This desk is a very good value for the price. It is pretty easy to put together. There are about 30 steps, but each is very simple. We did not put the cd holder on the desk or the door on the shelf. Still looks good without these and provides more room. It doesn't take up a lot of room, but has a lot of work space. It is really designed well. It will scratch pretty easy, so be gentle with the surface. I would definitely recommend this for a home office or a student.

I knew that for the price it would be cheap, but the quality is horrible. The connection between the desktop and "L" is flimsy. The layout of computer screen and keyboard is extremely uncomfortable and not very "ergo" friendly to the arms and neck. The wood had chips everywhere. I have bought other fake wood furniture products before, but they far exceed this desk. Buyer beware - do not buy this if you want quality and even something that is half decent! Yeah, it looks nice, but looks can be deceiving!!!

i love the value for the price but for a person with limted experimces and skills with this type of project it was dunting there is allot of parts and many were unlabeled i found myself reading and reading allot and at that dictions are only a few words and simple line drawings so i was taking things aprat allot and puting them back togther all in all thought worth the money allthough i would recomend that if you are new at this kind of project get help from someone who is better at it for thouse of you who do not want to use desk drawer start at step 7 but read back becuse you will need to backstep only to add the 2 metal plates on right used to attach additanl desk space other wise start from there

This desk fits the room just perfectly and it was easy to assemble. It only took my husband and myself two hours to put it all together. The desk top has plenty of room for my computer, phone, calculator, printer, speakers and some pictures. And, the price was right too. It's really a great buy.

While building our house we are cramped for space. I needed something that would provide a large work area but not use a lot of space (or break the bank). This desk provides ample work space and fits perfectly in the corner of my office. I am thrilled and all for under $100... definately a great deal. If I could say anything bad about this desk. I have wireless routers, modems, lots of "gadgets" on the top shelf and the "decorative wood colored support bar" seems to get in the way of that because the cords hit that instead of just dropping straight behind the desk. I would definately recommend this desk!

I watched this desk for a while before I decided to buy it, and was so excited when I got the email it was shipped to the Walmart near me. The pick up was really easy. Although the box was really heavy. You will not be able to get the full box in your house with out some help. As soon as I got it home I started putting it together. As earlier reviews has mentioned, the directions are confusing. There were a lot of parts that I had to rearrange. But for the most part it was easy. It is good to have someone help you put it together. It just makes things easier to have someone hold the part while you screw in the nail. The one problem I had, and I almost sent the desk back, was the part where the CD's are supposed to go. I think that's parts 16 and 13. The holes were placed wrong, so the CD backing didn't fit when I tried to connect it to the rest of the desk. But what I did was leave part 16 out, and put the rest of the desk together, and then just slid the backing it into place. Its not screwed in, but it really doesn't make a difference because it's just the backing for the CD console. The desk is not made of strong wood. Seems to be made out of some plywood material. But it is strong enough to hold my laptop and printer. And it looks expensive even though its not. So I'm happy with the desk.

This is a very nice desk with functional workspace. The cubby is not very big but will hold anything just a shade bigger than a DVD cannister. It is very sturdy but if moving it make sure you have two people. Looks nice. Had a few nicks in it when getting out of the box, but was in areas that would not show anyway. Very easy to put together, instructions easy to understand.

I am very impressed with this desk and for the price you cannot pass this one up. The instructions for putting it together were very easy to understand, however very time consuming. I am a 21 year old female with no carpentry skills and I put this together by myself. With the help of a power drill of course. I chose not to set up the cd casing option. I don't have the exact measurements for the monitor area, but my 19in fits with about 1/2 in on each side to spare. I am very satisfied with this desk.

Pros: Sturdy, spacious, nice look, fits nicely into the corner. Cons: The outer coating is very flimsy, a block had a long and big scratch on it (it may have caused during shipping) and the wood was exposed. The side block, the one without the hutch needs more support at the base. The assembling could be much easier....... requires lot of strength and time to fix it up. The CD rack is of no use........ the space to place the CDs are too big and it cannot hold CDs.... the CDs fall off.

This product meets expectations. Gives a lot of space to work simultaneously with both your lappy and paperwork esp. with the extension on the side. Fits in perfectly into the room. Only disadv: not much space to stow your books. But put an extra 10$ u get a rack for books at walmart.
Overall its a very good choice...

I have to tell you this was not initially my first choice, but picked it for the space I had available. After waiting for what seemed like ever, my husband picked it up from site-to-site store, and had it assembled in less than an hour. I absolutely LOVE this desk--the space, the look, and the functionality of it is perfect for me and what I need it for. It would be adaptable to any environment (small office, dorm room)--I think college students and work-at-home people would love this!! Great value, great buy, great price!

Only negative about the product is the instruction manual for assembly. The pictures are worthless because when you do the instructions, STEP BY STEP, even while looking at pictures, some of the pieces end up upside down or backwards requiring double work which is frustrating. I had read one review that said this and thought the person was exaggerating, but its true. Otherwise, for 100 bucks, great desk!

The desk does what it's suppose to do. I bought this desk to use as a computer/work/study desk. Being a college student, I needed a desk that was large enough to accommodate several open textbooks while still providing enough room to write. The L portion of the desk provides plenty of room to do this.
The original design of the desk limits the size of the monitor that can be use. I had to modify the desk a bit in-order for my 22" monitor to fit. I simply removed the disc rack (tray?) area and used angle braces to reinforce the top piece with the side piece. I then filled the holes with wood filler. Not bad for a relatively inexpensive desk.

I believe that the price of this desk is pretty amazing for what you get. It forms an "L" shape and looks very professional and sophisticated, as it has wood that is both natural and black in color. It has cupboard space and also has space on the top of it to store books or whatever sorts of items you would like to put on top. It has a rack dedicated to storing CD's- this rack has plenty of space. I currently have my computer, a printer, speakers, and a television on this desk and I still have room to spare. The only negative aspect about this desk is that you have to assemble it yourself and though the directions were pretty thorough and accurate, they could be confusing at times. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product and truly believe that it is well worth the cost.

The desk is very functional, it takes a little bit of time to put it together. The fit is good but the edges on the black components had white edges where the laminate butts together. I simply used a black magic marker to go over the edges after it was put together to eliminate all the white spaces. No one even noticed the difference. Works good for using my laptop and working out of my home.
