I always like to stick with Nikon. You really do get better pictures and clarity. I have owned 2 Nikon's before this and LOVE Nikon. This one is definitely a low budget camera compared to my other, more expensive cameras, but I still get good pictures. I wish this camera had an easier way to charge the batteries, but I will get rechargeables. Good value for little money.

when the camera arrived, it was broken i guess to it being thown around. at first they didnt think that they couldnt exchange the product but the nice manager let us. it's really nice but the rechargable battery didnt last that last. every 18 picture we took , we had to recharge it. it was very unconvenient. i would buy a camera that doesnt use the rechargeable battery.

Pleasantly surprised with quality of product for the money. Very easy to enter initial settings. Not sure yet about power supply of AA batteries, which it comes equiped with, vs rechargable nickle cads, which can be purchased and used. Thinking it may be a plus for my application.

I am still learning how to use this camera, it is pretty easy. I went on a trip to a Big Cat Rescue Center over the weekend and got some awsome pictures. I tried to do a video with sound so I could hear the Lions roaring, but messed it up. I really like the camera. Just need more practice.

I bought this as a inexpensive replacement for a Samsung that was acting funky since I bought it. Use it for everyday use. Doesn't have alot of bells & whistles, but gets the job done. Has been dependable so far, takes sharp pictures. easy to use & is compact. Very good value for the $. It will never replace an SLR, but for an everyday take along it's well worth the price. Liked it so much that I bought another as a gift.

This is an excellant camera, especially for the price. Pictures come out very sharp and crystal clear. I took a picture of a newspaper page from 5 feet away and could clearly read every word in the picture; and I didn't focus, the camera focused automatically. I highly reccommend this camera.

Four years ago, when I saw the quality of photos taken with an early CoolPix, I quickly traded in my Olympus and have not looked back. I now have a Nikon D40 Digital SLR as my main camera, but I often still rely on that old CoolPix. This L16 is the third CoolPix I have purchased as gifts, and it has not disappointed. It is a very easy to use camera, with a serviceable zoom, in-camera red-eye reduction, and a megapixel level that is just fine for snapshot size prints and great for webshots. The Nikkor lens is sharp and bright. Power consumption is so low that batteries seem almost immortal! Considering the wide-range of features and its low price, this camera is perfect for younger users or as a back-up camera or knock-around camera.
