This vacuum does a good job on collecting dirt and pet hair from carpets. It IS a bit heavier than what I would have liked it to be. This is my second Eureka. I am happy with this one, also.

So, if you don't mind putting your muscle behind this powerful vac, buy it. Your carpets will love you.

I purchased the boss smartvac that didn't have the power paw(it wasn't available to review though) about 6 months ago and I LOVE it. I have 2 small kids and a dog and my Husband isn't exactly carefull about messes. It has great suction and isn't too heavy to carry downstairs. Every bagless vacuum I've ever had lost suction quickly and the belts broke constantly, this vacuum is wonderful. I'm able to do my daily pick up and vacuum with no problem. Buy it.

I read the reviews on the Eureka Boss Smartvac and decided to purchase one to replace our old sweeper. I'm not at all disappointed that I did. The sweeper is quiet compared to previous sweepers I have owned. The Power Paw attachment works great on furniture. The sweeper is so powerful that the suction pulls it along the carpet. I had no idea how poorly our old sweeper was functioning until I swept the rugs with this one!! The reason for the 4 star rating on features is because the Power Paw falls off the retainer clip sometimes while sweeping. Overall, it's a great sweeper.

The only thing about this Vacuum is that it's a little heavy. You'll definitely get a workout. lol It does a fantastic job at picking up "Animal Fur" !!! I have 4 cats. Over all I am very satisfied with this product. I bought the Hoover Wind Tunnel and was VERY VERY disappointed in it !! :o( Won't pick up the fur and over all just a waste of my hard earned money.

So if you want a good quality product, then this is the one bar none!!!!!

Good Stuff:
The vacuum was very easy to assemble- just attach the handle with 3 screws. The belt and the bag are already installed. It comes with a replacement belt and another bag. It took about 30 minutes to go through the package and put everything together.

It runs smooth and much quieter than my old vacuum - surprisingly quiet! It picks up pet hair very well. After I vacuum it actually looks vacuumed - even on very low pile carpet.

Cons I can live with:
The handle release is pretty stiff - the handle does not release unless you really push on the lever and pull down on the handle.

Take care going over throw rugs with this vacuum it will suck up lighter (woven) rugs unless you have someone stand on the ends.

The tool slots on the back of the vacuum are sort of cheesy - the tools don't really 'snap' into place so you can't tell if they're in or not. The crevice tool fell out every time I released the handle to vacuum, so I just keep in on the shelf until I need it.

Recommendation:
I bought this vacuum on the recommendation of my sister (who has pets and kids) and I would recommend this vacuum to others.

YOU CAN'T BEAT THE VALUE OF THIS VAC. IT'S WHAT YOU NEED FOR PET HAIR ON UPHOLSTERY, BARE FLOORS, CARPETED FLOORS AND STAIRS, AND GENERAL DUST.

This is a great vacuum for the price! I've wanted to replace our vacuum ever since we got it, but it wasn't very old. I finally couldn't stand it anymore and was considering a Dyson. I didn't want to spend that much just to find out it wasn't any better. So after some research, bought this Eureka. It's better than I expected. Love that when you're using the hand tool, the main brush isn't spinning in place. Has awesome suction. I don't feel like I'm fighting with it to push it. I only wish it had a longer hose. Buy this vacuum - you won't regret it!!

I'm very pleased with this vacuum. The assembly was a breeze and the suction power is great! Even though the price seems low compared to other brands, the quality and performance is just as good as the more expensive brands. The only complaint I have is that the button to raise the roller is a bit hard to lock into place. Because of this I use it on all carpets first, then on floors. That way I only have to adjust it once. The noise level, in my opinion, is no different than any other vacuum I've owned. Over-all a best buy in my book!

My vacuum was delivered very fast and in great condition. The suction is very powerful. The only drawback is that it is very heavy and can be cumbersome. If you're a strong person, it shouldnt be any problem for you to operate. I'm slight, so it can be a challenge for me, but the price is right and it does do a good job.
