I've been using this camera for a little over a week and have shot about 200 photos and about 15 minutes of video in that time. It shoots well in all light, is quick to work with a flash (something that's frustrated me with my old Nikon point-and-shoot), comes with software that makes in unbelievably easy to upload photos and videos to youtube, facebook and Kodak Gallery, has a lot of pre-set "scenes" that make it easy to get the right settings so your pictures come out well in all types of light and movement situations, it does particularly well with closeup still-life type photos (especially handy for eBay listings and the like), and the camera comes with a rechargeable battery, similar to a phone battery, that recharges every time you plug your camera into your computer to download pictures -- goodbye AAs! The downsides are that it's an extra couple of steps to get to the scene settings and the video option (so you can't get there super fast to catch a picture that happens in an instant), the sound/maximum volume on the video setting leaves something to be desired, and it doesn't do a particularly great job at fast-action photos on regular settings -- you really need to switch to the proper scene setting, which takes time.
Overall, a great camera for the price.

I bought this camera a few months ago, and it was absolutely wonderful! I was surprised at how clear the pictures came out. It does have a small problem where on occasions, about once a week, would freeze on start-up, and you'd have to pop out the battery and pop it back in before it would work. I never had any other problem with the camera, except for the occasion freezing when taking a picture in very low light, practically no light; sometimes the camera would freeze for a moment, but the the picture would eventually be taken.
I've owned a few cameras, Samsungs, and other Kodaks, and this one was by far my favorite.
The video wasn't the best, especially in low light, but over-all, this camera is great!~

I've had this camera a while now and I love it. I've read all the reviews and I must say I disagree with most of the negative ones. One thing I always recommend is that you register your purchase with Kodak at Kodak.com. Occasionally there are firmware or software upgrades to fix a problem that's occurred. Check it out. You'll be fine.

I recommend this camera for the general user. I found this camera to be exactly what I paid for and maybe a bit more. Pros - It takes great pictures, great clarity. It is absolutely user friendly. Even my husband who is not a big electronic buff, figured it out within minutes and can set and change his options with no problem. The big LCD screen is great. I have had no problems with this camera at all. I paid $140 for mine and got what I expected with a tad bit more. Cons - the only con i can think of is that the buttons are a lil bit small if you have big fingers. Also it is definately not for kids, I would make sure you store it in a case and not loose in your purse. It is small and slim and maybe a lil delicate. All in all I would recommend this for the casual photographer and for those who do not like to fuss about their picture taking.

I bought this camera Site-To-Store to replace my ollllllllllld Nikon L2 (very old!). It was cheap and small and coming with the HD recording was a plus. I also bought it for the fact that the time to recharge the flash was minimum (and the Nikon L2 takes like 5 seconds!). When the camera arrived I was impressed with the looks and the size of it. But that's all. I know a lot about electronics, so I quicky set up the camera for my conditions. I only got very blurry pictures, so I thought, Ok, let's try their automatic setting, better pictures, but we still got some blurry ones, even on a tripod! So I thought, ok I bought this camera more for the recording feature anyways, well, when you are recording and use the zoom, and then you upload the video to your computer, you can hear on the video the zzzzzzzzzzzmmmm from zooming in or out, a problem that I've never had with my old Nikon. I returned the camera 2 days after picking it up at Walmart and bought a Camcorder instead!

I bought this camera looking at the wonderful reviews in this website, but unfortunately it does not live up to the expectations. I had a 3MP camera before and it took better pictures than this one. Close ups were ok, but outdoor pictures were very bad. Night mode pictures were the worst.
I am not new to using digital cameras, and have been very successful with my previous camera. The image stabilization feature on this camera does not work at all. It is not humanly possible to take pictures with this camera without a blur. My previous camera "without" image stabilization did a better job than this one.

I ordered this after doing extensive research on Consumer Reports. This camera rated very well and I'm happy with the camera so far--it's really small and has a large screen. I ended up buying this one over a Canon I was interested in because, #1 it was cheaper and, #2 it has HD video. I don't even need to bring my video camera anywhere because this thing records in HD and the video is awesome! The menus are pretty easy to use and you can use the camera in a very simple point and shoot "smart capture" mode or adjust any of the many settings if you wish. The only things I can see that might be a drawback is that the flash seems a little weak and I don't intend to use any of the Kodak Easyshare software, so there are a few unneeded buttons and menus. We also liked the Kodak because we have another Kodak 3 mp camera that we've had for about 5 years that has been simple to use and trouble-free. The charging is a little funky--you either plug it in to your computer via USB or use that same cable to plug into a wall socket adapter. The plug doesn't fold down so I can't carry it in my small camera bag. I wish it had a small battery charger like my old Ricoh, but at least it has a long-life lithium battery and doesn't need to be charged very often.

This is an excellent camera for the price and quality. It is so easy to use and understand the controls. I took a great photo directly after unpackaging it - before even reading the directions. I have a Kodak AIO printer and the photos are clear, crisp and beautiful. I take photos of my flowers, hummingbirds and silly dogs - great shots of the landscape as well as closeup. You gotta BUY this camera!

I bought this camera because my old Kodak kicked the bucket on the fourth. I really love the pictures this camera takes. I have only had the camera for a few weeks and it is a little tricky to use and to get to the different setting there are a lot of screen changings to go through. So if you are not a patient person this camera isn't for you. So far i have figured out the basics and am learning more everyday. I am keeping the camera and hope to get a lot of usage out of it.

I just got this camera (in the light purple color) last year for Christmas, and I am already having problems with it! When I turn it on, it wont let me take a picture for like a minute, or sometimes longer, so I am missing very special moments. Also, some of my pictures say "unrecognizable file", that is VERY irritating, my sister in law recently graduated high school, and I recorded a video of her walking across the stage, and I cannot view it or copy it, because it says "unrecognizable file". Thats very frustrating and upsetting, you cant recapture those moments! I have not dropped this camera even once, and I have so many problems, I wouldnt reccomend this item to anyone, especially someone who loves taking pictures, especially if you have special moments you want to capture.

I have had my camera for a few weeks and I love it. Takes great pictures and is simple to use. Fits very easily into your pocket or bag. Lightweight, but solid camera. I like the smart capture mode, but when you turn the camera off and then on again it automatically defaults to the smart capture mode. Can be a little annoying, but I can live with it.

A great little outfit that is super simple to use. Comes with a big LCD screen and is really and truly fully automatic. Point and shoot as was intended for all those out there that just want to savor some memories and get on with it. Very easy to use. The charger is a bit funky but not hard to use. Takes fantastic, clear and rich photos with those 10 mega pixel version we bought.

I bought this camera to take pictures on my upcoming vacation. When I first opende the box, the camera was ready to go and easy to use. Its great for to just point and shoot but there are twenty plus settings for more advanced users. Rechargeable battery is great and you can charge it both on the computer and in a wall outlet. Kodak software was also easy to set up and use. Also, it shipped to my house very quickly, one day before the estimated delivery date. I definetly recommend it to everybody!

We have read many good reviews of the product and decided to give it a try. We were interested in taking pictures of our children at sport activities. The stabilization feature was expected to take care of smothered picture the old camera would do. What didn't occur to us is that this feature would work only for stable pictures, like portrait or picture of a table. Once you choose to take a picture of sport event or moving object, the camera would suggest to use the tripod instead, because the stabilization feature does not work for these types of pictures. Also, the flash is not strong enough for the inside pictures with a big hall, like gymnasium. Overall design is nice, but we were misled by advertising and reviews of other people.
