I was excited when I purchased this watch and was dissappointed at the fact that the thermometer reads the temperature of your wrist and not the actual temperature of your surroundings. The watch and compass do work, however, may main reason for purchasing this watch was for the thermometer.

Easy to set-up. Beautiful and all the functions are working correctly. The compass has a tolerance of 11 degrees, according to the manual, but it works well and works excelently for the application I needed.

This watch is a great value and has many features. I could live without the world clock time zone feature. Also, the Temp feature only works when you take the watch off. Otherwise, it confuses your body temperature with the room temperature.

I've looked at ten different watches with the specifications this watch comes with and most of them were in the 100 dollar range. Walmart is the lowest price you will find on this watch. In my opinion; as far as quality, the compass on this watch is better than the timex expedition. The temperature guage is not acurate unless you take the watch off, since it registers your body heat. The back lighting is outstanding on this watch and the construction is very durable. Haven't worn it long enough to see how the band holds up, although it seems pretty durable itself. This is a good attractive and durable watch for a great price.

I ordered the watch from Walmart. All the functions seemed to work except for the Compass and . The compass was the worst. at first I thought the compass worked the I tried to take a compass reading heading towards south, south west. The compass never gave me a reading from 160 degrees to 350 degrees. no matter which direction I pointed the compass in. magnetic north was not reliable.
Maybe I had a bad watch, or maybe they used metal parts that messed with the compass function. I don't knw but I had to return the watch.

The watch is good & solid. It work fine for a basic watch. The compass is OK but you can view it for 10 second at a time, otherwise you have to press the botton again to see the compus for another 10 second. The temperature is wrong it is for your arm temperature not the the room temperature, Unless you take the watch off and lay it on a surface you won't know the room temp.

This watch is great. It is waterproof in the swimming pool and in the ocean. Instructions are clear and easy to understand, and watch functions are fairly intuitive. The only confusing part was calibrating the compass, but I eventually figured it out. The watch seems durable and the resin strap is also tough. All in all this watch is a good piece of gear and a great value.

Misleading advertisement

I have recently purchased this watch mostly because it is advertised as "water resistant to 200m." This information is also prominently displayed on the back of the watch. When you read the manual that comes with the watch, it says that it is water resistant to 20 atmospheres or 20 BAR. That is the end of the good news because then there is a note stating "Do not use this watch for scuba diving or other types of diving that requires air tanks." Really?

The compass and temperature features do not work right. The temperature reflects the temperature of the watch against your wrist and not the ambient temperature. The compass is not very functional since the NSEW dial does not turn like a normal compass so you can't set your course.

Saw lots of comments about the temp. feature but it is right on if used as instructed. Programming instructions worked if read and followed. Compass works. Keeps time. Does what is suppose to do. The only thing I'm going to change is the band. Looking for a nice stainless steel clasp to put on it.

I've owned this watch for about 3 weeks now. It's not heavy on my wrist due to the rubber band. I would perfer a metal band but that wasn't a option. The compass function works very well. The temperature function has it's weaknesses due to body temperture causing it be a little off. First, I suggest you adjust the tempture to read correctly with the watch being on your wrist. Second, I suggest adjusting the temperature to the environment you want it to read correctly in. What I mean by that is if you are out side a lot, then adjust it when you are outside for at least 20 minutes. If you are inside a lot then adjust it to read correctly in that environment. It seems to read a little off when it's in the oposite environment you adjusted it in. Other than that it's a great watch.
