LeapFrog Tag Reading System

My 1 and 4 year old love this product. I would recommend it. Although it would be helpful to know that you have to download books into the reader pen via the internet and it will only hold 6 books at a time. So since my kids have 7 books, one of them never works with it and you have to connect to the computer via internet to change which books you want on it.

The only complaint I have is that it only holds memory for 5 books, so any more than that you have to add/remove them from the pen.

My 3 yo daughter loves this. It is so educational for her.

The Leap Frog Tag Reading System is awesome. My six year old son has cerebral palsy, yet he is able to get his little hand around the pen and I help him touch the pages -- he LOVES it! My three year old son thinks it's cool, too. It is so easy to use. Once your book is uploaded to the tag reader, the kids just turn it on and touch the icons on the pages. The books have exciting voices the kids enjoy, and they are having fun with the activities that are also included with each story. Their favorite is the "Cars" book.

We bought it for our 2yr. old son. He loves using it and learning from it. I suggest buying the case for the books if the child you are buying it for leaves everything laying around, or if you want the books/pen to be safe when not in use.

We bought this for our daughter for xmas bc she has really been struggling with reading. She's 6 and learning has always been a fast process for her and she was really getting discouraged when she wasn't able to catch on to reading like she does everything else. When she started first grade she was not reading at a first grade level and before xmas she was reading at 1.2 (1st grade 2nd month). We had been working really hard to get there! Since xmas I have spoken to her teacher and she is reading at a 1.9!! So she's almost reading at a 2nd grade level in less than a month. She loves it bc she feels like she's really able to do it on her own. An added bonus is that her little bro loves it too!

This is a great educational toy! If you can find it buy the walmart Bundle pack, at the same price as just the pen the bundle pack comes with the pen, a book, and the travel case (which cost another 15.00 dollars if bought alone) so the bundle was worth every penny. My little girl just turned 2 yrs old and loves it. She points to photo's with the pen to hear what they are and then tells me what it said. I'm a computer idot and this was VERY easy to install. If you no how to upload photo's from a digital camera to your computer you will be able to load books to the pen, you load them the same way.

PROS:
*The case can hold up to 6 books and the pen which makes for easy storage or travel.
*The pen holds up to 16 MB with books taken 2.5 MB or less I was able to load 6 books onto the pen even tho they say it can only hold 5 books.
*There are a good selection of books and most not only have a story to follow but tons of games to play at the end to help break things up.
*I riped a page by mistake but I just taped it back on and it still works just fine.

CONS:
*The pen can only store 5-6 books BUT with the travel case only able to hold 6 books I guess it makes sense. You can still upload and save them to your account, you just have to switch them out as need.
*It can cost alot to get just a couple books at around 15.00 dollars a book, but if you have many kids they are able to share the books.

This product is very helpful for my children's education

I wasn't really sure of the product at first but since I have already had other toys from Leap Frog I decided to give it a try. My daughter is 8 and is NON VERBAL, so it is very hard to gauge what she actually knows sometimes. The pen keeps track of her progress and how much she is comprehending and reading. She loves the books and the pen, and has logged 12 hours of reading in 5 days!!!! She also has 75% comprehension!! I am happy to say I love this product and recommend LEAP FROG any day.
