It is very heavy so takes two people to handle and put together. My husband and I took our time, read directions first then followed them step by step. It went together easily. It took us about 3 hrs to put it together but we did not rush. We were careful to follow the directions and make sure before we actually committed to that step. The armoire looks great in our living room and I have an entertainment center where I can shut the door on the TV so it is not the focal point of the room....a fung shei issue. It is well worth the price and looks great. I would definitely recommend it.

I HATE having a television as a main focal point in my livingroom. This cabinet is the perfect answer. I can close it up when we are not watching any videos (which is most of the time), and it looks like a great piece of furniture, with my added decorations on top. Great color and quality.
It definitely takes two people to put it together. It is quite heavy--but very sturdy. For the price it can't be beat.

This piece is huge and heavy and gorgeous. It really gives the room an expensive feel at a comfortable price. Do not let the size intimidate the instructions are remarkably clear and it was a breeze to put together. The only time I needed help was to have someone hold the doors while I screwed them on. LOVE IT!

I really wanted this product because from the picture it looks great, solid and sturdy. Overall I'm pleased and it took me about 5 hours to put together only to realize i put the top on wrong. THANK YOU SAUDER for sending me a FREE top! Its a perfect peice for my small condo. Took me a while to figure out how to perfectly line up the doors *hint* take some time to play around with the bracket. youll figure out maybe one door has to come "out" more while the other my need the opposite. overall I'm happy, it looks great. I still wanted an actual heavy wood piece though

Love this piece of furniture! Very good value. Looks like very nice furniture. It's big and heavy... weighs 220 lbs in the box... but so well worth it. Looks like a nice dark brown finish.. and it does NOT look like "put together furniture"! Took several hours to put together, but directions are simple and easy. It's a quality piece. We measured the inside "hole" for the TV (39") and then went TV shopping. We ended up with a Sony 40" (diagonal) that fits perfectly. You need to measure the TVs in the store... as the 42" and 40" vary widely in how wide they are. I'm very pleased with it. We got it shipped to store, and it was a lot quicker than expected.

I was wondering if my 42" TV that measures 40.5" wide would fit into this armoire? I know the dimensions say a 39" wide TV, but I was wondering if another 1.5" will fit in there.

this is a beautifully constructed antique aged cabinet...i looked for along time b/f purchasing...i wanted something that matched my sofa but also looked expensive but that wasn't to large for my needs...the knobby feet on the front really makes this cabinet pop with character...this fit the bill...step by step instructions are provided and are very easy but you must take the time to review b/f jumping into assembly...this project will take all day especially if your doing it alone so make a hot pot of coffee, read and take your time...this is worth taking the time to do and in the end you'll be happy you did...i assembled this piece by myself although i wouldn't recommend it as you have to raise the pieces to attach them...thank goodness for my having lots of pillows and cardboard boxes to suffice this problem...also, lifting it alone i would not advise b/c it's very heavy...but the "i can do it myself mindset" and the person that i am took charge and kicked in!! just a warning..."It's Heavy"...i give it a 4 b/c Walmart only offers curbside and I live in an apt on the second floor...this should change for what you are spending...also, make sure you attach all doors b/c the cabinet sides wobble...i checked this by gently moving it side to side to test the strength accuracy of the cabinet...it moves and for such a heavy piece of furniture it should not wobble like that...so be sure to attach the doors...this product came well wrapped and contained all parts needed for assembly and i got it in two weeks...way to go Walmart!!

Nice looking for piece of furniture for the price! Took my husband and I about an hour to assemble and we had no trouble. My only negative comment is, the doors on the armoire need to slide inside. I purchased two 3 shelf libraries to go with this and I put it in the corner and in order to have all the pieces close together I can't open and close the pretty doors, which is the whole reason I bought this. All in all I am keeping it since the price was right.

It concerned me when it was delivered by a freight company, but it's just that heavy. DO NOT try to move it or have it delivered to the store for pick up. My husband and I had it put together in about four hours (from inventory to adding the final knob). It is really nice looking once it's together. We have other mahogany (espresso finish) furniture, so it matches nicely.

This is a quality piece of furniture for a great price. The finish is more of a deep chocolate rather than black but beautifully finished. Be prepared to assemble, but the instructions are very well written and complete. Definitely separate the many different sizes of screws that are supplied.....the sizes are close and it will not assemble properly if you utilize the wrong size in the wrong place!

We didnt put the top doors on due to a space issue but I love it just the same. My husband HAD to have a larger tv. We bought a sony tv it has the flat screen but is still a box tv. Its 36 inches and this looks like it was built to hold our tv. And I have already got so many compliments on it as well.

We bought this item and had it shipped using the Site to Store method. We received it in about 2 weeks. It is absolutely perfect! I love country furniture and distressed pieces. This armoir is beautiful and looks great in my living room. It took about 2 1/2 hours for us to put it together, and it is VERY heavy. It has a lot of room for DVD players and DVDs and other things. The only thing that is disappointing to me is that one of the doors won't stay open. It has the look of real wood and looks much more expensive than it is. A real value for a beautiful piece of furniture!

As some others wrote it did take a while to put together and the instructions were not the best in the world but with patience it can be done with minimal problems. I had some things left over but seems like I always do. After it was put together and placed in the room it is nice furniture. Looks more expensive than it is. To get the size I needed it was going to cost a minimum of $1000 but that was a wood piece. This armoire will go with about any decor. It is a very heavy piece also so you will need help moving it around. All in all very please with the furniture.
