TV worked great for the first year. Then 2 weeks after it was out of warranty the screen went black and that was that. VIZIO was no help because I didn't buy the extended warranty. Forgive me for thinking a TV should last more than a year. And by that I mean more than 1 year and 2 weeks. Won't buy a VIZIO again.

I was in the market for a solid, quality, LCD, 40" TV. I wanted to ensure I had proper connections for peripherals and a great picture. This TV not only provided the aforementioned but additionally gave me smart apps, WIFI, and 3D for a price comparable to that of a more popular brand's standard LCD TV. My father had suggested I get a Vizio for years, but no one I knew had experience with this brand. Now I know and I'm a believer. You will be too. Hmm, I should get paid for this publicity. LOL.

I love this TV. I would put it up against any of the other more popular brands. The size was great for the size of my living room. The keypad on the flip side of the remote is somewhat difficult to use. But overall this TV has everything I was looking for. My next TV will easily be a Vizio. I may consider an LED and that would be the only difference from this purchase. But I find LCD & LED to be more of a personal preference thing.

I am so happy we bought this TV. The quality of the picture is just amazing. Everyone who sees it cannot believe the clarity and crispness. The sound quality is also excellent. A lot of flat screen TV's nowadays don't have very good sound but this one is excellent. Although we have ours hooked up to a Bose sound system we could have probably done without it. But I had already purchased one so we hooked it up. I am very pleased with this purchase. We haven't really used the 3D function yet because there are so few things in 3D. But I'm sure it will be good. We especially enjoy getting You Tube and Netflix. This was a great bargain.

Bought this TV due to fantastic reviews. Wasn't really looking for a 3D TV but for the price I couldn't resist. Very happy I decided to take a chance, I love everything about this TV. Great picture, great sound, slim and great looking, and although I wasn't sure about 3D I watched Avatar in 3D and was hooked. Thinking of buying another for the family-room while the price is still $498.00. My original thought was to try it in my bedroom for awhile and then switch with the family-room TV. Not happening. Lol

I purchased this tv as a welcome home gift for my husband, who has been hospitalized for the past 4 months. I cannot wait for him to see it! I love it and I know he will too. Ordering was a breeze, it was in the store and I picked it up 3 days later. (weather wasn't great) I was able to carry it into the house, it's only 40 lbs. Setting it up was easy. The instructions were simple, there is a quick set up booklet & once you get it going, the instructions come on screen. I have dish, a dvd player and a video player hooked into it. The color is beautiful, picture quality great, sounds really good too! I have it connected to my wireless network, which was also easy to do. Haven't done much with that yet, don't anticipate any problems playing with that, just haven't had lots of time to fool around with it. There are many features on this tv, probably more than we will need, but I'm enjoying watching it. Highly recommend it!
