Once we separated all the parts, it was not that difficult to put together. I just wish all the pieces had the predrilled holes. But other than that, the unit looks great, you can add additional pieces to it, which is wonderful, it actually grows with the child, and my grandchildren just love it!!! One is two, the other is three, and there is one on the way, so the baby swing that can be added will be great.

Playset does take a lot of time to set up. Did all of the assembly myself with the exception of having help to put the swing beam in place. Have around 24-26 hours in the set up for one person. The weight of the swing beam does want to pull the support posts from their level position and make the fort lean but is otherwise quite sturdy. Did find it helpful to make notes on the many pages of assembly by labeling the posts and supports as to the direction that they would face in the yard before putting it together. Kids love the larger than normal fort. We're the highlight of the neighborhood. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.

This is a great swing set, I ordered it for my daughter's third birthday party, Aug. 16. It took four guys and about eight hours to have it ready in time for the party. A few bolts were missing, but other than that, its very nice. It provided great entertainment for my child's party. Also, I too had considered a rainbow swing set. I'm glad I ordered the gorilla play set.

So far this seems to be a great playset with good quality. Unless you have several people working on it, plan on an entire weekend for assembly. Regardless of your experience (or lack of it), there are a lot of holes to drill and screws to place. We do have a couple of hints:
1. Go through each box in the shipment ahead of time. We had several pieces that were damaged in shipment and one that was missing. Customer service at Gorilla Playsets was very helpful and sent out all of the replacement pieces within a week. It also really helps on assmebly day if all of the wood is laying out and organized. My husband thought I was nuts when he saw me labeling everything with Post-It notes, but he ended up thanking me several times.
2. The instruction manual that they sent us was in black & white. We ending up downloading it from Gollia's website and printing out in color....much easier to see what was going on (especially in the first couple of steps).
3. The first couple of steps for setting up the main fort were kind of confusing, but past that, everything went pretty smoothly. We also found a few errors in the instructions, but nothing that we couldn't figure out.
4. Plan on a run or two to Home Depot or Lowe's. Some of the hardware seemed to be defective....threading was damaged on several of the carrige bolts and the bolts that attach the tire swing beam were no where near long enough.
All in all, this playset seemed to be good quality and a good value. Gorilla Customer Service was very accomodating and helpful. We have no regrets in the purchase and would buy again if we had to do it all over.

I put this playset together alone, so it is not really necessary to have another person help you. But you will need a couple of 6ft+ A-frame ladders to aid you in raising the 10ft long swing beam. It's hecka heavy! Speaking of which, the swing beam was really the only problem part of this set. The carriage bolts that hold the swing brackets are horrible. They don't bite into the wood when hammered in and will just spin when trying to put on the lock nuts. They are also, for the most part, too short. The legs for the tire swing do not have the green plastic sleeve. The beam for the tire swing does and right now ours is so moist under it that it's dripping from the bolts. But enough negatives - the POSITIVES: all hardware is in individual, labeled plastic bags. The wood pieces, while not labeled are easy to figure out with the directions which tell you the dimensions of each piece you are using when you are using it. The kids love it. And, all in all, excluding the swing beam, it is pretty simple, though time consuming, to put together. Took me, alone, about 20 hours total. Couple of tips - you may need to cut the green sleeve on the beams around the holes in order to clear away wood chips caught underneath; before putting the carriage bolts through the beams try putting the lock nuts on the carriage bolts about an inch up and then remove them. When you install the carriage bolts into the beam that re-threading at the tip with the lock nut will help it go on easier and lessen the spinning on the bolt.

This playscape is absolutely beautiful. It took a lot of hard work and long hours for my husband to build. The only problem was some of the hardware was missing but luckily we picked some up at home depot for $20. My four year old son loves his "new house" so much and the outcome is great.

The set does have alot for the kids to play on, they seem to enjoy it. Make sure you have PLENTY of room for this, its quite huge.
We got some extra pieces, seem to go to a ladder that is on a different set. It was missing 1 piece to the picnic table, but we were able to use a different piece of wood & it is actually stonger now.
The wood is not as high quality as I expected. It scratches/dents very easily.
The set was moving back & forth quite a bit when the kids were swinging, so we switched the trapeze bar with a swing. Now the trapeze bar is nearest the fort & the swings are in the middle & the far end. That helped stablize the set. Also if you can set the posts into the ground, that will help alot to keep it from swaying.

It's a great product but it took two men, both with a lot of mechanical skills, twice as long as the Gorella website claimed it should. In addition, eight (8) of the bolts failed to engage the T-nuts due to warpage of the large beams. These were replaced with long carraige bolts and washers/nuts/thread covers. This required a trip to the hardware store. On the positive side, once it was finished and the kids started playing on it they LOVED it. It also turned out to be a magnet for new friends for our grandkids...surly a good thing.

This is an amazing activity center, but be prepared for a nightmare when assembling it. My husband, nephew, and a friend (all of whom are extremely talented handymen) said it was the worst job they had ever tackled. The instructions were confusing, the parts unnumbered, and the process exasperating. They managed to finish it in 8 hours, but said they would NEVER do it again. If you don't have any building experience, don't even attempt to assemble this product.

They weren't kidding when they said installation would likely take 2 people 12 hours.....when my husband and father were still poring over the same 4 posts after an hour or so, I knew we were in trouble. Once they got the main frame of it assembled though, it went much more smoothly, just time consuming. Now that it's assembled, it's sturdy, attractive, and has lots of different activities to keep my daughter occupied and engaged. Very impressed so far.

So far the product is great! We love it, the kids love it, it seems very sturdy, and it looks very nice in the yard! It took two adults about 12 hours to complete...we were missing a few lag bolts, a piece to the tic tac toe, and there is a gash in one of the beams, but nothing major! Their were just a few directions where you could have some slight confusion. The kids played on it all day today and yesterday. We had three adults and two children up in the fort area at one point in time and it was very solid! We originally looked at Rainbow playsets and I can clearly say I'm very glad we went with the Gorilla....same quality for half the price!!!

This is a heavy duty swingset at a great price! It took about 10 hours to set up, which my husband did all himself, but it was not too difficult. We were especially impressed with the heavy duty brackets and swing hardware.
The kids love all of the climbing opportunities and have spent several hours already on the swingset.
A good buy on a swing that should last quite a while!

A good product, with a lot of play areas for children and all very funtional. It appears to be very strong, but time will tell. For the most part, it was easy to assemble, but some parts need to be improved. For one thing, get rid of all carriage bolts, because they were almost impossible to tighten. In addition, the location of the carriage bolts posed no danger so a hex bolt would have worked just as well. A novice would have a hard time assembling the playset because a lot was assumed in the instructions. Such as, when to drill a pilot hole, and what size. (a pilot hole should be drilled for every screw and especially lag bolts) There's other minor irrations in the instructions, but you get the idea.
