So far I have had this product for almost 2 months, and it is pretty much everything that I wanted! If you are listening to music or watching multiple DVD's it is pretty awesome! A little pricey but still worth the money so far! I can't say much about the longevity of the system itself for I have only had it for 2 months or so, but it has done me very well. It does a great job of recreating surround sound on things that are not originally Dolby sensitive. On things that are Dolby 5.1 or any style of surround, it will not let you down as far as sound goes. I was worried about the fact that the speakers were so small and the sub woofer was its own separate entity, but everything that I have used this system for is great! It will even rattle your walls! I love Samsung products on a general and this only makes me more enthused about them!!!
The "Wireless," speakers are not 100% wireless. There is a primary box that has to be plugged in first, and then the rear speakers connect into that. Still, the box has enough wireless power so that you could hide it behind a piece of furniture and have your speakers sticking out from behind something else. If you need a long range of speaker wire for your rear surround, it is no problem! Just add your own without having to buy any special connectors (wire only).
If you are looking at connecting more than one item into it then I would suggest buying a a/v multitap. I can work with my DVD's, CD's, PS2, Nintendo 64, Game Cube, and VCR (I know, it's ancient). I don't have a TV with HDMI inputs, yet, but I am very much looking forward to it so I can see what this DVD player can really do!!! So far I give this product an overall 5 star rating!
