I love my new Sony Portable DVD Player. This is the 8th player I have purchased in the last 4 years. I have bought them for my husband, son and grandson- But this one is MINE! It meets all my expectations- and more- I chose it because it does not have and external battery, I owned only one and it was a nightmare. It has a long battery life- longest I've ever had - I have not timed it but have watched 2 movies in a row. It's screen has a glass-like surface so you don't have to be so careful opening and closing it. I definitely perfer a DVD player I can close up- It has a remote control so you can fast forward back to watch something over without having to back up a whole scene. Volume is the only complaint-it is too low without earphones if you have much noise going on arround you- Volume is fine hooked up to the TV-

I really shopped around, and this DVD player seemed to be the best pick for the price. I am really happy with it so far, and I wish I would have bought it earlier. Long car rides are so easy, and the kids will watch it with no problems. Some DVDs play louder than others, but the sound isn't bad. The screen is nice, but it leaves prints easily. I even found that this DVD player is cheaper at Wal-Mart, and not from other retailers. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with its long battery life, great picture, and nice sound. It might be more than you would want to spend, but it is an excellent buy for the price.

This is a quality product with a sharp screen and functions very well. The battery life is awesome at 5 hours. You get what you pay for and you will not be disappointed. Buy it, I am very pleased that I bought this model.

i just got this dvd player for my birthday about a week ago, but i bought it at best buy. so far so good, but both of the times that i have used it, it froze up for a second but then i just went back a scene and everythign went well from there. my brother had recommended this product to me , so i bought it. he has had his for almost a year and he thinks its great. he uses it alot when he travels and says the battery lasts long enough to watch two movies on a single charge. cant wait to use it more.

My husband and I bought this specifically for a trip to FL later in the yr so that our 2 yr old would have something to do. Although we did have to purch addtl items to mount it to the back of the seat, it was very easy to do and the quality of the prod can't be beat. The picture is clear, the sound is great. Should be an enjoyable 9 hrs in the car...for her! :)

Sony portable is an excellent DVD player. I took it on vacation for my 4 year old grandson and he could use it without any problems. I love the ease of use, constructed well, picture extremely clear. Volume and use of additional cords for charging were great. Would definitly recommend this product. Price quite affordable. Love it.

Great product. It made a two 10 and 12 hour drives w/my 2 year old son pleasant. I highly recommend. How did we ever fly and drive without it?? Now my husband and I can rent two different DVD's from the video store and watch them in two different areas of the house.

More than met my expectations. It was invaluable when my grandsons each wanted to watch a different movie; one viewed his choice on the portable and the on the television. They were soon watching the portable together. Sony is a terrific product that I strongly reccomend.

This player is really excellent! The picture quality is unbelievable. The screen seems larger than it is. When I ordered it after reading reviews of other DVD players I was a little worried about the volume but no problems at all with this player. I get excellent quality in that area whether listening through the speaker on the player or through my headphones. The battery power is good. If I had any negative thing to say it would be that the booklet troubleshooting is not the best; but that is such a small thing that I would REALLY recommend this DVD player. You get what you pay for with it!!!

We use this DVD player in our camper while camping and it is perfect for the two of us! Great sound, picture! Like that you can switch from widescreen to full screen and that it has a remote--just wished the remote worked to operate the sound! Otherwise, another great Sony product!

We love the swivel feature of the screen and it seems to be very sturdy. Our only complaint is that you cannot control the volume with the remote, which becomes annoying when you've got kids that want the volume up and down constantly. You have to find the little know on the side to control the volume. But, other then that, it has been a nice product. We have tried over 4 different kinds that have been awful.

We purchased this product on sale at a local Walmart and are very pleased! The LCD is crystal clear, and the sound quality is (surprisingly) very good. Comes with rechargeable battery, a/c adapter, car adapter, and a/v cables to receive input from other devices, or to send output to a larger TV. I don't think you can beat the price for a quality Sony product! We have not had the device long enough to report battery life, but I have read other reviews that indicate up to six hours of continuous play if you adjust settings properly. Also, I am not a huge action movie guy, so I'm not sure how the sound/speakers will hold up under such conditions, but for the kids movies that my daughter enjoys, it's perfect.

The first portable DVD player I bought my son lasted all of 6 months before it wouldn't play a dvd. This time I decided to go with a name that I knew - Sony. This DVD player has been great - we take it on long car trips all the time! We love it! The swivel screen is nice. The screen size is great. I can't say enough about it.
