It features a tuner that receives both ATSC digital channels and NTSC analog channels. The digital tuner has Digital Clear QAM technology so it can receive unscrambled digital cable channels. A full complement of video inputs and audio outputs are provided. A PC/Mac input also allows alternative use as a computer monitor. And the detachable tilt base stand allows it to be wall mounted with an optional wall mount kit (not included). Note: You must have a source of HD programming in order to take full advantage of an HDTV. Otherwise, the picture quality of an HDTV without an HD source may not be much better than that of a standard-definition TV. Please contact your local cable or satellite TV provider for details on how to upgrade to HD programming.

This is a decent TV for the money, just don't expect the picture to be super high quality. The picture is very good with digital HD signal but poor with none HD signal. We are using this in out 5th wheel toy hauler and it will be fine for that application.

I have no real complains about this TV. It works fine and the picture and sound are very good. It is lightweight and small, just what I needed to have more room on the shelf this TV is standing on. If I had to complain about one thing it would be all those choices of plug ins. That gets a little bit confusing but at least we did not have to buy an additional cable "plug in cadget" because all we hooked up is one playstation and one VCR-DVD player. If you have more than that you may have to buy addtnl. cadgets, like we had to on our big screen TV.

I bought this tv because it was in the price range I was wanting and it has v-chip. What they fail to tell you is that the v-chip is NOT password protected. Do I have to ask "WHAT'S THE POINT???!!!!." I wanted v-chip to block out unwanted content from my 13 year old son. It will never work if it is not password protected. He will be reprogramming it in no time. I guess it will be a returned TV!!!!

This is my first HDTV. I bought this because of the digital change that's coming. So far its really a great TV. I hooked it up with the rabbit ears from my old little kitchen TV. Works fine. I don't get some of the local channels on the digital tuner, but do on the analog tuner. My thinking is that those channels have not switched to digital or HD yet. I'm not an expert on the subject so I'm just guessing on that part. I did purchase a new Phillips integrated antenna, but that didn't make any difference on the reception. So I took that back and am using the rabbit ears. The sound is great, the picture is wonderful. Even using it with my old VCR (for now) and that works well also. Of course, taping in analog, but that's ok. I read all of the reviews on this TV as well as others before purchasing and those were my deciding point to purchase this TV. The remote is a little hard to handle if its on the counter and not held because its sort of rounded on the bottom. But once you become aware of that, its not a problem for long. This is a great TV and would recommend it to everyone.

My first HDTV and I like it very much. The manual could be written in a more easlily understood way especially if you haven't hooked up a new TV recently. I have Dish satellite service and also use an over air antenna for some local stations. Getting all this hooked up and operating properly is not difficult but does take some patience. Sanyo customer service leaves much to be desired. Long delays on hold and a website that leaves much to be desired. Wal-Mart needs to tell Sanyo to improve this.

This was a great purchase and was easy to set up. I first researched this brand of TV, then decided Wal Mart had the best deal via site to store. It arrived faster than anticipated. It took me all of 5 minutes to set up which included inserting the batteries in the remote, attaching my antique antenna then turning it on and waiting for the digital channel set up. The weight is light, the picture and color are fabulous and the sound is very good. A good product for a competitive price. I'm good to go and get more channels now than before even though I don't have cable!

Ive had the tv since Christamas & so far so good. The sound has been good. Picture is fine for a tv in my bedroom. With the plasma screens like this if youre at a certain angle it will have a glare or darkness to the picture. But I have my tv up on a wall mount I got here off Walmart and it really is nice & helps a lot with that problem by adjusting the angle. Id recommend it, Its mostly so nice to save space. I love it.

After reading what seems like a million reviews on TVs, I chose this one as it appeared to be excellent value; however, the one I got was a dud. It would only run 5 minutes before losing the picture. Turn it off and wait 10 minutes for it to cool down and turn back on - same story. The customer service rep told me to return the TV. The sound is as good as everyone says, the picture (when I had it) was somewhat dark even after adjustment. Didn't want to go through this hassle again so bought a Phillips from the store ($40 more). Sound is excellent and the picture more to my liking.

I wanted a small, nice looking digital tv for our bedroom to replace my ancient little Sony. (I felt very disloyal replacing that ugly little gem because it's been so reliable over the years.)
I love this Sanyo!
I'm a techno-phobe and was clueless about a lot of what's in the user's manual; they always assume you know the terminology. But I'm just using it as a stand-alone TV, and was able to figure out on my own how to turn it off and on, change channels and volume, and use the sleep feature.
I was stunned with the quality of the picture and the number of stations it picks up. This TV is not yet connected to satellite or cable, and I think the picture is as good as our big Sony HDTV Bravia on DirectTV. It's clear, crisp, and the color is wonderful. The quality of the sound is great, also.
So...if you want an attractive TV with a great picture, quality sound, nice remote, and at a very reasonable price, I think you'll be very happy with this one.

This is our first digital TV and we are thrilled with the picture quality. We've had it for a month and are very pleased. The set up was incredibly simple right out of the box, attach rabbit ears (that was used with analog TV), turn it on, wait while it searches for channels and voila - ready to go. There are some signal issues when planes go over but that was expected in our area when using rabbit ears. There is only one VHF channel that we can't get in digital - but it's signal is better in analog than it was on my old TV! This is a TV for a smaller room - we use it on our home office. The sound quality is not great but certainly adequate for our needs.
