This set had the best picture...brightness, color, contrast of all the sets on display in the store. But they were out of stock. The on-line order came on time and the set required no set-up other than plugging in and connecting the cable. Picture quality was as good or even better than the set in the store. And for a price 2-400 dollars less than other sets! The built-in speakers are just adequate.

The picture is very nice but the sound system is below average. You can only adjust the "tone", there is no setting for bass or treble seperately. You can not turn surrond sound on or off either, just stereo or mono. The owners manual is shockingly short on details. The remote has very limited features. The highlight is high picture quality. If they bosted the sound system and added features to the remote, with a few more details on how to adjust the set outlined in the owners manual, Sanyo would have big winner. Spend an extra $100 and get the complete package in another brand. I will be taking this one back.

This LCD was the brightest of them all at my local Wal Mart, but the real selling point for me was the amount of inputs on the back. Since I haven't upgraded my A/V receiver to an HDMI receiver, I needed a way to retro-fit all my current entertainment equipment to our new TV. This LCD has all the input options you'll need with room to grow. I'll admit, when I got it home and hooked up the cable box, I was NOT blown away by the grainy picture quality. However, once I upgraded my cable box to a High Def cable box, I was ecstatic. Even better, I bought an HDMI cable for my XBOX 360. WOW. This LCD is big, bright and worth the money. My only complaint is that the casing is satin and not glossy, but that's just me. I wanted shiny, but after you watch T.V. on this, who cares if it's shiny or not?!?

This Sanyo 46 inch flat screen television is the first flat screen, high definition t.v. I have ever owned. It is crystal clear and has excellent sound. Simple to use, yet it has several useful features. Xbox 360, Wii and Playstation2 look great on it. The only reccommendation I would give is that you should trade in your cable box for an HD cable box. For most cablevision plans, the upgrade to an HD box is free. Most of your frequently watched channels come in high definition and it definitly makes a big difference in picture quality. Overall, Sanyo is a great brand for the every-day television watcher!!!

OR IS IT A 2500:1 OR BETTER YET, A 3500:1. DO THEY REALLY KNOW? THE DESCRIPTION STARTS WITH A 2000:1, THE BOX SAID 2500:1, THEN THE SPEC SAID 3500:1. REGARDLESS, THE TV IS WORTHLESS. The color and quality of the picture is GREAT!! My husband and I love this Tv and would not change it for the world. The only thing that I would recomend is make sure you get a DVD HomeTheater system that plays BLUERAY. Also, when you get a flate screen you have to get an HD Reciever in order to recieve HD service.

OK we have had this TV for about 2 weeks now and it has not lived up to our expectations. We were so excited to get everything hooked up but was very disappointed almost immediately. We have the HD reciever through the cable company so no one can say this guy was probably just watching regular TV and not HD, but complaining for no good reason. Oh no. We got all the hook ups and HDMI cables, etc. The TV is advertised as 1080P right? It is definately in 1080I. At some point when I was randomly hitting buttons on the remote, I came to a screen that said plain as day 1080I which is NOT what I thought we purchased. The TV itself along with the box it came in clearly displays 1080P everywhere. So the picture is nowhere near as good as it SHOULD be. Also we thought we were having bad luck with 2 different movies when the sound kept going incredibly staticy like a cell phone with very bad reception. But sure enough as I was just now trying to watch Hells Kitchen, it went all crazy again on me. The TV itself also gets very very warm. The heat radiates about 2 feet away from it. My point folks....... my gut instinct told me to spend the extra $200 and get a Sony Bravia. I was very hard headed thinking I could use that extra money towards a blu-ray player. I should have listened to my gut. Thankfully, Wal-Mart has a very generous return policy and I will be exchanging this set for that Sony Bravia that I really wanted in the first place.

I purchased this TV last night. I took it home, hooked it to my DishNetwork HDTV and within 5 minutes of watching a live NBA game on ESPN I was disgusted with this unit.
The picture is very grainy/pixelated and when objects move on the screen, their motion trail is seen (often known as motion blur). I instantly got a headache from watching this poor picture.
My wife doesn't have a sensitive eye to these defects, but they were far more than I could tolerate. If you may be sensitive to these - I WOULD NOT BUY THIS TV!

Do not purchase this tv. The picture quailty is terrible. We attempted to watch a program that was broadcast in HD and it looked as if we were watching the program through a curtain. Returned this unit and exchanged for a Vizio 42" and never looked back. If you want a paper weight buy the Sanyo. If you want true hd stay away from this tv.

Purchased this LCD yesterday after about 2 months of searching and reading reviews and I am pleased with this buy. Got it home, took out the box and the stand was already installed. Only took five minutes to hook all my equipment up to it ( it took me about two hours to put tv stand together). Made a few ajustments to picture and it was just like the picture in store. Also purchased a Phillips Up-converting DVD player, picture looks great!!! Just make sure that you use HDMI cables. All in all, I am very happy and I highly recommend this LCD. Don't forget to get that extended warranty.

I brought this TV alittle over a week ago and i have to admit i was kind of iffy about buying this one. I went into the store in hopes of buying a 52" but they were sold out. I really wanted a big screen so bad i decied to go down to the 46" sanyo and it have got to be the best purchase ive made in awhile the picture is alittle unclear but if you buy the HDMI cord you'll see a big difference. I was so pleased with te overall picture i went out and brought a 32" sanyo the next day. The remote is as easy as a piece of cake, the manual walks you through the initial installation process. i highly recommend this product.

I spent awhile staring at TV's in the wal-mart store and decided on this tv. It seemed to be a pretty good picture in the store but when I got it home pictures of people were horrible. I recently bought this tv and I would def reccommend it. I was having trouble deciding between this model and a Philips 47". I decided to pic the Sanyo because of the good size speakers it has. I must say I made the right choice. When I first got the TV the color was too bright and I was afraid I had made a bad choice. Then I adjust ed the picture manually and the color looks great now! I like how the picture adjusting menu displays on top of the picture so you can see the picture as you are adjusting the color...makes it much easier to get it just right.
Some reviews have mentioned that the up/down channel buttons scroll through the inputs as well. I actually like this feature on TV's because if you loose the original remote universal remotes are hard to program the "INPUT" button. With this feature you don't have to worry because you can change the channel to get to the inputs. If you are using a cable box this isn't even an issue at all since you would be using the cable remote anyways
One thing I wish this did have is a way to label the inputs. For example, label HDMI3 "TV", etc. My old HDTV has that and it is a nice feature but by no means should it be a reason not to buy this tv

I just bought this HDTV for my upcoming condo. This is my first HDTV purchase and I have been looking at them for awhile. I just tested my xbox360 on it and wow! amazing picture. I need to get and HDMI cable for my xbox.
PROS: Good price! amazing picture, it was one of the ones that stood out in the store. 3 HDMI inputs. Energey Star compliante since my condos only energey source is electric was one featur I wanted.
CONS: The only thing was a little weird was the remote because I tried to change the channel button and it switches the input selection. I'm not really going to be using this TV yet until a month from now When I move in to my new place. I will be looking into some source of HDTV channels either digital cabel or satellite.
In conclusion from what I seen so far this tv is great for the price!

I was thinking about buying a Vizio but they never had the ones I liked in stock so I ended up with the Sanyo 46". It was easy to get out of the box and set up. I aslo bought a DVD upconcerter at the same time thinking I could just plug in my COX coax cable into it and then use HDMI from there, that's how much I knew about HD. Anyway, I learned real quick that COX charges an extra 17 dollars a month for HD plus a 15 dollar activation fee plus $29.95 if you want them to hook it up for you. I plugged in the coax cable into the back of the TV and got it set up real quick and easy. The picture was so awsome, I'm wondering if I should even get HD. My eyes are not that great from an eye injury long ago so HD probably wouldn't make a lot of difference to me. If my kids really want the HD, I might think about it, but right now, I'm thinking this TV is so awesome as is, who cares if I'm using so little of it's potential. Bottom line, I recommend this product.
