Overall a really good book. Has it all. Includes a sense of mystery and suspense all while still remaining a love story. Has twists and turns you will not expect. Surprise ending that will make you glad you read it. Encourages you to reevaluate your own morals and beliefs. A truly inspiring love story that makes you wish you had the same. Includes a murder mystery for those of you who love the thrill of criminal justice. Leaves you second guessing who killed the person. You are constantly reevaluating what you believe will happen. Characters are so real that you feel that you have a deep connection to them and so well developed that you want to get updates well after you finish the book. The narrative is told in an interesting back and forth style,between Chris,who is accused of murdering his life long friend and love. Picoult does a great job in getting us to know the two families. Story told from the viewpoints of both teenagers. Great plot that holds the readers interest throughout the book. Very sad story though, be prepared to shed tears if you are sensitive and easily connected to books. I highly recommend this book to anyone of any age, as I am only a teenager and found adults and pre-teens who loved this book as well. Although this story is a tragedy at other times it made me laugh. Overall, if you're looking for a book to capture you, this is it. After reading, I am sure you will want to read it again and again. You truly will not be able to put it down. I read it in 3 days because I could not get enough of it.

Oh Wow! What a great book! Picoult is a great author. I think she really knows young people today and what they must go through each and every day. You never know what is going on in the minds of your children. The end had a twist that was not expected. I loved this book!
