I was forced to start using this monitor in 2007 when I developed BP problems after giving birth. My hubby went and bought this for me while in the hospital and I've been using it since. It's been 4 years and it's still running well. I love that it also records your heart rate and/or if you have an irregular heartbeat. I feel confident and secure in the readings. There are so many good features on this machine. Well worth the money!

Very Decent Blood Pressure Monitor

Bought this to replace an old unit that a neighbor "borrowed." Glad I gave it to him. The new one is quiet, runs on batteries if you wish, seems accurate(I will have it checked at the doctor's office), and is very quiet. The latter may seem unimportant but if you want to use it when everyone else is asleep it's a good thing.
Features were as outlined in the listing. Would I like some of the more advanced features? Sure. Would I pay for them. I guess not. That's why I bought this one. The one thing I would like better is if the unit could do multiple readings without hitiing the on-off button. Seems silly to wait for it to go through a sort of boot up process for each reading.
All in all I would buy the same thing again.

Only complaint is the larger size of the product, but overall this product has been great. I am a nurse and use it daily on obese patients. The cuff is too small for them, but it fits their forearm fine. It works pretty quick and very rarely shows error (unlike my old wrist cuff). Haven't had to change the batteries yet either and I have had it for about a month now.

This is a great unit that uses batteries or direct current. It works best on direct current. Will work with batteries but more errors occur with battery power. Nice little unit and does the job.

BOUGHT THIS BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINE ABOUT 10 DAYS AGO MY WIFE TOOK HER BLOOD PRESSURE THREE TIMES A DAY . SHE HAD TO GO TO THE DOCTOR FOR HER BLOOD PRESSURE CHECK. MY WIFE TOOK THE BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINE TO THE DOCTORS OFFICE WITH HER THE NURSE TOOK HER PRESSURE WITH THEIR MONITOR THEN TOOK THE PRESSURE WITH THE ONE WE BOUGHT THE READINGS WERE JUST A LITTLE DIFFERENT. THE DOCTOR TOLD HER TO KEEP USING THE BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINE. ITS A GOOD ONE . ITS EASY TO USE AND I LIKE HOW IT AVERAGES OUT THE READINGS IF DONE WITHIN 10 MINUTES.

Seemed to work fine. Took it to my Doctor and we ran two tests. Both times the reading on the Omron meter was 20 mmHg higher than that obtained by the Doctor. I returned the monitor for a full refund.

Happy with the features and price, but after owning for 2 months, monitor began givng false readings. Checked with Dr. office, and another Omron monitor, and mine was givng readings as much as 20 points higher on Systolic. Will be returning. Will try a replacement of same product.

This product is really easy to use. Has memory to keep track of old readings and averages out well. But I'm going to return this and stick with manual since that is more accurate when compared to these electronic machines. But always a best buy for those who want automated machines.

Great product easy to use. Except the instructions say to have the arrow on the blood pressure sleeve point straight down the center of the inside of the inside of the arm as shown in the diagram.
My doctor and the tech. said that all units say that and it is wrong. The arrow should be over the artery so the sensor can pick up the blood flow as that is what the sensor works off. When we did that the doctors office blood pressure reading and the pressure from the Omron unit were very close in readings. Doing the way the unit says caused my readings to be low.

Bought this for my father online (was cheaper than in store price?) - and received in about 2 days with standard shipping (great deal already, right!?)...
Very simple to operate, has memory for 60 pressure readings, LARGE & EASY TO READ DISPLAY. My father is 71, has poor vision, & doesn't read much English - and it's SUPER easy for him to take his own blood pressure, see & doccument the results - very simple to use.
We've had it for about 2 months, use it twice daily and have had no problems with it. Seems sturdy and is accurate enough as we compared its results against what the in-home nurse's readings were and they were Spot On!
Great product. Super Value.

I bought this in the store and paid a bit more than the online price. It seemes to give accurate and consistent readings. I also bought 2 different ReliOn monitors which were much less expensive but one seemed to read high and the other low by about 10-15 points (enough to make a difference). I guess you get what you pay for. This omron is a good choice.
