The Ripstik is pretty difficult but once you get a hang of it, its really fun, I recommend that when you buy it you buy pads so when you fall you don't get hurt as much. I recommend this item a lot though.

I bought this for my 11 yr old son for Christmas. At first he was very scared to use it, since it only has two wheels and he was use to the regular skateboard, but after a day, he was able to know how to use it and manuver it around. Now he just can't leave it alone. It is an excellent skateboard for not just riding it, but also great exercise. Also, there is little force needed to move it around. I highly recommended it to any pre-teen or teen boy or girl, since my 8 year old niece learned how to use it too.

this is the most amazing looking ripstick it looks slik and clean i had the old ripstick and i road it every day till it was rideing on its bare rims i have been rideing the ripestick for over a year daily i learned how to ride in one day the instrutional video really works i recommend any ripstick but mostly the ripstick G

Both my sons got this for Christmas. They love them. My one son has a skateboard he uses all the time and he said it was so easy, my other son is not a big skateboarder, but was able to learn it fairly easily. On flat surfaces it is easier than a skateboard to travel farther. All in all it is a fun toy. I would recommend it highly. Also there is nothing that needs to be put together which is nice.

I purchased the Ripstik "G" Caster Board - Black for my 11 year old daughter for Christmas. It seems to be the "IN" thing for the neighborhood kids and she had to have one. She has not learned to use it. She is just now getting it down where she can stay on it without falling off. I think she'll get it before long. Too many kids in the neighborhood that have them that can show her. She loves it and can't wait to get the full swing of it. She has not had much time to get on it with all the holdiay swing. I recommend this due to all the other kids in the neighborhood riding them... its really neat to see them in action. Most of them have had them since last Christmas and are still moving on them on a daily basis. Good luck.

This is an exciting toy. However, I recommend that children be supervised when using it. They should also wear a helmet and knee/elbow pads. It requires skill to ride this toy and can therefore be dangerous. I would not purchase this for a child under the age of 13.

My son is 8 which is the low age range for this product. He got it for Christmas and it is his favorite present. He rides it three to five times a day and was able to master it within two days. I was afraid he would have a hard time and become frustrated with it, but there is a video dvd that shows how to ride it. Definitely worth the money, sturdy "toy" that your child will love and play with often!

This is a good toy to get the kids moving! We bought the regular ripstick for my daughter and this one for our son who likes to do tricks. I f your kid is hard on toys go with this one. My son tried to grind on a regular ripstick and it cracked in half. Both ripsticks are fun--tricky to master at first--but with practice they will be experts in no time. Grown-ups be careful...it's not as easy for us.

If your child has the original Ripstick they will LOVE the Ripstik G. It is much lighter and faster. You can also grind with it, but my 9 year old is still working on that. Just a quick note to those who have no experience with Ripsticks. This is not like a skateboard, you can't just hop on and go. They take a little practice and determination to master.
