I am currently returning my second vizio not so smart tv. The first one I got was perfect for two weeks and then the sound went out. So I exchanged it thinking maybe it was just a glitch. The one I have now has no app capabilities. The toolbar show up but none of them work! So I continued to watch cable and then the sound went out. Don't waste your money or time!

Amazing features for a low price

I bought this TV for my bedroom where I needed to wall mount it. The unit is very light, so installation was very easy.
Picture quality is very good and the sound, while nothing special, is enough for a bedroom.
The smart features i.e. internet connectivity with special buttons on the remote for Netflix, amazon etc. are really cool, but the wireless internet connection seems to be a bit flaky.
In my bedroom my iPad gets perfect connection, but the TV loses internet every now and then.
In my opinion this is an excellent choice at this price point. Highly recommended.

I picked this tv mostly for the features. I've had it for a few weeks. I gave it a 3 for pic quality because there is a glare. but with proper shading thats fine. The tv was lighter than i thought. The sound is average but the WIFI works really good the value was great. got mine for 310. the apps are even better and the remote is easy to understand. MY 3 yr old is getting the hang of it.

One complaint: The instructions do not tell you while you are setting up the tv that you have to go to the "TV" setting and scan channels until the scan hits 100% to get a cable signal. With older tv's you had to set the t.v. channel on channel 3. With this tv, you have to do a scan under the t.v. option. We had to call Vizio to get that information. Since I wasnt getting a cable signal, I was ready to box it up and take it back. Other than the set up, it is a wonderful t.v. I love being able to stream from Netflix without having to hook up another device or HDMI cord. Under $300 and worth much more.

I purchased this "smart" TV for my Mom and it was a breeze to set up and connect to Netflix. In fact, I think it was easier to operate than some microwaves I've used!! Great quality at a reasonable price.

Had trouble that got fixed

When it came in the remote control did not work unless we held it in just the right angle. I called Vizio and they sent a new remote but that was not the problem. So they sent a repair person out very quickly and he found that the small receiver part in the TV was not in the correct place when it was put together [quick fix]. The sound is not that good but that could be because it is inside a cabinet. I just send the sound through my stereo and that works great.

I DID A LOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE PURCHASING. THIS TV HAD ALL THE FEATURES I WAS LOOKLING FOR. REVIEWS WERE GREAT AND THIS MODEL LIVES UP TO AND EXCEEDS MY EXPECTATIONS. AFTER TRYING TWO STREAMING DEVICES FOR MY 5 YEAR OLD TV AND HAVING MANY FRUSTRATIONS WHEN THEY DID NOT WORK & HAD TO RETURN I DECIDED TO MAKE A TV PURCHASE THAT HAD THE TECHNOLOGY BUILT-IN, MY OLD TV WAS STILL WORKING WITH NO PROBLEMS BUT I WANTED TO BE ABLE TO TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF MY NETFLIX MEMBERSHIP. I USED SHIP TO STORE AND EVEN THOUGH MY CAR HAS A SMALL TRUNK, THE B0X FIT NICELY. THE SLIM FRAME GIVES MORE PICTURE AREA AND SMALLER BOX THAT I WAS ABLE TO LIFT WITHOUT A PROBLEM. SET UP TOOK A MATTER OF MINUTES & IT LIVES UP TO THE "SMART TV" LABLE. SOON I WAS STREAMING NETFLIX MOVIES IN LED HD. PICTURE IS AWESOME AND THE LOW PRICE IS STILL UNBELIEVABLE. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!!

The tv does a lot of cool things. My only complaint is that the remote doesn't always work. Even with new batteries I sometimes have to press down on the remote extremely hard.

I purchased this tv for an extra room and connected it to a VCR player I have, so that I can play my old VHS movies that I have recorded. The picture, sound and features are everything that I wanted and it works just perfect. I have not owned a Vizio before, buy a close friend of mine has two and loves the brand. I sure am happy with the product and would highly recommend it. Easy set up as well.
