I dont do alot of reviews but I so far feel great about this treadmill so I thought I'd try to cover it all.
I've held off for years looking for the right deal and a good product. I purchased the 570 at my local store for 499.00 after not being able to find the Proform 850 that was on closeout for the same 499.00. It also helped that right now until 12/31 if you spend 499.00 or more with the WM Discover card its 18months no interest. :)
I also purchased the additional 3 year service warranty from WalMart for 44.00 dollars. So the treadmill now has 4 years coverage, 25 yrs motor and lifetime frame for 588.00 total after tax. Not sure how long you'll be able to get this model since its a close out item.
Ok so the treadmill itself. The Gold Gym name is from Norditrack who overall make a solid product so that helped me in deciding to buy the 570 along with the 81% satisfaction rate from the reviews. First off I was able to set it up on my own however my wife did help me put in place, we used furniture sliders to get it from the garage to where I wanted it, made it a breeze. (tip)
The framing is solid and the unit assembles pretty easy although the handrail supports feel a couple inches short for my liking but they work just fine. The moving arms also attach easily and stay out of the way but I really wont be using them. I like to do 1-2 min sprints and speed inclines.
You can hook your mp3 player to the board but the speakers are nothing to write home about however an audio book might be fine but dont expect to get much use out of them when your running as they sound very tinny. Some one else said the cup holders were odd fitting for a bottle but I so far I have no issues. The CPU board seems very light when you go to put it together which might make you think its cheap but knowing how technology has moved along the really isnt much to control boards these days.
The motor runs really smooth and is larger then the Proform I was looking at 2.8 hp vs. 2.5 and I was surprised to find how fast 10mph is outside of the gym units I use. I put the treadmill on the square work out mats I used for P90x and it really helps deaden the noise but overall its actually quieter than I had expected. The belt doesnt snag you up like some belts do when you jump to slow and fast speeds so thats a plus.
One of the best features of this treadmill for me at least is the "quick select" on the speed and the incline with the push of a button rather then having to punch a - or a + 10 times either way. When your running sprints its great to hit one button. I havent used the ifit workout yet but my wife is going to and let me know how it goes. Not sure if I can handle Jillian rooting me on during a run. I have used a pre set work out and it worked fine but I still like to do sprints overall but the pre set program is very varied and a nice change up.
We have the treadmill in the corner of our living room and being able to raise the surface up actually saves more space then I initially thought and its also pretty easy to lift up and down. The underside is all closed up so the bottom of the unit is not an eyesore at all. Ive already moved it around on the wheels just to see how it went and it rolls pretty easy as long as you keep a strong grip on it.
Overall, for the money (499.00 on clearance) the build quality and the mfg warranty combined with the optional warranty that you absolutely should purchase, this is a solid buy and is why I gave it 4 stars, its not commercial quality but for in home use with the proper PM kit this treadmill should last 10+ years. After 6-12 months of owning it I'll come back and update.
Hope this review helps as I know Ive gained alot of good info from product reviews before purchases.

Review 4 for Gold's Gym CrossWalk 570 Treadmill
Cant rate what you cant use

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had while ordering a product. I cannot rate it because I still have yet to be able to use it. When it arrived anything that was plastic on it was busted. I opened it late on a Friday so when I called the number provided on Saturday morning, no one was available as they only worked Monday through Friday. I called on Monday and told the lady I needed the left and right sleeves and the hood of the treadmill (every plastic part), as well as telling her that 6 of the screws AND THEIR PLASTIC pieces that were around them were busted. I received the right sleeve and the hood over a week later. She had also told me that someone would call me to set up a time to come fix it, which was a call I never received. I called back and talked with a guy this time and he was much more helpful. He informed me that the lady did not state all the pieces that I needed and that she did not put in there that someone was to come and fix it. He corrected it, ordered the screw/plastic parts and left sleeve, and set it up so that someone would call me to set up an appointment to fix it. A week later I received 6 screws, NO PLASTIC PARTS, and I have still yet to receive the left sleeve. I did receive the call from a lady who gave me another number to call when I received all the parts for someone to come fix it....but like I said, I have yet to STILL receive all the parts, and I only received 6 screws, not their plastic parts. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!

the only thing that i couldnt understand is why would they put the serial number underneath the treadmill walking surface. It is quite heavy and I had to get some help to lift it back up and write it down so I could activate my warranty. I was also emailing Walmart as to why when this was delivered I did not get a receipt of payment like with all other Walmart purchases.
It is an awesome treadmill..if you follow the long review one guy posted on what to do and not to do, you will have great success in putting it together. it took a couple hours, my daughters boyfriend did it and said there is a reason why nothing is tightened down until the very end.
I have mine upstairs in a room above the dining room and we do not hear it when someone is on it, only when its first turned on and you take off. We are fast walkers on it, not runners, some running might be heard but we bought the golds mat for underneath it.

Machine works great. Arm handles burn more calories and more sweat produced. My only complaint is when i picked up the product from the store, i brought it home getting things ready for my hubby to assemble and he found the motor hood and belly pan was cracked and pieces broke off. Although i had to call and order new parts, the service was quick and hassle free.

OK, first off I assume that for the price it won't last long, with that said it's probably the best idea to get an extended warranty (and Walmart's is great for the price)
Now on to the actual treadmill itself. The ride on this this is great. I've run on quite a bit of treadmills in the gym, some good and some not so good. This is one of the best feeling treadmills I've run on. It doesn't go past 10 which is fine for most people. I'm no runner, but I hope to be at some point, my normal is 8MPH and I hope to improve over time. I'll probably outgrow this by the end of my warranty but hey that would be an awesome goal. (getting back to the subject) This thing is also iFit ready, most treadmills are iFit capable but not ready. This meas you don't have to spend extra money to use the technology. It comes with a lv 1 card for Jillian M. But what's cooler is you can download a program to make your own workouts and customize it to your hears content ^_^
It's not all hearts and roses though, as stated previously the parts seem quite cheap (and it's heavy as heck to get in the house BTW). I also don't see the point of the arms. I installed them because it was part of the package but they get in the way more than anything so my Second suggestion (first being to get the warranty) is to not install the arms, it's pretty much a waste of time.

This is a well made unit and very solid. It was a real challenge to get into my hoouse because of the weight, but now it's together and working very well. I hope to use it very many years to come.

Overall the product is great, but putting it together was a little confusing at first and hard. Do not throw away the extra pages it comes with! There is an upgrade manual page in it on the first screw that wasn't included in the packet. Walmart gives an outstanding price for it, I compared it first to a few companies and found Walmart's price to be the best! The arms for the CrossWalk however aren't as efficient for the routines. They are for optional use and is not automated with the system. After a few uses, my husband said they loosened, you'll need to tighten them time after time. It does offer a variety of workouts not to mention the Jillian chip that gave it more. It's also a quiet machine! It hums which is good, I was so surprised to see when I stepped outside and the Treadmill is right next to the door, that I couldn't hear it from the outside! That was really likeable! The warranty is outstanding too with the lifetime for the motor. It's a quality machine. I recommend this for anyone.

Bought this treadmill to replace an old one. I was surprised at the ease of putting the product together. It took two hours and if you follow directions its an easy job. Treadmill arrived for in store pick-up on time and no damage. Best of all for the money I can't believe how well built and the features this treadmill has. I would recommend this treadmill!!!!!

The only thing I did not like is that it says it comes with the audio wire and it does NOT you have to purchase that seperately, I feel that for the price we pay for the machine you should include that in the package.

It is worth every penny, you will have to set aside a few hours to put it together, but the directions are easy to follow, a power screwdriver with a 4 point and Allen wrench bits, will cut the time in half.

It is extremely well made! Great, Great Quality! I was really surprised!
Only 1 thing I'm not impressed with; and that is the Heart Monitor. It definitely is not accurate! (I use a Polar Heart Monitor with on-target accuracy!)
The Upper Body Exercise Arms are a wonderful feature! It really brings up your heart rate within minutes! - You get an amazing Workout! (I have trouble with my knees, and can't run on the Treadmill!) This is WHY I bought this particular treadmill; because of the upper body workout.
This Gold Gym CrossWalk 570 Treadmill is very sturdy and solid! I am almost totally satisfied! The Control Panel is very easy to work with (User Friendly). The Panel responds to every touch and provides an excellent performance.
I have had Treadmills before, and this is by far MY FAVORITE!

I bought this treadmill hesitatingly to replace my Pro-form that had met an unfortunate demise due to Hurricane Sandy. I am happy to say that I am glad that I chose to go with the Gold's Gym model and not the Pro-form again. While it is not necessarily as quiet as my old treadmill it is definitely user friendly and easy to assemble. Definitely worth the wait and the money.

Review 18 for Gold's Gym CrossWalk 570 Treadmill

This is heavy. Took 4 men to load in my suv. Took a couple of hours to put together. Works well. The belt does make a bit of a weird noise if you don't pace yourself just right. Holds more weight than it says. Love the ipod connection. The heart rate monitor has never worked since the first day I used it. I did buy the warranty so maybe I will get someone to fix that. Like the fact that it tracks time & distance. You can automatically increase the incline.

Don't Buy This Product

The day we brought this home, it did not work correctly. After a call to the 800 number included in the quickstart guide, we were told that the console needed to be replaced and that we would have it in about 10 days...and by the way since we were already having problems with the unit, would we like to buy a two year warranty! 10 Days later, we did indeed receive the console...in a box unwrapped, with no directions how to install it. We called the 800 number again and were told they had no idea how to install it, but we would call a repairman and pay to have it installed. Needless to say, two weeks after spending $600 on this equipment, we still can't use it :(
