RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV

The Antenna itself is fine, but it should have come with a Cable Box and Tripod. These items are essential.

I couldn't install this antenna outside, so I tried the attic. The antenna is way to large for my attic, but the contractor managed to install it after seven hours. The problem is trying to find the exact direction to point it in. I mean if you're off by one inch you have no reception, and once the fog came in there was no signal at all. I even purchased and connected an amplifier as recommended, because my attic has a radiant barrier on the roof. I asked the RCA help desk if this was a problem and they couldn't provide an answer. I even spoke with an out-of-state TV repair person, who was very helpful. He thought the signal might be bouncing off the roof, and other suppose it techs said the antenna wouldn’t work in the attic, because of the barrier. Needless to say, I had to find my own solution, which was I putting my Trek-5 antenna with an amplifier in the attic and connecting it to a RCA 3-way splitter 5-900MHz. I connected one TV with a converter box and two HDTVs. I now receive 19 channels, even channels I was sold I couldn't receive. Lesson learned: sometimes these reviews aren't helpful, because each situation is different.

Easy to assemble and set up. Picture clarity rivals digital satellite, which we have in the main house. No problems during heavy rain or snow. I recieve 18 channels from 50-75 miles out. I'm considering giving up satellite and using antennae in the house.

Living out in the country we were at a loss trying multiple different antennas. We went for this antenna and tripled our reception stations. Really good reception on picture and sound.

Live about 46 miles from the antenna farm in VA. Bought the smaller Phillips HDTV antenna and upgraded to this unit. HD has much better quality than the dish did and we love it. Most of my DTV stations are on UHF. One is on VHF. They are about 20 miles away with tons of large trees in the way.

With the existing rabbit ears and loop antenna inside the house, my brand new Samsung plasma HDTV would cut in and out on several channels. Even placing the rabbit ears and loop in the window nearest to the direction of the broadcast stations only helped a little.

I purchased this antenna and had planned to install it on my chimney. It was easy to put together and is made well. It is also MADE IN THE USA by Audiovox. I put it up in the rafters inside my attached garage and tested it out. Worked well.

I permanently installed it by drilling holes into the mounting mast and secured it to my roof rafters. I then secured the antenna up in the rafters as high as I could get it, and pointed it toward the transmitter towers in Milwaukee. I added brand new RG-6 cabling to a 4-port GE plug-in amplifier. I then connected these outputs to my HDTV and my stereo receiver. Both of them work AWESOME on ALL available channels from the list that I received from ANTENNAWEB.ORG. I actually received 90% signal or better on all channels of TV, and even pick up signals from 30 miles in the opposite direction of where I have the antenna pointed.

Even with an amplified TERK indoor FM antenna in the window, I could not keep a "stereo" lock on most radio stations. This solved my issues there as well on ALL available FM radio stations. I plan to hook this up to receive my NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts as well on my emergency radio.

Bottom Line:

This thing is HUGE, but works GREAT.

We live in a low lying area of Englewood Colorado. Prior to purchasing this antenna, we had reception of only a few channels on each TV and often had interrupted signals. With this antenna, we are able to receive more channels than ever and the signal is typically very strong with no interruption. The only disappointment was that the antennal did not come with a mounting bracket which was not mentioned in the on line material.

Antenna gets excellent reception. I am picking up stations more than 30 miles away, off the back of the antenna. The mast is only about 4' tall, so a taller mast would be appreciated. It doesn't say on the website, but this antenna is only rated for violet range on the antenna chart. However, I am picking up stations in the blue range, using an 18db booster. This antenna exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend it. I am in Asheville, NC an am picking up stations from SC and Tennessee. The antenna is well made and easy to assemble.

The antenna was complete, as described, with all necessary hardware included. It restored unimpaired TV reception, without "No Signal" messages for the new digital stations. The only additional item I would have liked would be an attachment clip for the coax transformer, to keep it from flapping in the breeze.
