Loose Dowel Syndrome, 11/17/2009

Although the product appears to be easy to put together it's not, the instructions state "requires 2 people for assembly" this is a must. The dowels are not snug fitting and just when it starts looking like the picture on the box, the whole thing falls apart. Many of the dowels and screws were too short to hold the heavy particle board pieces together. Also, screw holes were not present in several areas contrary to what was stated in the instructions. We used a drill to make holes to fit the screws. Looks pretty but not worth the effort, instructions are difficult.

I just assembled the nightstand. I actually purchased it for my daughter for this Christmas, but was anxious to put it together and see how it looks. I didn't have any issues putting it together. It took about an hour. I am very pleased with how it came out. Looks very nice, drawer seems to slide well, little crystal knob on drawer is nice touch. Will have to wait and see about durability, but so far am very happy with purchase.

We bought this nightstand along with the Bedroom Set (Headboard Shelf, Dresser & Bed). It is good quality, great value, and very easy to put together. The most important factor in recommending this product, though, is that my daughter loves it.
