Sony Sony - 900mhz Nursery Monitor and Receiver
The Sony Baby Call Nursery Monitor lets you keep an eye on the baby even when you are away from your baby. It has a 900 MHz monitor with receiver that helps you keep track of babys activities. The Sony 900mhz Nursery Monitor features the reliable five sound sensor activity lights that alerts you when the baby is making sounds or when the receiver is out-of-range or when the battery gets low. Use the belt clips to attach the baby monitor to your belt, and you can go on with your usual chores. The 900 MHz technology of the Sony Baby Call Nursery Monitor increases the coverage area, letting you work at further distances from your baby. The Sensor baby monitor has 27 channels that use FM transmission system with channel selector to locate the clearest channel that is free from interference. To eliminate extraneous background noise, and enhance clear transmission, the baby monitor uses voice activation mode.

I gave it a rating of 2 because it worked for awhile. After about 2 months, it started being "out of range", no matter where we had it. at 10 months, the battery died and I can't find another to replace it. Now it produces a crackling noise every 10 minutes or so. I would not recommend this monitor.

Got this monitor for my second child... Worked great for first week but then afterwards had to regularly change channels weekly otherwise if you passed in front of it it wold let out huge bouts of interference and static. Pain in the butt but it was a Christmas present so we just kept changing the channels. For the 3rd baby I pulled it out again and am now shopping for a new one. Just AWFUL! Tried to take the parent monitor in our bedroom last nights which our house is small and sitting closest to the door if the dog walked by it or if my husband changed position in bed it would let out huge static and beeps, finally gave up and brought the baby back in the bedroom with us. Do not waste your money!

I bought this monitor after reading it's reviews. It had (222) 5 stars rating. But my bad.. I think i got a faulty one. The receiver is noisy. It has alot of disturbance. I've changed the channels numerous times. But nothing helped. I'm going to return this monitor.

I bought this monitor to put in my sons room which is straight above our bedroom. The monitor clicks all night long no matter where I put it and beeps that it is out of range in the middle of the night. Taking it back. We already have the Graco monitor in our daughters room which was more expensive but well worth it!

I use this on a daily basis for my 6 week old son and I couldnt be happier. My sons room is on our third floor and even in the kitchen on the first floor it is clear as day. It has never failed me and is long distance range. I would recommend this to anyone!

Not the best baby monitor

We bought this monitor 2 years ago when our daughter was born. The only problems we have had is with interference when the garbage/recycling trucks come through our neighborhood. It clicks and has tons of static, which can be quite annoying @ 6:45am when your trying to sleep. The other problem is that occasionally it seems to have bad static/poor reception & I find myself moving it around on the table or twisting the cord certain ways for it to stop. This just started happening in the past 6 months & it wakes me up in the middle of the night with loud clicks & static. Overall the sound is great. We have a 2 story home & range is not a problem. We have no problems hearing our daughter in the middle of the night if she wakes up. No white noise at all. We are getting ready to have a second child & I will not be buying this brand of baby monitor again.

Ok first let me say that I have never felt the need to leave a bad review on anything, but I'm hoping to stop at least one person from buying these and being driven as crazy by them as I have been. These monitors are the worst! We had Fischer Price first and they worked great except that the battery on them stopped charging about two years into having them. We figured Sony makes other great products so the monitors must be good too. That was a bad assumption on our part. Basically, they have bad static and I find myself moving them around constantly to find a good spot. Taking it outside in the yard is not going to happen. It often sounds like the monitor in the movie Signs. My worst complaint is at night while I sleep the monitor either clicks or has these bursts of static that actually wake me from sleep. Having a baby wake you up is one thing but the monitor too? Do not wast your money, buy ANYTHING else!

This Monitor is a great buy for the price. Buying online and using ship to store is cheaper than buying it in store which was also a plus. We use it everyday for naps and when my 18 month old daughter goes to bed. Very clear sound no static. The voice activation works great, it doesn't miss anything. For the first couple of nights we worried about not being able to hear her if something happened or for some reason the monitor would not work, but the worries are gone because it's great and we can rest easy knowing it's there. The rechargeable battery works great as well I only have to charge it every 2 days. (as batteries don't last forever). I'm glad my first monitor choice was a success! :)

DO NOT BUY. HORRIBLE range signal and beeps and cracks all the time for no reason. I cannot believe we paid for these. I read the reviews too and there were so many good ones and we did NOT have the same experience. The most annoying frustrated pieces of junk! SOOOOOO disappointed!

I was unsure about ordering these or any other monitors from fear of getting nothing but bad sound and static that most carry but these are perfect very little static if any sometimes. The only downside is sometimes the range button will beep annoyingly but most times it stops within a couple minutes. If your looking for quality an decent working baby monitors then i would definetly recommend these.

I do love this product however the one I purchased from Walmart had already been opened and was used. The product was dirty like it had been used and then returned. Also it was missing the charger. I ended up returning and buying the same product at another location.

This is the worst waste of money ever. The range may be good but I can't go into the garage (which is within 50 yards from the baby monitor) without it going out of range. It's almost like it was meant to be used either within the house or without any extra blockage. Plus, it wakes me up almost EVERY night with this god awful static noise and beeping. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It is absolutely HORRIBLE. The only reason I still use it is because we don't have the money to get a better more expensive one.

I bought this monitor to use around the house and in our backyard. First off, whenever it is used in the house, with the exception of the basement, we get major squealing feedback. But the minute i step outside with it, the range alarm starts beeping.
I have a 1,100 sq. foot house so this should not be a problem. I will be returning it.

We need a monitor for our 2 year olds room after she was moved into a room farther away from us. We only use it at night. The first night it was great! The second night it started beeping in the middle of the night saying it was out of range. Nodody was moving either piece. The next night it started beeping out of range again... multple times. I then changed the frequancy. It still beeps. Last night at 3 am it started making this massive static noise. I'm not sure how it can be fine and "in range" for half the night and THEN develope a problem. We are not where near the maximum distance. This is going back to the store.

This monitor was set up correctly with the reciever and the monitor as close to eachother as possible. I neeeded it to do a range of about 20-30 feet and go through 2 walls-- baby's wall and Mommy's wall. I needed a very basic monitor right? In spite of all my repositioning and changing channels, this product would BEEP because it was out of range. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? If I could put the 2 pieces any closer, I wouldnt need a baby monitor at all! DONT BUY!!! I have been VERY satisfied with the VTECH monitor with a similar cost. The VTECH has no white noise AND you can talk to your baby from the parent unit. AMAZING BUY VTECH!
