It's a camcorder you can carry with you every day that takes great pictures. Sound quality is not as good as picture quality. The AVI fromat that videos are saved as does not work on the computer at work. I have to convert them to WMV format before I can use them at work.

This camera was SUPER easy to use ... turn on, point shoot. The when plugged into any computer it prompts you about what you'd like to do with the video. The video's take awhile to compress and send ... but, after compressed you can e-mail them anywhere! Love it!

This is my first Digi-cam, and I gotta say that it is awesome! ^___^ I bought it with the intention of uploading stuff to Youtube, and it's so easy to work! The software that comes on it allows you to do some simple editing (like changing the starting and ending points, adding a title screen and a credits screen), and you can post it directly to Youtube! This little thing is amazing - and resilient! I haven't dropped it (and hopefully I won't), but it's been in my backpack and to and from school for a while now. My backpack tends to eat things, and the Flip has come out unscathed so far!
I cannot express how satisfied I am with this. :D
Just a note, though: if you are looking to take professional-quality videos, save your money for something else. XD This camcorder is mostly for amateurs like myself who just wanna have fun and be silly with it. XD

Have you ever missed your child dancing around a living room? Or catch a toddler in mischief and wish you had something at hand to record that moment, especially if your mischief-maker stops what he/she is doing to play with the lens cap of the camcorder?
Well, I have a product for you. Since purchasing the Flip Mino, my husband and I have captured more 2 minute 'moments' than ever before to the delight of family and friends. It's not for big events. It's for a toddler 'petting' the cat while meowing and expecting a reply. Or a two year old who finds mommy's sudoku book and scribbles proudly on the pages.
You get 60 minutes to have fun. Easy to use from the moment you take it out of the box. Loading videos to the computer is so simple, I can do it. Picture quality is above what I expected. It's so small, it's unobtrusive in my purse or pocket of my jeans.
I suppose you could use a camera or a phone but if you don't want to buy a new phone just to have this feature, this is an excellent purchase.

Although I was excited with the video camera...to start with..I soon became frustrated. The software that was built in did not work properly. Many Many emails with the Flip ppl to try and correct the problem. Never got it working. Then went online and found MANY other Flip owners dissatisfied with the product. Because it only comes with a 90 day guarantee and after reading the multiple complaints online I returned the product. WALMART WAS GREAT..they returned my money, without a hitch. I LOVE WALMARTS return policy, I ordered online - had all the original packaging and shipping invoice and could easily returned it to my local store.

We bought this camera as an easy "drop in your pocket" digital camera recorder. We were amazed at it's ease of use. It's small, comes with a slender case and everything you need to get started filming those precious moments in your kids lives. We upgraded to the mino for the primary reason that it re-charges by USB instead of batteries. Once we realized the cost of buying batteries for the regular Flip, it was easy to spend the little extra upfront to get the rechargable camera.

The quality of the video is quite good even indoors. It's amazingly simple to use and very compact to take anywhere. Transferring clips to your computer is via a pop out USB connector and couldn't be anymore convenient.

This Flip Camcorder is the perfect LITTLE camcorder for those times when you don't want to lug a larger camcorder around with you... this is purse-sized and has just enough memory (60 min digital) to record a special memory or occasion. It is lightweight and extremely compact for what it does... and the sound quality is very good for a camera of this price range and size. I got it on special for $97, so my deal was phenomenal!
I would highly recommend this camcorder for anyone who is on a tight budget or just wants a small camera to take along "just in case"...
Only drawback is that there is no pause button so you need to stop and then restart filming, but the quality is so good that I don't think for the price that it's a big deal... and you can get still photos from your computer if you download the images or copy the entire video on to a DVD from your TV if you have a DVR...
Great deal for the price.
