At first the Sharp was great. However, after 2.5 weeks the picture quality changed in the middle of watching a show - could not be fixed no matter what picture mode was chosen - tried the advance settings, too. Ended up returning the Sharp and purchasing the more expensive Sony Bravia. Absolutely love the Sony! Would strongly recommend spending the extra $100 for the Sony Bravia - stay away from the Sharp. Both TV's, by the way, are very easy to set up.

I love it. It's light weight and just big enough for my bedroom. Beautiful quality set for the price. No problems and they shiped it so fast. I think it arrived within 2 days after I placed the order but it was scheduled to come the following week. It arrived just in time for me to have it going into my new apartment. My bedroom is not very big so the sound is perfect for me. Thanks Walmart!

I currently own a Samsung 50" Plasma HDTV for my livingroom, and let me say that this small TV that cost a 4th of what my Samsung cost looks almost as amazing. The quality is great, color contrast is good, blacks are deep, whites are crystal white.

However I wouldn't recommend this TV for anything besides a bedroom or a dorm room. 32" is small for most average sized living rooms. But other than that, its a huge deal for someone who wants amazing quality for a great price.

I only gave an overall rating of 4 due to the fact that I have only had the tv for about 1 month. In this price range it is probably the best tv especially in comparison to the Sony and Samsung equivalents. The only slight negative is the sound quality which is still good but lacks low tones it sort of sounds a little hollow. However, my old sharp tv that this replaced had the same sound quality issue. THis really isn't much of a problem if you are using it with a surround sound system.

I love this tv, absolutely amazing picture. My only problem is that sometime s the picture fades like it is adjusting to the light, but I think I figured out how to work the av modes to get that to stop and the picture to be perfect finally.

Great buy, and definitely the way to go if you want great quality at a little cheaper of a price. Although, the visio's are cheaper I think the picture quality is better on the sharp.

It took a power surge to knock out my old TV, which was excellent, and get me into the "Now" technology.
I did some checking and I think I finally made a good choice by chooseing this 32" Sharp LCD TV. The sound is so much better than my old Sony.

The first problem was that the remote control and manual were missing from the box. In addition, it appeared that someone had already opened the box because there were fast food receipts in the box. Walmart.com has excellent customer service, so when I sent an email about the remote and manual, I got an immediate response.
About the Sharp 32" LCD HDTV w/Digital Tuner, when it was attached to the stand, it did not work. It was just black on one side. It was returned to Walmart within a couple of days, and replaced with a Vizio HD TV.

I found this TV basically to be a good product for the money. The main problem I found was that the instruction/setup sheet was somewhat deficient in their explanations. I use a satellite receiver plus a TV antenna for local channels. There was no instruction given for selecting an external antenna with the TV. I found out myself that by pushing the Input button on the remote several times and selecting "TV", it actually selected the external antenna. There were no explicite instructions for connecting my satellite receiver HDMI output to the TV. Consequently, when I connected the HDMI cable and also the output coax connector from the satellite receiver to the TV antenna connector on the back of the TV set, I was never able to receive signals off of my antenna. Also, I could only get Mono Sound, not Stereo. I sent Sharp (the manufacture of the TV set) an e-mail 2 days ago asking about the problems, but have not received a reply from them yet. The set has a picture setting for "Home" or "Store". I found that selecting the "Store" setting gave a brighter picture with a tad more contrast although the instruction sheet did not detail that information. The TV set carries the Blue Star Energy Efficientcy Rating. It draws 165 watts in operation. My old 25 inch TV with a CRT picture tube drew 80 watts in operation. That means that this set uses more than double the energy than my old TV set. This set uses mercury vapor tubes to produce the light required to produce the brightness for the LCD panel. I'm sure those lamps use most of the 165 watts to operate the TV set. I found the contrast ratio of 7000/1 to be good. However, I still had to position the contrast setting with the remote control to almost maximum to attain sufficient contrast for a good picture. Overall, I would still recommend buying this set. For the money, when it's set up correctly, it has in my opinion, as good or better picture than it's competitors sets.

I went to Wal-Mart to buy the 32'' Phillips, but after talking to the clerk I decided to go with this model. It had the highest contrast at the best price! I absolutely love it. I have read other reviews that say the sound quality it poor, but it sounds great in my bedroom. So far i haven't found anything about this product I don't like.

After loads of comparison shopping, I decided to go to Wal-Mart to see for
myself. Size of the unit was a big facter in my decision. I needed a TV
that was sleek and would fit my wall unit, but also have some picture
size. This TV is perfect for the space I have. The picture is
amazing...I love it! However, I was a little disappointed that the TV
does not display the time. I was used to having that feature on my old
TV. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would not hestitate to recommend it...You will not be disappointed.

We bought this tv recently and it literally blew my mind. The picture quality rivals our 52" DLP we got about two years ago. I'm very happy with the how easy it was to set up and how the framing for it is a nice, sleek shiny black. The price is right, too!

I have been debating for quite some time on what tv to get. I know I wanted a 32", LCD, HDTV. But as far as brand and price point I was not sure. I originally was going to get a samsung, but then I noticed this sharp on display. Looking between the two there was no contrast, the Sharp had a clearer, brighter, sharper (no pun intended), and overall more vibrant image than the Samsung. It could be chalked up to just needing to change the settings on the Samsung, but that was enough to sell me, and the cheaper pricepoint, the Samsung was around $680. So far I have used my Sharp to play my xbox 360, with the HDMI, and boy, does it make a difference. This is my first HDTV, and for anyone who is in the same boat I was in, this is the TV for you.
