Am now encouraged to brush my teeth more often, and floss. Everything my hygienist recommends! Disappointed though that I have yet to find replacement heads on-line. This brush is excellent in making my mouth feel clean.

Great tooth brush. Easy to use and the timer is just right to keep your teeth healthy and clean. The charger works great. I don't leave it plugged in all the time; only once a week to charge up the brush.

Great value including two extra replaceable heads. Takes a while getting used to the vibrations against teeth. Should be used for the suggested two minutes. Have to be careful not to touch on/off button while using. Recharge stand does not require a plug in just place in stand to recharge.Charge lasts for several days. Great while traveling without the stand.

I have been using the Spin brush product for the past couple of years, believing it was doing an adequate job. On my last dental cleaning visit, instead of the cleaning, I had to have the deep clean procedure done because of the plaque build-up. After research, I decided to try this Phillips and am so happy with the results. My gum condition has improved as well as my cleaning trips to the dentist resulting in significant reduction of plaque. My dental hygienist was impressed with the results as I am. It costs more that other dental products, but is well worth the cost in the long run.

How can you make an excellent product and miss completely on ease of daily maintenance? With the Philips name comes the assurance that thoughtful engineers scrubbed every conceivable angle so as to make this product practically perfect. Not in this case. The easy-to-hold design comes with a continuous seam that encases the batteries and a screw top bezel (for the brush), both of which attract, house and cultivate goo. If you want clean teeth and healthy gums, it's not a far stretch to think that you might also want a clean machine and charging base to boot. But those infernal seams grab whatever you call saliva and whisked toothpaste and give it refuse inside your pristine white machine. If you're not careful, the mold, mildew and enzymes will form into some little beastie that may just wake you from a sound sleep, demanding that you BRUSH and brush NOW! While the brush works well and the price was unbelievable...the GOO has got to go! Better to save your pennies and upgrade to the $100+ level (no goo monster goes there).

My friend who goes to dentist on regular basis with very bad teeth problems, and was recommended Sonicare and told her that this is THE ONLY electric toothbrush that will not damage your gum. Her gingivitis was reversed. I've used it for few weeks, and my plaque and tea stain was dramatically reduced.

I love the fact that this toothbrush has a full sized head. Strong motor, and it turns off automatically, telling you how long you should brush for. I just hate that Im always cleaning toothpaste splatter off my mirror. Eh, oh well! lol

This is a great toothbrush! I replaced my dead SoniCare Advance with this product. I am extremely grateful to WalMart, because other online stores are refusing to mail electronic devices to APO addresses. I could not find any local store that sells this product, so without WalMart, I would totally be without a SoniCare toothbrush.

I didn't buy this product at Walmart, but it is terrible. The part where the brush head and the handle connect there is a gap where gunk collects and looks disgusting. Other models are probably okay but steer clear of this one.

Great for getting teeth clean; however, this is the second time in ten years that I've had to toss an otherwise good Sonicare toothbrush just because the NiCd battery wore out. There are other products that use NiCd batteries, that allow you to just replace the battery without having to purchase a whole new instrument.
As a physician, I've had the same Welch Allen ophthalmoscope since 1971. When the battery won't keep a charge, I just replace the rechargable battery, not the whole instrument! A simple removable base would allow replacement of the battery without purchasing a new unit complete with brushes and charger.
It is also annoying when you have to replace the Sonicare and find that the extra brushes that you've stocked do not fit the "new and improved" model.

I wanted a Sonicare toothbrush with the Quadpacer feature. The 5300 model does not have the Quadpacer feature that it is advertised to have. I contacted Sonicare who agreed that the advertisment is in error. They sent me a free model HX 5710 replacement with the quadpacer feature. They provided a free return shipping label for the 5300.
