Review 1 for Cycle Force Rax Deluxe 2-Bike Spare Tire Car Rack

The photo of this product is not the product I received. The cradle arms on mine are bent and about one foot apart. The installation instructions are sorely lacking. I am still waiting on the manufacturer to get back to me about some extra straps that are on the rack but not shown in the instructions. I did manage to get it on my Rav4 but now I need to figure out how to put my bike on it. If I had a man's bike I sure it would be easy, but women's bike is a big question mark for me.

I have a RV with a rear spare tire. This product worked as I expected and have no complaints. The price was right and it is easy to use. Make sure to adjust the product to the size tire being used, this requires you to disassemble the product and reassemble. Read the instructions. I used a bunge cord on each side to stabilize.

Affordable and functional.

I bought this for a Suzuki Grand Vitara since it has the tire at the rear door. I picked it up from Walmart, got it home and installed it in minutes. Then, I loaded up my two bikes and headed out to the beach bike trail.
The rack is sturdy and once all tie downs area adjusted it does not move around. When not being used the rack can be easily folded down or removed.
I would recommend this rack to anyone that has a vehicle with a tire at the rear door of their SUV.

Poorly designed sprockets

Was very difficult to rotate into various positions. Sprockets which were supposed to stay tight, not necessarily attached to the frame, would instead separate from the frame and stick to the partner sprocket. Separating them involved prying them apart with small screwdriver. This happened each time I checked a new position. Don't know if this would be typical for all of them, or just this unit.
This device also may not work well on all rear tire assemblies. I would have had to remove some of the body molding around the rear tire in order for this to fit on my RAV4. It could be done but as soon as one of the clips snapped I decided between the two issues, this device would not be worth the trouble, so I returned it.
Overall, the unit seemed sturdy enough for it's intended purpose, just difficult to use.
