The good is the camera is easy to use. The bad is that the shutter is very slow so my object has moved by the time it takes the picture. Pictures quality is not as good as other cameras I have used. It also has very bad battery usage. I am constantly changing the batteries and it is not working when I really need it. Get a camera you can plug in and charge.

I really liked this camera when I first got it but the longer I have it and use it the more things I find I don't like. Its hard to get a picture to come out clear and not hazed. By the time it takes the picture the moment has past, or the kids have moved. From a leading company like Nikon I definitely was expecting something a lot better. On the positive side it is easy to use and feels very durable. I really like the color and it doesn't eat up the batteries like most cameras do.

We received this as a gift. It is easy to use and the face photos are OUTSTANDING. Out of 300 pictures, we deleted less than 10. I had an older digital and it was useless. This Nikon Coolpix L18 has really long bettery life and it is EASY to use. It is my husband's camera, but I use it at every opportunity. Infact I am purchasing another as a gift.

This is my first digital camera and I love how easy this one is to use. I was able to take pictures and edit them immediately. The software provided is awesome. I am extremely pleased with this product and would definitely recommend to others. One other recommendation is to go ahead and buy a memory card since the camera doesn't hold many pictures.

It's so easy to use, I never had to read the instructions. Same thing when installing the software, no instructions needed. Beautiful pics, I absolutely love the 3" screen, which was my whole reason for choosing this camera. You won't be disappointed.

I bought this camera only a week ago, but I absolutely love it! I had done some research before buying it and decided that it had the features I wanted for a very reasonable price. It is very easy to use and I love the anti-shake function. My husband has another brand of camera that costs twice as much which also has an anti-shake function, but whenever I take pictures with his camera they turn out blurry. I also like the fact that I can take the SD card and slide it into my computer to load the pictures without having to use the software that comes with the camera. I already have a photo shop program on my computer and didn't want to have to install a new one. By using the card I didn't have to. So far I've only taken pictures of my cat, my dog and things around my house, but the pictures have all turned out better than I expected. Now I am eagerly anticipating taking pictures of my new granddaughter who was born on 7/14/08! I have recommended this camera to my Mom, my sister and my daughter. I also recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality, easy to use, inexpensive camera that sports one of the most trusted names in photographic equipment. This Nikon rocks!

this camera was easy to use. The pictures taken outside were good but all of the indoor pictures were blurry. I tried every setting and read the manual front to back but nothing helped to get red of the bluriness on the indoor pictures.

It's absolutely great ... great pictures, small, very large screen (don't have to put on my glasses to see the picture), can shoot many pictures one after the other, and can shoot more than a few pictures without having to put in new batteries.

I've had my Nikon for about a week now, and I must say that it has surpassed my expectations. I bought the camera while on vacation in Las Vegas, and I wanted a camera to have clear pictures, especially at night while on the Vegas strip. When deciding on a camera I narrowed it down too either Nikon or Sony. After talking to a Wal-mart assoc, I decided on Nikon. I am very happy about my purchase. I previously owned a Sony Cybershot, before it was stolen, and felt I needed to go back to Sony, only b/c I knew how to operate it, but after having this Nikon for a few days, I'm glad I chose this one. This camera has everything that my Sony didn't, such as face detection, d-lighting (for dark pics), as well as panamoric, which is really neat. Now I feel like I'm a "real" photographer. Also the LCD is HUGE, and the pictures are very crisp and clear. Another plus is the video; the video looks and sounds like a real video camera. I love my camera, and carry it everywhere with me. I'll upload some pictures tonight as well. I almost forgot, this camera has a continous pic funtion that is really neat, where you can take up to 16 pic at one time.
