It will be wonderful for 2 years

This TV was fantastic. Great price and picture and just the right size for a small apartment. However, because of the nature of plasma tv's, and the small size, heat will become an issue. The back of the tv will become very hot and eventually capacitors will bulge or pop and the tv will no longer function. You will then call vizio and they will inform you that your tv is one month too old to qualify for a courtesy repair and try to foot you with a $300 repair bill. Save your money and time and get an LCD from a more established company like Sony, Samsung or LG. Good Luck

Cheap plasma, Doesn't last

At the time this TV had a very good price for a plasma HDTV. Had it a little over two years, and it started having problems turning on. Would cycle on and off, on and off, after about 2-7 minutes would come on. Yesterday it went completely dead. I noticed the orange Vizio light was out and now no power at all to the TV. If you want to spend five or six hundred bucks for a TV every couple of years, this is the one for you. After checking on internet many people have this same power supply problem.

DO NOT BUY VIZIO TV

Do not buy a vizio TV!!
The company will not help us get this defect fixed and it is now a point of extreme frustration since it takes 13-20 tries to get the TV to turn on. This happens every time we turn on the TV.
The video attached shows me turning on the TV 20 minutes after it was just on.
Basically it has turned into a very expensive paperweight, and it's extremely disappointing.

The picture on this TV is great. The sound quality is good but will work better with a surround sound system. I recommend this for any family that does not use it for video games! Movies are super clear!

For the most part, I have no complaints. It was easy to hook up. Only has 1 RCA hook-up, so we needed to use HDMI cables for the DVD player & we have to get an RCA expansion hub in order to hook up video games & etc with our Dish rcvr. Occasionally, if you hit the input button on the side of the tv instead of using the remote, it will start searching through all of the inputs and not allow you to select one.

i liked my first one so much i bought another one. the picture is 2nd to none. 3 hdmi connections is great. great picture when using my xbox 360. don't worry about burn in. super easy to setup. sound is average at best. but it's ok for me since it is in a small room. and being priced at $437 this is a steal! it doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles as the expensive brands. but the picture is the most important thing. picture looks much better then the vizio 32 inch lcd. buy this tv now if you can find it!

Surprisingly good television. It is replacing a 32 inch LCD. Much prefer the way plasma picture looks compared to LCD (it's closer to CRT quality). Vizio is one of the few brands that makes a plasma this size. This one sits on the end of long dinette table in the kitchen. Read many reviews before purchasing, and believe I made a wise choice.

Overall, this was a great value for the money. The picture quality is clear and crisp. Both with video games and television programs. Be advised that you will have to spend approximately $30 to $60 for additonal cables if you have components. Set up took added time as instructions were not that clear. Good value for money.

Best price vs performance ration

My rating is based on the following configuration: input-DirectTV HD via HDMI; DVD-progressive scan 1080p via RGB. Primary use: Master Bedroom TV, Primary viewing choices: HD Football, HD Basketball, News and movies via HBOHD and ShowtimeHD.
This TV is a great value for the price. The picture quality does not match the picture of my primary TV (Samsung 52" LCD 850 series). But, I never had the expectation of this TV outperforming it. However, when you search for a 32" Plasma or LCD under $500 and you'll immediately see this model gives the best bang for the buck for an HDTV. I will even say it outshines other models I looked at that cost a few hundred more. I will caution that if you hook up to analog picture the picture will not be as crisp. I don't know why but this TV seems to amplify the imperfections of non-HD channels but shines with digital HD channels. If you're an audiophile, hook the TV up to an external source. But I found the sound quality more than adequate for a bedroom TV (it actually sounds better than my Samsung). Off center viewing is excellent.
Play with the picture settings to find your perfect blend. I followed the settings from an earlier review but went 52 on the brightness because my room is well lit. (No problems with glare from sunlight during day). Oh yeah, if you're trying to decide on this model or the Vizio 32" LCD, go with this plasma as the picture is better (in my opinion).

I went to purchase the Vizio 32" LCD not knowing that they even made a plasma in the same size. I ended up getting the plasma because it was all that they had left. I have to say that I am very happy. I have only had it for two days but so far so good. The picture quality in HD is amazing. We are using it in a bedroom and it works great in there.

I have owned this TV for about 6 months and I am falling in love with it more every day. HD channels look incredible as do DVDs through my upconvert DVD player. Even standard definition channels look great on this sreen.
Colors are bright and vibrant. Incredible I/O capacity for a HDTV in this price range with 3 HDMI ins, a component in, VGA in, and digtal coax in, for a grand total 6 HD inputs (plus standard A/V ins).
Sound quality is fine for casual TV viewing. I would recommend an external audio system for movie watching.
This TV is worth double the price that wal-mart is selling it for and is hands-down better than any 32" LCD in the same price range. If you are having any doubts about purchasing an affordable flat panel, buy this one with confidence. You will NOT be disappointed!!

Bought this tv to hook up to the XBOX360. I was running it on 20 yo RCA tube tv.
All I can say is holy cow! Call of Duty 4 and Madden 09 look like you could walk into the picture. Picture does not blur with the motion. The picture blew my mind. The sound is good but not great. I have had it 2 days, so not sure about longterm pros, but Vizio's CS is great I hear. $437, are you kidding me!

ONCE UPS DELIVERED IT, IT WAS EASY TO SET-UP, AND ENJOY. REMOTE CONTROL IS ALSO WELL MADE, BATTERY COVER IS MADE TO NOT BREAK AND FALL OFF LIKE A LOT OF OTHERS. HAVE MY STEREO SPEAKERS HOOKED UP TO IT, MY SON'S PS2 AND Wii IS ALSO HOOKED UP AND I DID IT ALL VERY QUICKLY AND EASILY. THE JACKS ARE ON THE SIDE SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP FUMBLING AROUND BACK THERE. SPECTACULAR COLOR AND NO BURN FROM GAME PLAYING, WHICH IS GREAT!

Really like the Vizio. Think the picture is great. Had read that plazma's are best viewed in low light situations. It was for the bedroom, and is excellent. The one significant drawback for me is the tuning. I am out the country and don't have cable. We get a number of channels in HD, but the tuner only has an auto-tune function. I can't update or add additional channels w/o totally restarting the auto-tune. Other than that, it has been excellent. Getting it for under $450 was a great deal.

I was wanting a 32" HDTV to replace an old 26" TV in my bedroom. This model has lived up to my expectations. Sound quality ia a little weak at times if the surround sound option is turned on. The sleep timer does not have a convenient way to access it. The picture is outstanding though and blows away LCDs that I compared in this price range.
