The RCA Digital Flat Amplified Antenna offers excellent signal reception of HDTV programs. With its unique patented design, you can receive signals from 360-degrees without the need of any manual adjustments. The VHF dipoles can be adjusted up to 39-inches so that signal reception is improved for channels 2-13. For channels 14-69, the UHF loop can adjusted to maintain consistent performance. This RCA indoor HDTV antenna improves the response by amplifying weak signals for better reception of local channels.

The product itself was easy. The part that took a while was figuring out where on the tv to switch the setting from cable to air! When I got it all situated, I got all kinds of channels. I wish I had this during the Olympics! I'm so happy I was thinking of buying one for a different tv. It even tells me with each channel change the network and show! The only thing to know when buying it is your tv has to be cable ready. My living room tv doesnt have a coax connection. I am 17 to 20 miles from the major local networks.

I originally bought a "Clear Cast" antenna for around $50.00 that wouldn't bring in the channels very good. The signal kept breaking up or would get "no signal". I thought I needed an antenna that had a selector knob for fine tuning and saw this one and read the reviews. Boy was I glad I found this one. Hooked it up and it worked great from the start. When occasionally the picture breaks up I turn the nob one or two clicks and the picture is restored. I now have good reception and a way to adjust the antenna to perfect the picture. And the price was great too.

Very good performance for an indoor antenna

This antenna does a great job for the price and for an indoor. Got 22 channels on the Rochester, MI area (NE of metro Detroit). Stations are located between 20 to 30 miles away. This is not an outdoor over the roof antenna so would not be fare to expect the same performance. However by knowing the location of the stations, placing the antenna on my second floor, by using the amplifier and by using the signal meter on the tv and converter to adjust the orientation, I was able to get the most out of it. I did bougth a couple more expensive indoor antennas to compare but this one performed better. I am taking the more expensive one back to the store. The only draw back is that this is not a pretty antenna so you might just want to set it up on another room and supply the signal from to the other tvs from there. Mine is setup on my second floor by an old tvbut supplies the signal to my nice looking tv on the family room.

I bought the antenna to use in my camping tralier. I could not get any channels. However we were at least 40 miles or more from the nearest TV station. I do not know if the cause was the metal in the tralier or just the distance. It MAY work great closer to a station.

When I first plugged this in, I was astounded at how many broadcast channels there were here in the Bay Area. It easily pulled in 40, perfectly.
That was 5 weeks ago.
Now I'm lucky if it gets 3 of the 'big 5' - ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox & PBS. All these have strong signals here, but it's certain that at least 2 of them will not come in, sometimes 3 -- but usually with intensive 'fiddling' with the antenna, I can get the 3rd, sometimes the 4th, but never all five anymore. And, probably 10-12 of the other channels have 'disappeared' as well.
I don't understand this behaviour, or how a passive electronic item like this can "burn out".
If someone out there can advise on this situation, I'm eternally grateful.

I'm probably one of the last of the rabbit ear users. I bought it for my living room tv, which has no cable. It has excellent range and now picking up all the FREE channels I used to get before cable took over. I'll be buying another one for my bedroom tv (no cable there either).

My first experience with an antenna, as I don't have cable or satellite. Just wanted to get local channels for the news and it has been an easy to install piece of equipment and nice looking as well. Could use more instructions on how to tune in the channels.

This antenna is very good and a great value. As other reviewers have stated, no reason to spend more money. I receive all hd broadcast channels in my area from towers that are all in excess of 12 miles, and, surprisingly from one tower that is in excess of 30 miles (I was not expecting to receive the distant channel and still wonder how this is possible).

Picked this Antenna up expecting to get all my locals with cable clarity. Extremely easy to hook-up - If you have a digital tv and tuner. If not you will need a Digital to analog converter. Once hooked up using the quick install guide I scanned for channel's expecting to get six of them - but ended up with 16. No misprint Sixteen. I live in Springfield, Il. area and picking up channels 50 miles away in Decatur,Il. and 90 miles away in Champaign, Il. crystal clear. Remember I'm in the flat lands with nothing but cornfields. My original scan I had the ears fully extended but found I got better reception with the ears halfway extended as pictured above. The only issue I had was - I was hooking up to an old anolog tv so I had to connect the antenna to a Digital to analog converter. I will take the converter back and just go get a new tv with Digital tuner and eliminate the wires. Then pick up a Magnavox digital HDD and HDV box and I can say good by to the extra $73 monthly I'm paying for Comcast. I also plan on buying a smartbox Blue ray player so I can stream Netflicks, Hulu, ect. But all in all this antenna delivers more than I expected.
