I wanted this product because I have a folding Montague Paratrooper bike, and permanent racks are not compatible. Unfortunately, trying to install it was impossible. The two inserts provided were useless. Using both inserts made it impossible to fit on the seat post. Using one insert made it too loose, which lead to the rack swaying back and forth. After messing with it for an hour, I quickly returned it.

I've had this product for 2 weeks and it's been doing a great job for me. The cords that comes with the rack is also convenient. ONLY THING is that when installing the rack, the ring was either too loose or too tight using their two sizes of rings they gave me, but I tighted it with some clothe and it's not a hard feat to do. Nevertheless, it's the value product and good quality overall.

The bike rack was easy to install and very sturdy. The bungee cord that came with the rack is useless since it can't even hold a kid's backpack. I gave my son a pair of good bungees, and he've been happily riding the trail to school with the backpack on the rack!

I have just tried for 2 hours to fit this to my daughter's bike, which is a full-sized Rayleigh bike. The first instruction states slide over seat post. How? The seat post is wider than the hole it is suppose to fit. There are two inserts inside the hole (a typical feature with light fixtures on bikes). In the past I have always found it necessary for both inserts to be used with light fixtures. Removing one of the inserts results in not being able to tighten the rack so it does not move. I have tried to lever the place you slide the post to be wider but this is solid steel.

the rack was easy to install and seems sturdy. I did not like the fact that it was short. i wanted to put a box/basket on the back. i would have liked the base to slide out a little longer to support the box but it has 2 screws on the bottem that keep it in place so the length is not adjustable. This means it sits close to the back of the bike seat and putting a plastic milk carton type of box is going to be awkward.
On the other hand it looks good on my KONA and will help keep the mud off my back and the milk carton box would not look too cool anyway.

This what not useful. I thought it would be. I thought I could carry small things on it and it would be really handy but it doesn't even fit on my bike! It said it is easy to fix but it was too big. I don't know whether it's just my bike being small but i spent hours on it and I still haven't got it to work!

Bought this Schwinn product to carry light packages (eg gym bag) and it works excellently. Can also be shared by other riders because it is attached to seat post (just take off seat and swap it with another rider). Walmart was also 20+% cheaper for this product than other stores

So I bought this with low expectations but I must say it works well and for half the price of something you would buy at REI or other store. It's sturdy and holds like it says, 20 pounds. I use it to store my lunch and clothing for work. There was one issue though. At first my seat post was too large to fit. Taking a flat head screwdriver to the clamp and giving it a few good stretches worked like a charm. Once I figured out the bungie, (ended up taking it apart and stringing it through the slots provided) it holds all my things on some pretty bumpy roads. REI sells one for 50 bucks that broke within days, this one is a year old and going strong. So this cheap but sturdy rack is perfect for what it is intended for, light loads, and basic travel.

I have recently begun to ride my bicycle that I have had for 10-12 years. I needed to be able to carry items such as cell phone, keys, or drinks but didn't have a good way to do this. I have a dual suspension bike and needed to get a seat post mount rack. Unfortunately, my Wal-Mart didn't have any bike racks in stock, but I found this online and had it delivered to my store. It is perfect for my needs being a casual rider. If you ride seriously and are concerned about lightness, you may want to spend a little more as this rack is a bit heavy. Overall, perfect for my needs.

I used this on a 32 mile mountain biking trip and it held a 4 lbs. tent, a sleeping bag, a tool bag and a small food bag. Once I figured out the optimal way to arrange everything it worked amazing.

this rack is perfect for carrying all your groceries, water bottles etc. its light and has a large capacity for weight. (up to 20 pounds) if you do some research on the internet you will see that the maximum weight a seatpost can carry is 25 pounds well id rather pay $20-$25 LESS for a product that works perfectly. (there is not that much stuff you would carry over 20 lbs) also the hole for the seatpost fits all models (thickness)
