I bought this item for my husband who is a Class A Truck Driver. He loves it. The only thing he said that would make this product excellent was if gave him more advance notice when he had to take a different fwy.

I like how easy Magellan Maestro 4210 GPS Auto Navigation System is installed. Once out of the package , it gets plugged into the car and is on. The Magellan Maestro 4210 guides drivers to their destination via voice prompts and on-screen prompts. My previous GPS verbally reminded me in feet as direction turns. Where this new one only gives me verbal reminder in miles. It signals the turn with a ring tone when the car is at the intersection which doesn't give much time to react. So I watch for the turn approaching on the screen.
I like the AAA TourBook guide. I especially like the showing of upcoming gas stations and banks on the route. I would recommend this GPS to anyone. It is colorful, easy to install and understand.

Magellan Maestro 4210 was given its first workout when I recently used it in a large city. It was great! It is easy to learn how to use! City maps no longer are my way to find an address. Magellan is the only guide I will use from now on.

Previously owned Magellan Roadmate 700. Plugged it in and used it right out of the box. 4210 took about ten minutes of reading but that's all. Very simple. I like the larger screen and the night time display is off the hook. It's very slim and compact (it goes right in the case and in my purse). My only complaint is that I can't change the voice from female to male. I have already suggested this unit to three friends and two of them bought it and were equally satisfied. I'm soooooooo glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews.

This product is great! I am recently retired and looking forward to using this when I travel. Using it around my city hasn't gotten me lost yet (even though I know where to go). Good product for the money. And the AAA feature is nice too!

AAA Tourbook. Period. I've tried Garmin and TomTom also. Both of them have some neat customizable features that the Magellan does not (voices, color schemes, etc.) HOWEVER the Magellan stands head and shoulders above them simply because of the AAA Tourbook. For example, searching for a Point of Interest on the Garmin or TomTom, they will only give you the name/category of the attraction. Magellan tells you what it's all about, including admission costs, hours of operation and how much time you should anticipate being there! INCREDIBLE!

Magellan makes a good product. The 4210 is easy to program, has a good mountig kit included, and the wide screen is much easier to view than the smaller screens. My only complaint is the tie-in with AAA. If you are a member of AAA it could be very helpfull. I just received the unit and haven't tried it on the road yet, but have programmed 4 trips into it already and I am set to go! I have a Toyota Tundra and chose to mount the unit in the tray in front of the center storage compartment.

A very helpful product. Return time to the correct route in case you missed a turn is short, a feature that is important to any portable GPS system. And the workmanship and reliability is excellent. Only important features are included. A good buy for the price. Will definitely recommend this product to people I know.

I fell in love with my mothers magellan and HAD TO HAVE ONE! i am glad I waited to get this one.
It is so simple to use right out of the box, as was my moms...must be a magellan thing.
The only negative is that it doesn't recognize some roads or businesses (POI) that I have needed. This may be due to the fact that I haven't "updated" the info yet.
If you are in the market to buy a GPS, look no further than a Magellan! :-)

The purchasing experience from Walmart.com was excellent. Unfortunately I had to return the product. The screen locked up. Being computer savey, I tried the normal things like re-boot and reset with no luck. Due to time I purchased the same item from another supplier and it is fine.

Great product for the price. The 4.3" screen makes it very easy to read. Only con is that it doesn't announce the street names; too many pros to list. Very satisfied with this GPS. Didn't want to get top of the line, but didn't want to get the bottom of the barrel either. I wasn't disappointed. Tried it around town and the directions were excellent, direct and the verbal was easy to follow. Would recommend the Maestro 4210 to anyone, whether you're a newbie like me or a seasoned GPS user. It is great to be able to be on the road and not miss things because you don't have directions.

The unit was very easy to use, it did have some quirks though, it's not to be unexpected though. Before you take it to parts unknown, make sure you use it over a known route first, the shortest route may take you through cowpastures, and freeway routes may take you miles away, you have to sometimes jump from one to the other, this is okay if you know the route, but then you wouldn't need this then either. It does calculate the route well, and you can verify it to see if it's the one you want to take. The voice is easily understood, and it always gets you there. Be prepared to print out 65 pages of documents if you need them, they don't come preprinted. But the unit is mostly a click and go type setup and I haven't really had a call to use the docs. I like it, I don't think I could of picked a better unit. I'm sure the same quirks exist on all the units.. I give it a thumbs up and recommend it to anyone.
