I had these curlers when I was 15 (I'm 42 now) and they finally just stopped heating. So I bought another set and they get super hot. As soon as the last one gets rolled up I start taking the first one out. Talk about fast curling! There may be a learning curve for new users to get the exact type of curl you want. But the worst that can happen is too curly.

I seldom write reviews stumbled on this just browsing Wal-Mart products I highly recommend this product if the quality is still the same. I discovered the Conair Hot Sticks curlers decades ago! Still have mine bought 2 then I have long hair I use a product called Pump n Curls. With my hair which is fine I sq out a 3x3 approx depends on thickness of ur hair. Spray w/Pump n Curl then twist length of hair to end THEN make sure the ends of hair are smooth and wrap on curler starting from from tip to top of curler keeping hair twisted as you spiral wrap hair up curler then back down spiral if needed. GREAT out come the curl lasts trick slowly unwrap hair let rest a moment then work from bottom to top using your fingers to gently separate the curls. Lightly spray w/pumping curls by L'oreal Studios. L'oreal pumping curls not stiff hair natural feeling to touch. I used mine almost daily and for over 4 yrs straight still work. Haven't curled in yrs forgot I had them. Takes patience and better yet get a friend to help. Worth the investment and the more you twist the hair the better the curl.

I love this product! I already have naturally curly hair and the Hot Sticks just make my hair look like I've had a professional spiral perm. I only have to leave them in for 30 minutes and I have a tight spiral curl. Great price too. The Hot Sticks quickly heat up and now that I've gotten faster at putting them in my hair I like how easy they are to use and there aren't extra clips to deal with. This hairsetter is all I will be using from now on.

Great product. I had one like this back in the late 80s, early 90s, and it was better quality with a hinged lid. Since this newer version seems somewhat less than what I used to have, I gave it a "good" for quality. It still is a great product and curls my fine blonde hair in 30 minutes. I tried regular rollers and the clips didn't stay on my hair, so I decided to try these again and I wasn't disappointed! It adds body to my hair and gives nice bouncy curls. :)

I purchased this to use on my daughters fine hair for her dance recital. I needed something that would curl her hair in ringlets and that could be done in as little amount of time as possible and that her hair would stay that way for a long time. I purchased these rollers after seeing some reviews on YouTube.com. When I got the set I tried them on my daughters hair and I am so happy (she is very happy) with the results. They curl her hair exactly the way she wants. I took very little time to heat up and when I was rolling her hair the hot sticks were a little warm to the touch but definitely not burning my fingers like other hot rollers I have had. I let her hair set for about 30 minutes. Her hair was in the perfect little ringlets that she wanted and stayed in for the rest of the day ( I did use a little bit of hairspray). I am very happy with my purchase!!! They are inexpensive and do what I need them to do without burning my hands or your head.

We just bought some to use on my 8yr olds hair. She has medium/long FINE HAIR, so it is VERY hard to use a curling iron without risk of damage or burn!
... These are great to use on WET or DRY hair ... comfy to leave in overnight if not wrapped to tight!
and curl HOLDS!
She now takes pride in her bouncy hair, instead of long stringy drab hair!

Bought this to add curls to my chin length bob. Terrible product. Claims ease of use and that hair sticks to curler easily. Both are not true. Tried using several times. Hair does not stick to curlers. Curlers continuosly fall out of hair. When curlers lock into place they have a curved pattern to them which causes them to want to unravel. They don't stay locked in. The curls come out looking kinky and unnatural. Really a poor product and I'm surprised they are still on the market. The only good thing about them is that they heat up quickly. Needless to say, they are being returned.

A lot tighter curls than I was looking for. My hair holds curl very well and when I took the curlers out I went from really long hair (mid back) to a really cool above my shoulder fro-- (which I kind of liked) :), but wasn't the look I was going for. :)
Depending on the kind of curls your looking for-- this might work for you. Definitely curls the hair-- No problem there! :) But I won't be using this product anymore, I'll be looking for something more fitting for the look I'm going for.

These were very good curlers for the price I paid. The first time I used them they didn't curl as well as I liked but then I let them heat up longer the second time I had to use them and it went much better for me and the curls were tighter as well as longer lasting

I absolutley LOVE these Hot Sticks. I have EXTREMELY FINE, THIN, VERY SOFT hair and ALL other rollers/curlers would either get STUCK in my hair or WOULDN'T HOLD the curl as these Hot Sticks do. I would and have recommended these to all my lady friends. GREAT PRODUCT.

I ordered these so that I could style my 1920's-style bob in a more formal way. The product is great and really affordable, but it is really tough to get my hair to wrap around the rollers and stay on them. I have thick, silky hair, so I'm not sure why it doesn't want to stay wrapped up. The rollers stay closed really well once you get them in place, which I loved. No more roller clamps!! Hot Sticks create great curls and body (if you need it), and I am glad that I have them. If I can ever get my hair to cooperate, I am sure I will love them even more.

I have used the Hot Sticks for years. They make really tight curls to my long hair. After an hour or so, due to the high humidity we have in South Florida, my hair relaxes to a wonderful soft natural curl which I get so many compliments on. I love my Hot Sticks!
