Purchased at Walmart.com Oct 2012 (Magic Chef 1.1 cu ft MCM1110W where W = white). This unit purchased replaced an Emerson Microwave that we owned for approximately 3 yrs that failed (the Emerson would start running when you opened the door). We have not had any problems at this point (used for 5 months). Positives... Price $74; Features: Express Cook by minutes; Easy to set Power Level Function; Popcorn Setting-adjustable time; Timed Defrost; Size was perfect for cabinet width & height plus the slightly larger size compared to the old unit is nice; Easy to clean; The unit does a good job of heating food--primarily used for frozen dinners, heating vegetables, baking potatoes, reheating items, defrosting, etc and of course my popcorn addiction. Negative...Would have preferred a handle as opposed to the large push button design. One note, in reading reviews prior to purchase there were a number of comments regarding bubbling of the operating display panel which we wrote off as simply the protective plastic covering that is over the panel and removal of which is not addressed in the manual. However, our unit does have a very slight raised area where the "popcorn and soup" selections are located but this does not appear to be getting worse or creating any problem. Based on our experience so far I would purchase this unit again.

I researched all different types of microwaves, color, size, wattage, weight, and this came out at the top. It had all the choices I wanted and a few extra. I really like the style. My last microwave was black and very heavy, so I wanted one that was anything but black and not as heavy.

i have only had this product a few weeks, but am very pleased with the item. i had my last microwave for 15 years and it still worked well. i just felt it was time to replace it and though this is a different brand, it is most similar to the one i had. all the same features and it performs well, so far.

Haven't had this a month and not totally satisfied. I find it hard to open. Just pushing on the door latch does not open the door. I have to put fingers underneath oven and then press latch with a very hard thumb push to get it to release. Also, I am hearing strange noises when cooking - like turntable is having difficulty turning. The reason I bought this was because the turntable in my my "old" microwave would not turn anymore. But it never made any noises before it quit - it just "died". Of course, I only had it since 2001, so I guess I can't really complain. The latch and the noises on the new one are causing me concern. Guess will just have to "wait and see".

I bought this as a reasonable priced microwave for normal household use. Works well, quiet and doesn't take up too much space.
My only issue is closing the door, I have pinched my fingers a number of times as the space between the door and the keypad is non-existent and if you close it using finger tips or the flat part of the hand expect to be pinched, keep little fingers away from closing it.
Would be good if it had a handle like the other models.

Larger area than most to fit bigger plates is a plus! It's also a higher wattage than my previous microwave which means it cooks faster! It used to take me 2 and a half minutes to heat water for tea, now it's only 1 and a half minutes. Love it!

After a microwave we purchased at Walmart failed after just a few weeks, I learned to read the customer reviews more thoroghly. The first unit we bought was rated by customers about as poorly as possible, but I didn't notice that at the time. So far, this Magic Chef has been absolutely fantastic, and it has a 91% customer favorability rating. It not only has a near-perfect customer review, but is a superior product than found in their stores for only a few dollars more. I just wish Walmart would carry this unit in their stores, rather than online only. If you can wait a week or so, forget the in-store bargains and buy this one.

I just picked up the microwave the other day, so I have yet put it to the test. I only give it 3stars because how great can a microwave be. If the microwave pulled the food out of the refrigerator and cooked it for me, then I would be impressed. I will say this though, I was trying to be cheap and save shipping charges, which was only$5.00, by picking this item at the store. I won't do this again. I could have had this item in about 3-4 days, instead it took 2 weeks to get it to the store. I don't know if this is common since this was the first time I ordered anything through the store.

Amazing what going from 850W to 1000W does for food. My microwave was 15 years old and on its last leg. I needed a smaller microwave to fit in my kitchen and this microwave is awesome for the compact size. It has shortcut buttons that I'm still figuring out, but they seem useful.
