Evenflo Evenflo - Expansion Swing Wide Gate
The Evenflo Expansion Swing Gate makes your home a safe place for babies. By using this wide opening baby gate, you can ensure that your child does not get out of an area. This gate can be used to restrict access to stairways or other risky places in and around your house. It is an expandable door that can be used for standard openings or for a wide opening as well. This wood baby gate featuring plastic rails can be expanded from 24-inch to 60-inch with simple adjustments. The height goes from 29 inches to 32 inches depending on how wide you open the gate. This Evenflo safety gate has a swing style opening with a latch, which can be undone with just one hand. Convenient for parents and simple to set up, this baby safety gate is a dependable precautionary measure.

I have 2 evenflo expansion gates that I use in our home to keep the Yorkies from entering the other rooms & when we leave we lock them into the large utility room, knowing they will not hurt themselves or destroy anything....I am sure they would also work on children however we do not have any little ones just our Yorkies.

I needed a narrow gate to block the doorway where I keep my cats (5) food, water, litter, etc., and this gate is perfect! I looked all over for one this size and a pet store manager suggested I look on-line so I checked a few sites and finally found it at Walmart! I couldn't be happier! I'm sure it would be perfect for kids too!!

Love this gate. Needed one for a wide pass through between rooms. We had bought a much pricier one which was promptly returned because it was adult proof and impossible to open. This one is super simple to install and to open and close. I also wanted something that my 4 year old could handle opening himself but keeps his younger siblings safe. Highly recommend.

I purchased this gate for my porch so my dog (pit bull) won't escape, and it is performing very well. It was very easy to install, only needed to measure and drill 4 holes. It is quite sturdy and works well for a 53" opening. I like it because it can swing both ways or expand/retract and it is easy to open with one hand as advertised.

The wood slats this gate is made of are much more solid and strong than I expected. I had a gate years ago that opened and closed accordian-style, like I thought this one would. This one will stay the same size and only swing open. I would have preferred the previous style again, but haven't been able to find one. Considering what is available otherwise, I believe I will be very satisfied with this one, although I have hardly used it yet to be sure.

Bought this in 2009 when we first bought our house so that my little ones wouldnt go tumbling down the stairs. Its hard for little hands to open, and has been mounted in the same position since then and is still there. I DID have to replace the eyelet screws because they came out of the wall but other than that one dollar item this gate is awesome. I will be buying another one for the bottom of the stairs for our newest little one so he will stop climbing!

To hold the gate ine place are four eye screws. Hard to install and not secure in drywall even when installed as instructed. I then used drywall anchors but that didn't work either. Wish we kept the box so I could take it back!

We use it to keep our dogs in check and it works great. Easily extended for a wide doorway. You do have to screw a total of 2 eye hooks on each wall. Takes minutes to install. Worth the price.

I purchased this for animal containment. For many people, this item might work just fine, but when we looked at the latching mechanism and realized that repeated opening and closing would wear it out quickly, I decided to return the gate and order a more substantial metal one. I don't think this item is totally worthless; it just didn't meet my particular needs.

I have a almost one year old, its spanning a 52" area, blocking off the bathroom and laundry room. I am 5'8" and i can step easily over this, which is great because the less my little one sees me open it, the longer it will take for her to figure it out.
Pros: it comes with longer than expected hooks for in the wall
Flexible, which is great if little one falls against it because it moves a little bit
Easy to install, took me about 5 minutes, follow instructions, and measur accurately!
