I bought this monitor to replace my 10 year old 17" compaq CRT.. monstrous thing.
It was so weird at first seeing something so small on my desk. But I got used to it.
My video card (NVIDIA GeForce 6200 PCI) doesn't like to run it at 1366x768.. 6 pixels on the right side get cut off. But running it at 1360x768 works just fine.
Took me a bit to get used to a widescreen. Drove me nuts at first. But now I love it and I wouldn't go back.
I would like to upgrade to a bigger LCD eventually, but this is great for now.
As another customer mentioned, it is a little bright, but I've gotten used to that.
I was also a little disappointed by the lack of DVI..
So overall I love this monitor. and I would definitely recommend it.

i had bought an inexpensive monitor in-store that was awful and had to take it back to the store. i went on line to walmart.com and found an ever less expensive monitor but a brand name that i recognized (acer). it arrived within a few days and i only had to pay the 97 cent shipping costs, i think it was. it was pretty much plug and play and it works great. nice picture. decently big screen. this is just for my kids computer that they primarily use for games and i am very pleased with the whole process and the outcome. it is an excellent value for the money spent.

Good price for a 16"monitor, but don't be fooled. When we pulled it out of the box we were shocked. 16" wide, yes, but only about 8" high. Unbelievable. Have never seen a monitor shaped like this. Took it back the same day I got it. Picture quality was not that great either.

I was replacing an old regular 13" monitor because the color was going out so though a 16" would be a nicer upgrade...but although it's wide horizontally it isn't long vertically, I preffered my 13" better as it was easier to see. I find myself leaning forward all the time to get a closer look at things....and I have good vision! I definitly will not buy somthing like this online again, had I seen it in the store I would of passed it by and spent the extra 30 or so bucks on a different monitor.

We ended up returning the monitor. We looked at a 15" in the store but we would've had to ship it or carry it on the plane. We ordered a 16" online and when we got it the screen was only 16 X 10 and too small for us. Other than that a nice monitor. Friends of ours have Acer monitors and love them.

its a nice monitor but I feel its a bit too widescreen because everything gets streched out. I guess if I'm watching a movie it will be nice!.
That's the only downside I see on this product - For the rest I'm happy

The clarity of the images is just fine. I was a bit surprised to see that it seems like a laptop sized screen. The width is fine but I wish it were a bit taller vertically. Still, it's worth the cost.
Read the description a little more carefully than I did to make sure it meets your needs.

Technology certainly gets better all the time. I think I made a mistake ordering the widescreen. I keep trying to adjust sizes so everything doesn't look like a fun-house mirror. Then I had error problems that my display driver was not working. Off & on, off & on. ?

I like the monitor, BUT the on/off button is very hard to operate. If I would have known this , I would have not purchased it. I also cannot seem to darken the screen enough.

I replaced my big hulking 17" monitor with this nice thin lightweight monitor.
It was a little weird at first because it looked so small, but the screen is wide so it really didnt take long to get used to.
I am really glad I purchased this and used the .97 shipping right to my door

Well, for less than $150 I can't complain too much, but I do have a few general recommendations and concerns with this monitor.
1) Do what the manual says- There is a specific order in which to install the monitor to your computer. READ this and follow it!
2) Take the CD OUT after you install it or else the auto config. keeps going on and it will drive you crazy!
3) Even after you take out the CD, the auto config. will STILL drive you crazy! Best advice is to set it to your likings and then when you power down your computer, allow the power-saving mode on the monitor to stay on (the amber light). I am a big fan of conserving power, but I'm an even bigger fan of conserving sanity!! If you power off the monitor, the auto. config goes on again and again and again......(you get the idea, right?)
4) caution: this monitor does NOT have any drivers that it can install so it is only a good choice if you XP, Vista, or a newer operating system.
