The elegant and classy alder oak and black finish computer desk has a convenient hutch to place your computer and other equipment. this desk is exactly as pictured. it is VERY sturdy! it fits my 19 in moniter in the cubby & still has room for another 3 in's or so. i ordered on 5/7/09 & received site to store on 5/22/09. box was extremely heavy so you will need help to pick it up! i highly recommend a power drill when putting together. i dont have one, therefore my hand was sore from all turning! i am 22 yr old girl, and i was able to put it together by myself. it took me 3 hours to put together (mainly bcz of having to use a manual screwdriver) the directions were simple & pieces clearly labeled.
the desk looks very nice & has plenty of shelves for storage. the only thing i wish it had was a drawer over the CPU area.
this is a very nice, sturdy, roomy desk. you cant beat the price for this nice of a desk. i definately recommend to buy!
actual measurements are: desk top is 29 in from floor & 41 in from side to side & 24 in from front to back. top of hutch stands 53 in high.

I bought this so I could put my chair under the desk. what I have now my chair just set in front of my desk. it matches my other cart I have beside it.vrery happy with it. my computer screen also fits in the space. well worth the money.

quality is not great. The black finish on top is already starting to wear down and flake off after 2 weeks of little use. It is a great buy and if it is for a child I would recommend it (mostly because I wouldn't be overly upset if it got drawn on or scratched up) but I wouldn't recommend this desk to an adult wanting a nice quality desk.

i bought this desk to get rid of a huge and heavy one. it was quite a hassle to set up so my dad did it for me. the screw that holds the writing area to the legs broke, (but they sell them at the hardware store) (ace hardware). it fits my 20 inch monitor as well as my printer! love this desk!

I did NOT open the box or assemble this desk because the dimensions were listed wrong on the websight. The width and height are reversed which means this desk is 40.75 inches long and 23.75 inches wide and 53.25 inches high. It is not what I wanted or ordered. It will be returned as soon as I can figure out how to lift it. It is very heavy in the 2 boxes it came in.

It is a great product for a great price. It is great for professional use at home and non-professional use. If you are a teacher, lawyer, Dr or any other professional you may love this! Also, if you just need for regular home use; it great as well. I use it for both for home use and for my teacher duties as well. I really lucked up buying this item!

what you pay for. I know this but it's not until I receive something so crummy that I remember it. While not difficult to put together, it's so flimsy I'd be hesitant to put an actual monitor on it. Only after I reinforced it with T-brackets do I think it's safe enough to throw some books on the shelves. Save your money and buy a real desk.

This desk is made up of cheap material that resembles wood from outside, but inside is as soft as paper. A chip broke off as soon as I tried to erect it, and I could never install the keyboard rack for the same reason due to one stand being far away from the other in addition to the desk being unstable.
I will not recommend this to a friend.

This computer desk is perfect for what I needed. Holds the books I need and use pretty much every day. Love the adjustable shelf, I put smaller accessories on that one. My monitor is 18 & 1/2" widescreen and fits really good with about an inch and a 1/2 left on each side. The top self, I used the top for the little what-nots and keepsakes. Keep in mind the top self may not hold a printer since it's only about 9 & 1/2 wide. My printers all ready had a place & I didn't need the top shelf for that when I ordered it. My nephew put it together for me with very little help from me. Just keep this in mind, if you are limited to what you can do, get help.
