Had to return it. I really like hot coffee. I like it to steam when I pour/dispense it and this needed to be microwaved. It was not even warm. So sad, because I love the idea of dispensing coffee rather than having to use a carafe. Also, it was a little hassle the parts aren't dishwasher safe either.

Review 4 for Hamilton Beach BrewStation Summit 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Model #48464, Stainless Steel
I purchased this coffee pot for myself over a year ago and use it daily, sometimes twice a day. It has a great look for any kitchen style and I have received several compliments on it from guests. The coffee taste great even after four full hours. Unlike a pot of coffee, the brewing station keeps the coffee fresh for long periods of time. The station displays a clean message when it is due for a cleaning which is a great feature. I just recently purchased another one for my mother for Mother's Day and would highly recommend this product to anyone.

So far, I am very pleased with this product. This is my third one and have loved them all. The problem is leaking after a couple of years but better than most coffee makers anyway.

Review 7 for Hamilton Beach BrewStation Summit 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Model #48464, Stainless Steel
I have used a hamilton beach brew station before and loved it, but this one was awkward to fill. It brewed fine, but would not fit under the cabinets on my counter top. I returned it and bought another model that was shorter and had the reservoir on the side instead of under the coffee bucket.

Review 8 for Hamilton Beach BrewStation Summit 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Model #48464, Stainless Steel
We travel alot and do not want to mess with coffee makers getting broke in our RV. We have an older model in the Rv. When we returned home from Arizona this winter we wanted one for our home also. Ordered it online..this product is great..never have to wash another coffee pot..or worry about breaking one. Loving my coffee in Montana

Review 9 for Hamilton Beach BrewStation Summit 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Model #48464, Stainless Steel
There are a few design quirks that I would change on this machine, like having to take out the brew basket before taking off the fill basket - messier & drippier than the 10 cup I had previously. It would be nice if the condensation on the lid didn't lurk until you lift it & then run down the back of the machine if you lift it too quickly & I still don't understand why there is an overflow that leaks down the outside back of the machine if you overfill the water, which was my nemisis on the 10 cup as well. As far as function & convenience these are great coffee makers overall & I love being able to have a machine that dispenses coffee right into my cup without using a caraf.

An improvement over older BrewStations

This is my second BrewStation. I was very pleased with my first BrewStation which prompted me to buy this one. While my first BrewStation was a great drip coffee maker, I felt it had a few design shortcoming. This BrewStation has corrected those shortcomings. In addition, there is more intelligence built into the unit. For instance, if you forget to put water into the unit, it will detect the condition, turn off the brew element and emit a warning beep. It will also notify you when it is time to clean the brewing section (with vinegar). All coffee makers require cleaning but I have found a few useful tips:
1) Rinse the carafe with cold water only. Turn the carafe over and run cold water through the opened valve.
2) Do NOT use detergents to clean the carafe. Detergents bind with the coffee oils and allow them to collect, especially in the valve.
3) In addition to cleaning the brewing section with vinegar, several times a year mix up a solution of Oxiclean and water. Allow the solution to soak in the carafe for several hours and then drain the solution through the valve. This will keep the valve flowing freely and will minimize drips.

Review 12 for Hamilton Beach BrewStation Summit 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Model #48464, Stainless Steel
I had an older model brew station. It had the clock, timer, & delayed brew. It had a two hour auto off warmer timer. The old model had a liner in the pot. It lasted 8 years. The liner started to crack on the top edge and coffee was getting in between the pot and liner. This new model does have up to a 4 hour warmer and a bold selection. It will make ice coffee which is a nice feature. However, it has no liner to help keep the coffee warmer. It does do it adequately. It is a pain to clean and to pour the water into. So much for PROGRESS! I only gave it 4 stars due to the design. I have read the reviews of it leaking and the electronics going out on it. Only time will tell how long this will last. That is why I bought the 2 year replacement plan. I had it for a 19" LCD TV. It went south and they sent a check for a replacement in 7 days. You can't beat it for the price. Over all if it holds up it will be a nice unit for the price. I will update in the future if I have any problems.

I bought my first HB Brewstation about 6-7 years ago, and I have been hooked ever since. I just love being able to press my cup up to the dispenser. I finally wore out the first one...after 3-4 years. Got a 6 cup small one, still have it...works good, but decided I needed a bigger one. Got a bigger one...and it didn't last to long. Got this one, and so far so good. My only complaint is that I use a larger insulated coffee mug....and it won't fit under the dispenser...like my old one did, so I have to use a smaller cup...and pour it into my mug, but I like it anyway...it just takes a couple minutes to brew my coffee. To be fair...one of my mugs fits....and one doesn't...so guess which one I use?

Great, except for a minor major drawback

This is a very good looking coffeemaker with a blue led, which I love. It also appears to be well made and in the short time I've had it has made very good cups of coffee. The lack of a spilling, one more thing to clean, carafe is great. I also love how easy it is to pour a cup of coffee.
My one issue, and it's not a big one except for the fact it's the only reason I bought a new coffeemaker to begin with, is the auto shutoff. It says you can select 0-4 hours, but that is misleading. Selecting 0 hours does not disable the auto shutoff as I anticipated. It, instead, shut it off immediately after the brew.

Review 15 for Hamilton Beach BrewStation Summit 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Model #48464, Stainless Steel
I have purchased over a dozen coffee makers over the years. They always developed a leak after 2-3 years, usually flooding the counter with water. This was my signal to buy a new coffee maker. I have been using a Hamilton Beach 12-cup coffee maker for some time and have been very happy with it. It would keep the coffee hot for 2 hours after brewing and I would usually have to turn it on again to re-start the 2-hr clock as I usually wanted it to stay hot for more than 2 hours. I saw this new Hamilton Beach BrewStation that would keep coffee warm for up to 4 hours, so I decided to look at it when the time came to buy a new coffee maker. But, just for grins, I decided to check to see when I bought my current coffee maker. I have been using my current Hamilton Beach coffee maker FOR OVER 8 YEARS! I was very surprised, and decided that it was long enough that I had definitely gotten my money's worth. So, I bought this new HB Brewstation. It is wonderful, and it even has a "Bold" setting which I use. I set it to keep the coffee warm for 4 hours. I've had it for a week and I am extremely happy with it. I do wish that it came with a water filter like the old one did, but with this one it is extra.

This is 2nd BrewStation I have owned. Water reservoir easy to read and like the 4 hour keep warm feature. Also like water level indicator numbers that are easy to read. The settings for 1-4 cup, bold flavor and ice coffee features are great.

Review 18 for Hamilton Beach BrewStation Summit 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Model #48464, Stainless Steel
I am so happy to have a coffee maker that I can press a button and fill my travel mug. No burnt coffee!!!! Yes it does leak a little water, but I found that the reason why it does that is because when you lift the coffee maker lid, it will leak a little down the back of the coffee maker, where the water comes out into the filter. I can live with that because everything else has been excellent with it.

Review 19 for Hamilton Beach BrewStation Summit 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Model #48464, Stainless Steel
I have had several coffee pots similar to this, however they all were filled with water from the top. This one is so much easier as the water goes below. I have only used it for regular coffee so far, but love it. No dirty pots with coffee stains to clean either.
