The Dyson DC24 Multi-Floor Upright Vacuum Cleaner is one of the lightest Dyson upright vacuum cleaners for all floor types. It comes with a handle that can be compressed, allowing you to store it even in small spaces. This lightweight upright vacuum cleaner features a motorized brush bar, driven by an independent motor, for a better cleaning performance and a fingertip brush control to turn the brush bar on or off at the touch of a button. With a reversible wand for cleaning hard-to-reach areas, this HEPA upright vacuum cleaner also has an on-board accessory tool, in which the nozzle converts to a brush tool for dusting. This bagless upright vacuum cleaner has no loss of suction.

Although Walmart had to send it twice because they lost my first order, the vacuum is just what I expected. It has good power and was able to pick up the hair my old vacuum could not.

I have had several vacuum cleaners over the years and this one far surpasses all the others. It picks up hair and dirt better than anything I have ever used! I enjoy vacuuming. It is lightweight and easy to empty the canister of debris. My only negative was there were no instructions as how to assemble it and how to use the various functions. But I got on the internet and found what I needed to know.

I've only used this twice so far but it works great! I used my old vacuum first and then went over the carpet again with my new Dyson and it picked up so much dust and pet hair I couldn't believe it! The only thing I was surprised about was the size. I didn't read the dimensions and it is tiny. But still it is super powerful and user friendly. The design is neat in that the flexible hose, when not in use, sits vertically and compact behind the vacuum and then the extension hose (hard plastic) sits inside that and is the part of the handle of the actual vacuum when not in use. The bonus of that is you don't have parts swinging all over the place while you are using it. Pretty cool!

This is the best vacuum I have ever owned, I've had it for over 2 years now & have never had any problems with it. I use it almost everyday. I used to purchase a new vacuum every year, because I would buy cheap $100. vacuums that would stop working within a couple of months, or never really worked to begin with. This vacuum is worth the money!!!!!! You won't be disappointed!!! The best thing about this vacuum is that you can actually remove the spinning brush bar, so you can clean it. Amazing!!!!!

I purchased this after an injured hand and wrist made vacuumming a painful chore. I am very pleased with the navigation and the weight of this vacuum. Being made of plastic allows the product to be lighter, but I don't know how it will hold up when compared to vacuums made of stronger materials. The suction/cleaning ability is much better than other vacuums I have tried on my hardwood floors.

I love this vacuum! Everything clicks together and it is so easy to use. The suction is fantastic. It has cleaned my very dirty carpet very well. It does have a rather small width but with the suction it doesn't matter. The canister is also small but if you empty is often there is no bother!

They don't carry this in store so I had to order it online. My son and I have asthma so I really need a good vacuum so I purchased the Shark professional in the interim. The Shark was awesome with powerful suction and the brush actually rakes up the carpet fibers to make it look so plush and new. It pulled out a lot of things from the carpet and my husband and I was amazed. The Dyson brush is light weight and just barely ran over the carpet top. It did pick of a few things and moved around easily as well as the Shark but the suction is not as powerful as the Shark professional. We decided to keep the Shark.

I was really excited to buy this vacuum 1 year ago. I had always wanted a Dyson vacuum and was so excited when it went on sale black Friday 2011. I owned this vacuum over a year, and while it does a good job sucking up dirt and manuevering around furniture/under cabinets overall I'm not super impressed. The cord is very short, I have a small townhouse and I find myself unplugging and switching outlets more than with any other vacuum I've owned. I also think the way the attatchments are set up is not easy to use. In fact, I usually unded up getting out my cheaper vacuum when it's time to clean the stairs or furniture. It's also fairly easy to accidentally click a button on the front that releases the handle from the rest of the vacuum. I think I just expected more for the price. I recently gave this vacuum away and just use my $100 vacuum.

In all honesty, my wife was extremely pleased with the way this vacuum picked up dirt. But then she used it on the stairs. On the top of the brush area, on each side there is a molded piece of plastic that forms a point, imagine a hook. While lifting the vacuum from one stair up to the next, one of these 'hooks' caught a loop and pulled a long chunk of carpet off the backing. She immediatley sent a e-mail to Dyson and received a e-mail response with a phone number to call. She called and sat on hold for 25 minutes before leaving her phone number. She has never heard from them.

This is by far the best vacuum I've ever owned and I've had many. The suction is just what I was expecting, AWESOME! The price from Walmart couldn't be beat and I had the product within 4 days, shipment was excellent. I would HIGHLY recommend the Dyson I have problems with asthma and dust, sure don't smell any dust when I'm using the Dyson now. VERY HAPPY!! :-)

I've had this Dyson vacuum for just a couple of weeks. So far it's really Great!
Strong suction, much better than the rechargeable Electrolux I had.
I need it primarily for hard floors, some area rugs, very good on both!
The only bad thing is it doesn't solve the problem of getting on hands and knees to clean under the beds. There really isn't an attachment that comes with it that is big enough to pick up a big space at a time, so your back and forth hundred times with the small attachment. (it should really come with a proper attachment)
I did purchase the allergy kit, but haven't really
used it yet.. I think is better for upholstery, mattresses, and blinds, not,under beds :(
Great for regular cleaning!!!

I realized after I got it that I do most of my vacuuming at night. It should have lights for those dim corners. I guess I'll just strap on a couple of flashlights and keep going! Oh, and one more thing... The cord should be a little longer. I can't do the whole room without unplugging and switching to a different socket. Once I unplug, I just want to stop! :)
