I really like this camera. My first camera was a Kodak 8 MP. Two yrs. ago I bought a Polariod 10 MP... The shutter speed was very slow. We was looking for a new camera and ran across this Kodak 12 MP. It's great!!!

I really wanted a V series camera. This one is not it uses ordinary AA batteries. It did not feel right and the quality picture was not as good as my 530V camera. The shutter that opens out is sticking but still has the best pictures and it is metal and sturdy. This one is not. I returned it for a full and friendly refund. One of the really nice things about Walmart.

I bought this camera after I lost my dad's camera so I could replace it with the same exact model. It still runs just as well as the one that I lost.
This is coming from someone who is usually camera-confused and often unable to work/figure out regular cameras:
Pros: A variety of lighting/etc options, very high quality when transferred to the computer, holds up to 8GB SD cards (as far as I know; it could hold more), is pretty sturdy (I've dropped it so many times and it worked just fine), and lasted over a year in top condition.
Cons: The batteries are hard to come by; you have to buy a special, more expensive type OR, to save money, buy Kirkland Alkaline batteries. (Make sure you buy it bulk though, because the battery runs down on those pretty quick because they're not lithium like they're supposed to be.) Pictures look a little grainy on the camera sometimes but once transferred to a computer they are excellent quality. Nothing else really.
Overall a longlasting sturdy product that gives great picture quality in various types of lightings. Good buy.

I had a Kodak camera and was very satisfied so I naturaly wanted another for my wife so I bought the Kodak Z1285 expecting the same performance or better. I was extremely disappointed, We used the camera to record a grandsons event and were very unhappy with the pictures. All the pictures were grainy, and the batteries died before the event was over, about 45 minutes, I had heard this camera was power hungry but this was not acceptable. The only thing good about this experience was the service I received from Walmart when I returned the camera

I have had a kodak Easy Share camera for about 5 years. Recently I left that camera where it could be knocked in the sand by one of the horses making the lense not open. I had a trip planned to TN in 5 days and needed a new camera fast. Since the closest Wal Mart is about 45 miles from me I went on line and found this one. I ordered it with a next day delivery and it was here the next day. It is a great camera. I have not even begun to use all the features it affords but as for taking pictures you just point it, wait for the blue lines to turn green and there is your perfect picture. When I emailed vacation pictures out I had 3 people want to know what kind of camera I used. Ease of use and great pictures mean a lot to this almost 60 year old granddmother. Almost forgot the batteries last a long time if you will buy kodak camera batteries. I get have the rechareable ones.

I purchased this camera over a year ago, then $199 and still have not gotten quality photos from this 12.1 mp camera. This camera has a horrible delay time, can't take pictures indoors with low light, and many of the shots captured come out blury. The thing that irritates me most is I can't download my videos and view them anywhere so it is really a waste of time. I really expected more from Kodak. I will say that I have not had the issues with the batteries because I use the Energizer Lithium for digital camera's. Buyers beware you get what you pay for!

HAD THIS CAMERA AND LOVED IT. LEFT IT ON PLANE AFTER TAKING SOME GORGEOUS PICS AT SON'S WEDDING IN PUNTA CANA. BEAUTIFUL CLEAR PICS. AMAZING. NOW AM BUYING A SECOND ONE AS I LOVE THIS CAMERA. ONE FEATURE THAT NO OTHER HAS IS "UNDO DELETE" WHEN ONE ACCIDENTALLY ERASES A PICTURE, WHICH DOES HAPPEN. AS WITH ALL LCD SCREENS A BIT HARD TO SEE IN SUN.

I was unsure about the price and what the camera had to offer. I didn't think it would meet its own standards. It did and then some. I read all the reviews from every site that sold the camera and all the bad reviews were about Manufacture defects. I suggest trying it out and return it if there is a problem. The only problems I found with the camera are normal digital camera problems. (Have not found one that doesn't) The delay is the biggest problem and it is not really bad at all. It is faster than most cameras.
DECIDE FOR YOURSELF otherwise a great camera to own. I recommend this to everyone who needs or are looking for a camera!!!

This is one of the best Kodak cameras ever,I have a Kodak Easyshare C913 and its pink,it wasn't a bad camera,but this one take better pics,it has more settings,and etc,the quality is sooo great,and the pictures come out soooo clear,I switched my Samsung camera for this camera because Samsung camera freezes,and I half to take the batteries out to unfreeze,and also the picture quality wasn't great like this one,I'm in love with this Camera anybody that wants a great camera you should get one.

This camera is almost as good as the SLR cameras you just don't have the lenses, i have just been taking pictures of friends, my dog, my horses, and flowers. This camera is perfect if your just want good crisp pictures with out paying a price this is the camera for you.

Back in May, I was looking for an affordable camera. Especially, something with a lot of featues and a lot to offer. I only had it for a couple of months, but it takes some great pics and videos in HD. The only thing I need it to perfect my steady hand. My hands can get a little shaky but I think I need a special accessory such as a camera peg to get a better handle on the camera and to hold the camera with one hand especially recording video. I like the panoramic feature and I can't wait to test it out for 4th of July fireworks. It has a good response time with taken photos one snapshot at a time but also can take photos with the subject in motion up to 3 snapshots. It is almost like having DSLR camera but not quite. You don't have to pay a fortune for it. I think I made a decent buy. Time will tell.

I had this camera for over a year. My children recently dropped it on the open lens and knocked something loose. Needless to say I am now looking to buy a new digi cam and find myself seriously thinking about purchasing this one again.
I read thru some reviews here and was amazed to see what some people had to say. I have never had a battery eating issue with this camera. I invested in rechargeables and suggest the same to everyone. When I did find myself having to recharge the batteries more often then normal I purchased new rechargeables and found my other batteries were just too old and over used.
I have taken many many pictures at night with this camera. They usually turned out great. I am sure there would be a lighting issue at some point while using the zoom. That would only be do to the lack of flash. Pictures taken during a nice summer day are amazing! They have come out very clear.
The video recording I really never found myself using but my daughter loved it. The camera does allowing zooming while in this mode and there is no noise on the video's from the zoom.
Over all I have found this to be a great point & shoot camera and well worth the money. If you are looking for something easy to use this is it!
