came out so I could use it.
My first attempts to vacuum a rug and vinyl flooring.
#2 I went to vacuum my rug in front of my door and dust/dog hair and dirt flew everywhere.
#3 I then tried to use it on my vinyl flooring and it wouldn't pick up anything.
The canister didn't have anything in it after my 2 attempts to vacuum.
It didn't matter if I had the brush roll control on or off no matter where I vacuumed it wouldn't suck up anything and nothing went into the canister. I could hear the difference when the rollers were on and off but since it wasn't picking up anything it went back into the box after several attempts to have it pick up something.
I am not happy at all and I am going to Walmart tonight to return the vacuum and purchase a different vacuum. I really love the Hoover steam mop but this vacuum did not perform for me at all. It's definitely true you really do get what you pay for!

This vacuum is awesome for the price. Easy to put together and use. We have indoor pets and my husband works in the yard alot. Picks up the dirt and the cup is easy to dump out. I don't use the hose, but my daughter used it to clean out her car and she liked it.

My husband and I have 2 dogs and live a in very small house with little carpet. This vacuum had amazing reviews so we got it. The first one we got stopped working within 6 months so we replaced it with another one and now it has stopped working. We have cleaned it out really well and it just wont pick anything up. It spits everything it picks up right back out. Also it over heats and goes off for about 20 to 30 minutes. This vacuum makes cleaning a small room so frustrating and time consuming. It shouldn't take someone an hour to vacuum a room a little bigger then the size of a bathroom. I never leave reviews but I remembered how we where mislead from these reviews and thought I should let people know our experience with it. Maybe it's a great vacuum for single people that don't have a lot of people at there home but if you have pets or children I wouldn't look into getting this one. Hope this was helpful.

We used this for 1 year and 1 month and took very good care of it, cleaning filters often and not abusing it. One month out of warrantee and the motor chewed itself up and spit out a bunch of pieces of metal. It sucked good and cleaned well while it worked but to die after just over a year... well, that makes it a piece of junk in my book. They say you get what you pay for... however, just one year doesn't qualify as getting what I payed for. Bottom line, don't buy!

Best one I've ever bought. It works brilliantly! If you are a college student needing something for your dorm, have a small apartment, or don't mind cleaning one room at a time, this is perfect! I've had full size vacuums that couldn't compare to the power of this little beauty, and it maneuvers like a charm! The chamber is small and has to be cleaned between rooms, but the light weight more than makes up for that.
