Terrible Picture Problems!,

Well, I can at least say that the sound is okay on this television. That's about all.
We were very pleased with the television for the first few months that we had it. Shortly after that, areas of discoloration began to expand from the left and right sides of the screen. Thus far, it has "grown" to cover over 80% of the screen. So, I can see proper color in a narrow strip down the center of the screen.
RCA has been, let's say, "less than helpful" in resolving the issue. There is no reason that a new television should have this issue. And RCA should stand by their product enough to provide some assistance to their customers.

I bought this model two years ago and have not had one single problem. The picture is beautiful and sound is great. I am looking to buy another one for my grandson because all he wants to do is play video games (multiple hookup ports - side and back) and watch DVD's, this is perfect. I love the fact that if I cannot afford to buy a HDTV right away, I will not lose my channels. Thanks RCA.

I bought this tv on a whim for my mother for Christmas. We got it out of the box, connected it to our cable and nothing. Went thru the manual and tried everything, said that we had a "low digital signal strength". Hooked a dvd player to it and couldn't view the movie. Needless to say I wasn't too happy. We couldn't even get any sound, static or anything. I returned the tv within 2 hours of buying it.

You can't go wrong with this tv, have dish satelite on ours and the picture sound is great. Very heavy tv so make sure you have a helping hand in lifting. If you buy from store check before you leave, tv is not pack very good and you might have damage if you don't check it out. Had to take back the first two because console was crack due to poor packing at factory. This tv is very good.

A great television for the price.The only thing missing would be a scan function for active channels...this set does not do that.We are running it on rabbit ears only and the picture is great ! Sound quality could be improved.This is the heaviest TV I have lifted since the 1970's !!! Make sure you have help and a pickup truck when and if you buy it.Overall I would highly recommend it.

If you want a new TV but can't afford an HD set, this is a great value (I got it for $248). I've owned an RCA TV for 10 years and it still works, so I decided to go with this brand again, since I know it's good (WalMart offers another 27" tube TV by Soyo for about $100 less, but it's not a flat screen and I don't know much about the brand).
The flat screen is really nice and a big improvement over the older model. I didn't even realize you could switch between widescreen and full screen modes before I bought this TV, so that was a pleasant surprise. Two a/v inputs and one set of component inputs allow for you to attach plenty of accessories, and the audio outputs make it easy to set up with your home stereo.
Good picture, good sound, great price.
It's a little bulky, but a good option if you can't afford an LCD or plasma set (I'd rather go with this than a bargain brand LCD set that will break in a year or two).

I got this tv,june 20,i had it 2 months,the picture looks real cloudy and the images look distorted.The sound was horrable,if you put in a movie to watch,you have to turn the volume up all the way to watch the movie,i thought it might be the dvd player.I put the same movie on my moms tv,the volume worked fine.This tv almost broke my back getting it in the house,im in pretty good shape,but this thing is very heavy.I tried to play my playstation 2 on it,it only has 2 video inputs it should have 3.Please dont buy this tv,you will regret it.Where it says digital cable,it wont hook up to my direct tv.It only has 2 hookups for you dvd player and direct tv hookup.Now i have to load this heavy pile of garbage back in its box and take it back to Walmart.

I am very satisfied with this product. I needed a television after the one I had for so long finally died. I did not have the money to buy one of the NEW televisions so I was happy to find a couple of these type of televisions in Walmart. I was very happy. Took it home, hooked it up, and it works great. Good picture, good sound, really sounds good with surround sound system I already had. Thought this was a great buy!

I purchased this on 07-07-08. $199 would have been a better price. I have analog cable. If you can still get that, don't waste your money on digital cable with this unit; it will only be slightly better. TV stereo sound is great. Sound playing a DVD is not so good; invest in speakers for that. Simple setup with basic remote. I would have preferred a 32" set however, for my distance from the set, 27" is fine. You really do get what you pay for. Overall, for a legacy tv I give it high marks. Don't like LCD or Plasma units.
