everything was good about this...i guess walmart finally fixed there packaging because mine was well packed...the hole for the monitor however will barely fit a 22" wide screen

Very Nice Desk,

First of all, this desk does not take no 2-4 hours to put together. I put it together, by myself, in less than 1.5 hours. The only reason it took that long is because I didn't have a power screwdriver and had to do everything by hand. The desk is study and very nice. Yes, there were a few chipped corners, but nothing a black marker couldn't fix!! It's like a lamanent on plywood (maybe not exact, but close) so there will be some chipping. The directions were pretty easy to follow...and are clear enough that though some pieces weren't labeled, it didn't take long to figure out what was what. The back to the storage cabinet was missing a corner, but I didn't want to put that on anyway. I don't need the cd rack either, so I left all that out to be able to put more school books there. All in all, a great desk for the price!!

Surface is laminated PAPER,

I purchased this hoping that some reviewers may have had higher expectations than I did. It was the perfect size for a hutch desk. However, in assembling it, not only were the metal rails bent so I had to hammer them on concrete to bend them to fit, but just moving the pieces caused scratches. Then, the first night, someone placed a fluid filled disposable cup on the return section and when I removed it the next morning, the supposedly laminate surface was not only bubbled or blistered beyond repair, it actually RIPPED at the edges of the blistered circle. Also, we have an adjustable arm wide monitor that didn't fit into the center space. Even for $99, it is not worth it since I now will need to discard/give away and find another desk.

Great value,

This is a great desk for the price. It is a space saver but it also was able to hold my laptop and my desktop,including my printer. It did take some time to put it together and you do need two people,one to hold and one to drill.Overall it came out to be a great desk.
