Does not work turns itself off, this is the second one we bought. LeapFrog does not give any help or support. The download makes it worse. Very disappointing when you spend this much money on something.

I bought this game for a 5 year old boys birthday. I got it on clearance for 35 dollars and he is still playing it. He reads and adds and it was so great watching him add by himself for the first time. I had a little problem when downloading it my home computer didn't have enough memory but, my laptop did so it works great now. I would recommend this for anyone with kids because it is educational and fun!!

We were very pleased with this product. We purchased it for our 5 year old grandbaby and she loved it. It was alot of fun watching her learn how to add and subtract. She caught on really quick. We all had fun playing it. I would recommend this over and over.

I got this game system on Clearance at our Wal-Mart for $15. A $100.00 system for $15; you can't go wrong. I have had it about 2 weeks. We have the jetback heros game and the Didj Racing tiki tropics. My children ages 6-9 and I love it. The best thing besides them learning and playing at the same time is that I got my Nintendo DS back. My kindergardener is doing the 1st grade and even some 4th grade work on it; He is non-schooled homeschooled. My other 2 children are public schooled and I download there weekly spelling lists to the system instead of spending hours calling out 40 words day after day. The only problem I have had is getting into the learning path on the website, but they send me e-mail updates on their learning. Overall I think it is a great investment, especially if you can find it for $15 like I did.

I can't tell you how pleased I am with the Didj! My 7 yr old wanted a DS lite, but I chose the didj instead both b/c of the price and the educational value. I am a teacher, and I am very impressed with the product. My son has not put it down since Christmas morning! He chooses to play the Didj over his Wii!! My only problem is that now my 4 yr old wants one too!! Ours has even been dropped several times with no damage (we do have the optional skin on it, which may help with this). Overall, I am thrilled with the Didj and so glad I took the chance on buying it!

This is a very good and helpful learning game for children of all ages. The only thing that I don't like about is that the batteries run down sooooo fast. Other than that this is a great product and I would recommend to other parent that have children that love to play games, or even be a slower learner then others. This is an GREAT PRODUCT!

My son is 6 and loves his Didj he got for Christmas. The only problem I have with it is our computer is old and so we can't hook it up to download the free game. It will only work with the newer windows programs. Otherwise it's a very good buy.

My son always has loved his Leapster, and now this is the perfect bridge to a more "sophisticated" video game system (which still has a wealth of learning sinisterly interwoven into it's games). My 6-year old plays Sonic constantly, and has no idea that I've been tracking his performance on the web, nor that I have been secretly increasing the grade level of his game questions....he just knows he likes to play it. Would definitely recommend it to any parent.

My son got the didj for christmas, so I could put his spelling words in so he can learn them. The only thing I did not like about it is. For what you pay for the system, I think it should of come with a chargeable batterie. I know it has an ac adpter but don't help if we are on a long car ride and the batteries goes. But other then that my son loves it

THis is an excellent alternative to regular video games. The kids have to pass "obstacles" in order to continue the game. They are spelling or doing math reading etc...and loving it. All they know is that they are playing a video game and as parents we know that they are learning while having fun. My daughter who is 6yrs old can't put it down. My son (who is 4) has the younger version (The Leapster) and he loves that too. Best of all when she outgrows it I can pass it down to the next one!! great idea....learning while playing....love it

My 7 year old used to play the leapster but in the last 6 months has grown tired of it. We decided it was time for an upgrade to the Didj. We couldn't be happier with out decision. The screen is bright, the product is durable (already taken a few drops), and the game selection is nice. My computer is several years old and I haven't had any of the other stated problems with connecting it online. It worked the first time we set it up, and everything downloaded quickly. My son saves his games just fine so I am also not aware of any of those problems either. He loves the fact that he can customize his own didjie as he calls it and can change it with his moods. I love that I can integrate what he is currently working on in school and we haven't had a problem with the system yet. His 11 year old cousin even loved playing it. Awesome product and definetely worth the money, you get what you pay for and this time Leap Frog certainly delivered.

I know this is a new product but the game selection could be better. she had out grew her vtech last winter. This is great for int he car when we have to go somewhere and can't work on her spelling until later.

I purchased this for my 7 year old son who has had the Leapster for a few years now. I do not allow any other video game in my home. I have a 17 year old son that was allowed to have X Boxes, Play stations and all those, it totaly consumed him, he was unable to think of anything other than those games. So with this child I will only allow educational games. I purchased this game for Christmas and went ahead and set it up for him today (so it will be ready when he recieves it on Christmas morning). I did not experiance any problems with the down loads or the web-site. I had the entire operation done from opening the box to creating his footprint and my account in less than 30 minutes. I even played the game for a few minutes. I am confident we will be pleased with this Leap Frog product as well.

My son has been using a leapster since he was 3 years old. It only went through 3rd grade content, and there weren't many games to choose from at 2nd and 3rd grade level. The Didj goes to 5th or 6th grade, and new content is promised regularly. I have not played the games myself, but the graphics for the didj look better to me. I don't like the first games out - most are violent, rude, or crude. Too much Nick toons. But my complaint was heard at the top levels of the company and they said future titles would meet my expectations. Tiki Racer is fine. Didj makes learning fun! That is what I'm paying for. These are purchased by schools too, for classroom use. They have a headphone jack, so kids can play quietly.

An upgraded Leapster,

If your children played the leapster then, they will love the Didj. If your children are used to playing Wii, PSP, or other gaming devices, don't waste your money. The screen is clear and bright. The system automatically saves your childs game when it is turned off. The games are educational, fun, and entertaining. This is not for young children. I would purchase the leapster for children grade K-1 and under. Overall, this is a great product however there are a few cons: 1) The recharger has been recalled and another one is not expected to be released until early 2009 2) There are only a handful of games that have been released so far. Leapster was the same way in the beginning. They will have more released soon. 3) To set up for customizing, it is a pain. You need to set aside 1 day to download included game, set up account for the learning path, and make and download avatar's. Is it fun, uh, NO! Is it worth it, uh, YES! 4) The cases that they make to coordinate with the products do not have enough room to hold more than a few games. Since our Leapster library includes EVERY game and our Didj library is only missing two, for them to hold 4-8 games is crazy. Have they every asked their children to make choices? It's never a pleasant task when in a hurry! Overall, buy the product. My children have gained a wealth of knowledge from the Leapfrog products. I could not ask for better products or service.
