VTech V.Smile V-Motion System

My 4yr old daughter (3 at the time) recieved this as a Christmas gift in 2008. She had been begging for it the past few months and was so excited to play it! She was playing it all the time and getting very good at it. She was proud to be playing video games like a "big girl" and learning her letters/numbers even quicker. But one day after 4mos of use it just stopped working. I went to the site and found ways to reset it, I followed the directions and it went back to working perfect. My daughter was elated for it to be working again. But then not two weeks later it stopped working again. I tried resetting it multiple times but still nothing. My daughter is extremly sad and I hate that she has lost a toy that she so loved. I to will be getting her a leapster now since my nephew has one and has NO problems with it. Coincidentally my nephews vsmile stopped working one day for no reason as well. NOT worth the money and aggravation.

We bought this gaming system for our 3 yr old for Christmas this past year, he LOVED it! It was fun for him, and he learned at the same time. Problem is, as from what I see, the same problem for others; it just stopped working. He played it fine yesterday and it just wont turn on today(we have the ac adaptor) even with new batteries in the hopes of the ac adaptor not working, it still wont turn on. Less than 2 mths use? My son is crushed and I'm not happy!! V Tech will be hearing from me!

My husband and I bought it for our 2 yr old son for Christmas '08. He loves it and plays with it everyday, and everyday he learns more. After a few days of having it we went to buy the adapter because the game was always on and drained bateries like nothing. A word of advice about the adapter though, don't leave it plugged in when not in use. We did that and had to return the systen because it seemed to have fried. Unfort, everywhere is sold out of it and we haven't gotten a new one yet. But our son asks for it everyday and misses playing it. I still recommend the product, but buy the adapter and don't leave it plugged when not in use.

My 3 and a half year old son asked for this for about 2 months. I decided to get this for him for Christmas and I wasn't impressed and neither was he. The graphics are awful, probably worse than the first nintendo, and it doesn't keep his attention at all. I took it back and bought him the Leapster 2 and he loves it!!! he seriously will not put it down. I advise other mothers now to buy the Leapfrog products, they are better quality and seem to hold their interest longer.

I purchased this product for my Grandson and was very disappointed with it. I chose to give him his own gaming system, but after he used it and I saw the poor quality of the graphics, I wished I had given him Wii games instead of purchasing this system.

My son got this for Christmas he will be 3 at end of January it is still a little above his head but it works great so far. My son likes the wonderpets game the best Thomas is a little boring.

I really do not like the fact that the system is battery-operated. you can buy the AC adapter so that you can plug it in, but it comes separately (which is just stupid). It's not clear when you buy it that you have to have a separate adapter.

I bought this for for my 4 yr. old grandson for christmas. He often gets upset because his dad's PS2 was to advanced for him and he couldn't play the games. He caught on quickly and it also helps him learn his numbers, letters, and spelling. He loves moving with it. Now his little brother is trying to join in on the fun.
