Boost your UHF, VHF and FM signals with this RCA Outdoor Antenna. With a UHF range of up to 35 miles and a VHF/FM range of up to 60 miles, this HDTV, UHF and VHF Antenna can be used almost anywhere. This Outdoor TV Antenna also has swing-out, snap-lock elements, and a matching transformer is included. This antenna can also be used for fringe-area reception.
I live in Annapolis and mounted on the roof, am able to get all the major DC and Baltimore channels; about 35 total. This is aimed halfway between both cities. I am using this with the GE Drop Amplifier sold from Walmart, but for my application a more powerful amplifier may have picked up some indy channels on the far side of DC.

Review 2 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
I must say I am very satisfied with this product! I installed my antenna above my garage in the highest possible corner-point. I was able to assemble it in the garage then carefully maneuver it in place and fully open the antennas. I wired it directly into a 1x6 Video splitter and got full HD on my 4 TV's. I was able to get all available channels for my area about 30. And all mostly HD. I didn't even need a amplifier for my application. Very satisfied!

Review 3 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
I un boxed this item with excitement, ready to leave satellite provider behind. We are pleased with the instructions and assembly of the antenna, plan on 20-30 minutes just to put this thing together properly. More time to fix it safely to the roof.
Reception - I placed this on my second story roof and aimed it at the appropriate broadcast towers within range. The antenna performs very well. I have large trees and part of my roof in the way of the antenna but it has not been a problem receiving the broadcasts within 60 miles. Visit the FCC web site to figure out which way to point your antenna - it makes a big difference.
No regrets - just know this is a large antenna that works well and is offered at a value compared to other brands.

Review 5 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
The package containing the hardware was open, hardware was sliding around in the box and some of it was missing. I had to buy replacements for the missing parts. Whomever shipped this had to hear all the clatter when they sent it out, I heard it as soon as I picked up the box. F on shipping.

Review 6 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
We got tired of paying $100 a month for 320 channels, 5 or 6 of which we actually watched. So we dumped our TV coverage provider and went back to an antenna for the first time in decades. This antenna brings in local, PBS, weather, and a few religious stations excellently.

I put the antenna together, mounted it on the pole, and it didn't work as good as the little bitty antenna I replaced . I moved it around the yard and tried all the directions the FCC web site suggested . Dallas Ft Worth station towers are 35 to 40 miles away . It's big and impressive looking but it didn't do it for me .

Review 8 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
Bought this to replace the second small amplified antenna I had fail in a year. It is large, but very light, it doesn't seem particularly strong and is all very thin aluminum and plastic. I was able to carry it up my ladder with one hand. Some of the holes didn't quite line up during assembly and the threads on the coax connection broke free and spun while trying to tighten the cable. I noticed this immediately and was carefull not to torque it all the way around. It comes with no cable, so I got good quality coax and hooked it to my tv. I now get all the major channels and a bunch of others. My small amplified antennas only pulled in one major channel and maybe 3 others. So despite the lack of quality it does work really well without any amplification or rotators. You will need to provide your own grounding block/ lightning arrestor set up as well. It cost $20 less at WM than the home improvement stores so happy enough in the end.

Review 10 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
I paid the same price for an indoor antenna and got two times the stations. I even moved the indoor antenna outside to see how it would do, but only got a few stations. This antenna was great. I'm very pleased with it.

The picture shows a lower beam that this antenna does not have but the antenna works great. I replaced a 20 year old antenna after fighting with poor reception after the stations went to digital signals. This antenna is about 2/3 the size of my old one but picks up all the stations in my area and does a great job. My home is in a low area with hills in all directions and lots of trees between me and the station towers. I had purchased a 10db amplifier which is still hooked up but when adjusting the antenna on top of the house with a hand held tv the amplifier was not in use and I still picked up all the stations. I think antennas biuld up corrision over time and loose their ability to work well. Also check your cables for shorts or opens with an ohm meter to insure a good signal to your set. Also my old antenna was 30 feet in the air and this one is only 20 feet up and is still much better than the old larger one. Still using the signal amplifier to split the signal to 3 tv sets.
I had to file burrs off all of the boom sections before I could drive them together with a rubber mallet, but once assembled, connected and positioned, this antenna performs beautifully.

Review 13 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
We live near Washington, DC, and this antenna rocks the house! We are able to bring in over 40 channels, and all the major networks in HD. It is my first experience with an antenna and without cable. Thus far, it is a great alternative to the high cable bill and there is plenty of content to fill my 1-2 hours of TV viewing per day. We bought this basically for our house guests as we normally just watch internet program on laptop. We are very happy with this purchase, easy to install, and a great picture. I did not need an signal booster/amplifier, but I'm only running the signal through 60+ feet of coax cable.

Review 14 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
The antenna did improve my signal strength a little from the standard small tv unit that sits on the television but ...I guess my expetations were a little high. Though, the antenna allowed me to recieve another channel and the signal strength appeared to be little stronger on some of the other channels I think I might of been better sticking with the small tv top unit. Installation was easy and for the money I guess it was not a bad investiment.
JB.

Review 16 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
most of my stations are in a 45-50 mile range. antenna did not get any of them until I added an amplifier on the mast. then it worked ok but should not be advertised as a 60 mile range. even with the amp the signal will cut out at times on the 50 mile stations. the altitude of the antenna is 30 ft from the ground and the elevation of the ground is 80 ft above sea level. my guess the antenna should be rated as a 30 mile range.

Review 17 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
Excellent reception of NYC stations 40 air miles away in central New Jersey. Construction is okay.
However, RCA uses the same model number for two different antennas, which makes the instructions somewhat confusing since they seem to apply to the other model. Also, the instructions state that the words Front and Back are imprinted on the booms, but they were not. But the instructions are in large type and written in real American English, not by someone with English as a second language.

Review 18 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
This thing works great. The only issue's I had was during set up it says to connect the two blue ends together and then the two red ends but there are no colors so I had to guess. Also the ends did not just slide in, I had to tap it in with a hammer. I put it together up on the roof since I worked alone on the project and knew I would not be able to carry it up the ladder in one huge piece. I had 1 or 2 channels that cut out before I set this up. Now I have lots of channels! A few are choppy so I ordered a pre-amp. Can't wait till it gets here since channels 2 and 44 are having poor reception. There are a couple of sites that tell you the direction to point your antenna using a compass. Good luck!

Review 19 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
It was bigger than my original antenna. The instructions were easy to follow. The back assembly did not fit into the main assembly and had to be bent in order for the corners to slide into the main assembly. the front assembly elements had no connection or instruction for connection. The reception is ok. Just a little better than the original antenna that had broken elements which it incured when it hit the ground during hurricane Wilma in 2005. Well worth the price if you are above average assembler. was happy with the delivery was expecting on the 9th and got it on the 6th , election day.

Review 20 for RCA Outdoor 60 Mile Antenna With Mast - UHF, VHF and HDTV
WE ARE 35 MILES FROM SAN FRANCISCO WITH PRETTY CLEAR SIGHT AND THIS ANTENNA DID NOT DO AS WELL AS A MUCH OLDER ONE WITH MORE ELEMENTS FOR GETTING OTA SIGNALS. DIRECTIONS DID NOT EXACTLY MATCH THE ANTENNA. WALMART SHIPPING AND HANDLING (INCLUDING RTURN) WAS EXCELLENT.
